The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1259: Chapter 1259: Finally Know Who Amadeus Inherited From

Jackson Wafford lifted his head to look at the flowering orchid on the flower stand, the little white flowers surrounded by bright green leaves, possessing a unique charm.

He usually enjoyed tending to plants, especially orchids.

Seeing such a flourishing orchid, he would definitely appreciate it thoroughly, but he had things on his mind now and was in no mood to appreciate the flowers.

Jackson Wafford withdrew his gaze and said reluctantly, ”Mr. Yancey’s flowers bloom quite beautifully.”

Giordano Yancey laughed heartily at this: ”If you want, I’ll give you a pot to take back, how about it?”

Jackson Wafford looked conflicted: ”Mr. Yancey, I...” He didn’t want the flowers; he wanted to leave!

Before he could finish his sentence, a phone call from Leo Dunn came through.

Seeing it was Leo Dunn calling, Jackson Wafford knew the group competition results were out. Feeling a jolt in his heart, he paid no mind to Giordano Yancey’s presence and quickly answered the phone, speaking urgently and quickly, ”Hey, how are the competition results?”

Giordano Yancey pretended to sip tea indifferently, but the butler who brought over the fertilizer could see clearly that the old man’s eyes kept darting towards Mr. Wafford, his ears perked up.

Seemingly holding his breath, more nervous than Mr. Wafford, yet trying to maintain a calm demeanor...

The corners of Yancey Family’s old butler’s mouth twitched, silently putting the fertilizer under the flower stand and then returning to quietly brew a new pot of tea for Jackson Wafford, standing observantly nearby.

”First place?” Jackson Wafford couldn’t contain his excitement, suddenly standing up and moving aside with the phone: ”You mean Nathalie Quinlan advanced to the finals!”

”Great! Great! This is good news!”

Jackson Wafford himself hadn’t anticipated Nathalie Quinlan delivering such stunning results, securing first place and advancing directly to the finals.

His face couldn’t hide his delight, unable to control his volume: ”I’m heading back to school right away.”

Jackson Wafford ended the phone call and turned to say to the elder calmly drinking tea, ”Mr. Yancey, there’s a matter at school, I need to leave now.”

Earlier, he had mentioned wanting to leave, but Giordano Yancey hadn’t let him go, finding excuses to keep him.

This time, however, he readily put down the tea, waved his hand, not even bothering to lift his eyelids: ”Let’s go.”

Jackson Wafford exchanged a few more pleasantries with him before hastily leaving.

After Jackson Wafford left, Giordano Yancey stood up, hands behind his back, coughed, and said to the old butler: ”I’m tired, could you prune that orchid for me, I’m going to rest.”

”Alright.” The old butler didn’t lift his head but heart clear as a mirror, watched him leave before slowly straightening his back, shaking his head with some helplessness, and smiling.

Mr. Yancey didn’t really want Mr. Wafford at his place to appreciate the flowers.

The old man clearly knew today was Ms. Quinlan’s group competition day.

Knowing Mr. Wafford would have real-time competition info, he invited Mr. Wafford over to ”accompany him to look at the flowers” precisely for this!

Appreciating the flowers was a ruse, subtly inquiring about Ms. Quinlan’s competition results was his real motive.

But the old man could have directly asked Mr. Wafford about Ms. Quinlan’s results; instead, he insisted on eavesdropping, making Mr. Wafford sit uneasily for two hours looking at flowers here.

Putting it frankly, this move by the old man was quite cunning.

In Yancey Family’s direct descent, seemingly only Mr. Yancey’s temperament closely resembled the old man, at times they’re practically identical.

To the left of Tsinghua University’s main gate, a red Lamborghini was arrogantly parked.

Nathalie Quinlan stepped out and received a WhatsApp message from Valencia Jett.

[I’m the red car.]

Nathalie Quinlan lifted her gaze, saw the eye-catching red sports car parked by the roadside, twitched the corners of her eyes, and strode over there.

Ah, what can I say, just very Valencia!
