The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1290: Chapter 1290: The owner of that sports car is one of the bosses of the Illegal Zone

Caryn suspected her ears were deceiving her: ”Dad.”

Yet Leonardy didn’t even glance at her, showing how tremendously upset he was this time.

Hendrik was momentarily taken aback but soon realized it too, agreeing that Leonardy was making a mountain out of a molehill, far too exaggerated. He pressed his lips together, his handsome face slightly darkening as he said, ”Dad, this isn’t how you think it is.”

He recounted the matter at Serenity Clubhouse and how Nathalie’s schoolmate saw her getting into a stranger’s sports Car.

After finishing, Hendrik showed the photo of the sports Car taken with his Phone to Leonardy, proving he wasn’t lying.

Finally, he said, ”Caryn and I went to Grandpa’s place to hopefully remind Uncle to pay more attention to Nathalie’s social circle.”

Leonardy scrutinized the photo on the Phone.

The photo indeed captured a red sports Car. He recognized the Car’s brand, and with his wealth, he knew such a Car wasn’t cheap.

Leonardy finished looking at the Photo, stayed silent, and didn’t immediately reply to Hendrik. He merely returned the Phone and closed his eyes, seemingly pondering. After a full minute, he opened his eyes, shook his head at Hendrik, and slowly said, ”Nathalie is not that kind of person.”

Hendrik didn’t expect his dad to choose to protect Nathalie despite the ’evidence,’ not mentioning the slap he gave Caryn.

Suddenly he became somewhat angry, understanding why his mother and sister disliked the little cousin from McKinney.

Hendrik kept a stern face and took back his Phone: ”I already asked Evron Barness to help me find the Car owner’s information, and I believe he will send me a message soon.”

Hendrik thought simply, as long as he knew who the Car owner was Nathalie was with, he’d know if they wronged Nathalie.

While speaking, the Phone screen lit up.

Hendrik saw the caller ID; it was Evron Barness.

He opened the Phone to speaker and answered the call: ”Hello.”

Leonardy and Caryn looked in his direction, holding their breaths.

”Hello.” Evron Barness’s Voice came through the Phone after a second, sounding perfectly normal.

”Did you find it out?” Hendrik was about to ask him about the Car.

Unexpectedly, Evron Barness stumbled ahead of him: ”I was just going to tell you about this situation!”

Hendrik pressed his lips together, waiting for his follow-up.

Then he heard Evron Barness’s quite surprised tone, cautious and low: ”Are you sure your cousin’s schoolmate saw this Car today?”

Hendrik sensed his tone was off, instinctively asked, ”What is it about this Car? Is there a problem?”

”Not exactly a problem.” Evron Barness paused: ”Do you know who owns this Car?”

”Who?”

Hendrik thought he was beating around the bush too much.

It was just a Car, was it worth circling around?

Evron Barness said, ”Valencia Jett, the executive president of JC Group, one of the Illegal Zone bosses. I saw her at the hotel before and thought it was a mistake. Didn’t expect she came to Beijing. Recently, many people from the Illegal Zone have gathered in Beijing, each with a significant background.”

Hendrik once thought he had misheard and didn’t recover for quite a while, left speechless.

Yet Evron Barness continued muttering as if to himself, ”Speaking of, this Valencia is quite impressive, I heard she has a deep connection with that mysterious diamonds tycoon, and the diamonds tycoon’s Power has always been behind her. Didn’t expect your cousin actually knows such people...She’s young but sure has extensive Connections.”
