The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1252: Chapter 1252: Who is really inexperienced!

Hendrik found an excuse to leave the private room first.

Once he left, Leonardy Zachmann’s company just happened to call, so Leonardy temporarily stepped out to take the call as well.

With both of them gone, the stifling atmosphere in the private room instantly relaxed, and Grandma’s family was the first to ease up.

Grandma enjoyed eating the dishes made by the Imperial Hotel’s chef and suddenly spoke with disdain: ”That Nathalie Quinlan is something. Hendrik specially booked a private room at the Imperial Hotel for her to celebrate, and she didn’t even come. If she wasn’t coming, she should have said earlier, making the whole family wait for her alone. Typical behavior of someone coming back from McKinney, utterly petty and lacking any manners.”

Though her words were harsh, she wasn’t shy at all about enjoying the banquet’s dishes. Despite her age, Bernard Ingram was definitely one of the people eating the most tonight.

She didn’t care about whose favor she was relying on to have the chance to dine at a place like the Imperial Hotel.

Openly and secretly belittling Nathalie Quinlan: ”She merely made it into a minor competition, it’s not like she won first place, yet she acts all high and mighty.”

After saying this, Grandma took a sip of the celebratory wine Hendrik had prepared for Nathalie, elegantly shook the goblet as she put it down, unable to hide the mockery in her smirk: ”But you can’t blame her, just think about her previous experiences. She stayed in McKinney, a third-tier city, until she was eighteen and just came to Beijing in September. I bet she doesn’t even know what kind of place the Imperial Hotel is...”

Bernard Ingram’s tone was extremely arrogant and disdainful when she said this.

She wasn’t looking down on Nathalie Quinlan.

She said it that way because that’s what she thought inside.

The Zachmann Family had split.

The connections and family property were all in Leonardy Zachmann’s branch, Room Two.

Her little grandnephew only got a small portion of real estate and an old house. What’s the use of the old house being valuable? Stanley Zachmann couldn’t possibly sell the house.

Stanley doesn’t sell the house, then he’s just a poor teacher.

Being a professor at Tsinghua University sounds prestigious, but inside, he’s broke, without money nor status. Could he compare with Leonardy Zachmann inheriting the family business?

Likewise, what does Nathalie Quinlan have to compare with Caryn Zachmann?

The circles that Caryn Zachmann is mixed up in are those that ordinary families like hers have never even heard of. Her son used to get job arrangements thanks to Caryn speaking to people, Caryn just made a phone call to that someone named Govert Griffin, and quickly her son’s job was arranged.

Bernard Ingram heard Celine Tucker talk about it, that Govert Griffin was not even the most powerful person Caryn Zachmann knew, just a minor lackey.

Caryn Zachmann also knew higher-ranking people and circles.

So in her eyes, it’s normal for Caryn Zachmann’s family background to dine at the Imperial Hotel, because it’s a place Caryn frequents.

But Nathalie Quinlan is almost no different from her, perhaps even worse off. When she boasts to friends about dining at the Imperial Hotel tonight, how many envy her.

Nathalie Quinlan had the chance to come but instead puts on airs. She’s simply unaware of the class of the Imperial Hotel!

Bernard Ingram looked again at the sumptuous dishes on the table, recalling when her son mentioned, chefs at the Imperial Hotel were Cantonese cuisine master chefs capable of preparing national-level banquets, her expression became more scornful, sneering at Nathalie Quinlan’s absence.

Ignorance!

She was the only one speaking in the private room. Her son and grandson, fortunately, were not as mercenary in nature, primarily being young and unable to bring themselves to badmouth others or say bad things about their own family, so they buried their heads in their meals, pretending not to hear.
