The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1269: Chapter 1269: Hendrik Zachmann: Why haven’t you gone in yet?

Facing Mateo Gordon’s expectant expression, Caryn Zachmann hesitated for a moment, then took out her phone and said, ”Forget about making a phone call. I don’t know if they are busy, and it wouldn’t be good to interrupt them if they are. Hang on, I’ll send a WhatsApp message instead.”

Mateo thought her relationship with Sadam Vinson was as good as before and shrugged without a second thought, completely trusting her: ”Alright, Ms. Zachmann, you ask Amadeus and the others.”

Caryn walked to the side, lowered her head, found Sadam Vinson’s profile picture in WhatsApp, hesitated, and then carefully drafted a message to send.

[Caryn Zachmann: I passed the preliminary review of Master Cadmus’ lab, and I arranged to celebrate with Mateo Gordon and the others at the Serenity Clubhouse. But the staff told us the venue has been fully booked. Since we’re already here, could you help me talk to the people at Serenity Clubhouse?]

The WhatsApp message was sent successfully in seconds.

Caryn felt unsure, her heart was racing, and she stared intently at her phone, waiting for a reply.

She was lucky.

Her WhatsApp message just sent out, she saw the chat dialogue box showing [The other party is typing...].

Caryn breathed a little sigh of relief, the tension in her furrowed brows relaxed, and she was not as anxious as before.

Her main fear was that Sadam Vinson would ignore her.

Since Sadam Vinson was willing to reply, she felt reassured!

Just as a smile appeared on her face, ready to tell Mateo and the others it was all settled, Sadam Vinson’s message had already come back—[The Serenity Clubhouse is already booked, can’t you find another place to hang out? Why does it have to be there?]

The smile on Caryn’s face froze instantly, her lashes trembled slightly, and her beautiful eyes stayed fixed on the WhatsApp dialogue.

Her fair hands clutched the phone, struggling to type a few words: We’re already here, Mateo and the others are all here, we can’t just up and leave, that’s too...

Sadam Vinson’s message came through again.

[I’m busy, no time to call you. Either find another place or go another day!]

Caryn’s hand, which was typing a message, paused, as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over her head in the dead of winter, she could feel the chill in her chest.

She bit her lower lip, didn’t reply to Sadam Vinson, instead, she put her phone away and nonchalantly told Mateo Gordon: ”Mr. Vinson didn’t reply to my message, he might not be up yet.”

Mateo was stunned, slightly puzzled, Mr. Vinson didn’t reply? He clearly saw Ms. Zachmann chatting on her phone just now.

”Still asleep at this time?”

”Mm.”

Caryn’s face was expressionless, but her hand hanging by her side quietly gripped the phone, feeling anxious and frustrated, she didn’t even feel like talking.

”What about Amadeus then? Why not get Amadeus to...” Mateo hadn’t finished speaking.

Caryn interrupted him: ”Amadeus must be busy, there’s no need to bother him with something this trivial.”

Mateo was baffled, scratching the back of his head, unable to understand Caryn’s meaning: ”Then...”

Mr. Vinson is unreachable.

Amadeus is off-limits.

Ms. Zachmann’s intention is...

Just at that moment, Hendrik Zachmann and the others arrived.

Hendrik drove a Range Rover, the black off-road vehicle slowly stopped near Caryn and the others.

Hendrik opened the car door, got out of the car, and with him came Evron Barness, who lazily glanced at the group of kids and greeted Caryn.

Hendrik also walked over to Caryn, his handsome face showing a hint of surprise, seeming quite puzzled as to why they were standing outside: ”Why didn’t you guys go in?”
