The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: This is No Accident_1

Ghania Quinlan’s elbow hurt a bit from the collision, and though she was originally displeased and furrowed her brows, she suddenly noticed the abnormal nervousness on the other’s face and, with a flicker in her eyes, shook her head.

”...It’s nothing.”

While observing Jane Bailey’s expression, she remembered the words whispered to her when Gabriella Cagwin was expelled, something about teaching Nathalie Quinlan a lesson. Could it be that she was behind this incident?

Realizing that she had inadvertently stumbled upon the truth, Ghania Quinlan’s first reaction was to furrow her brows.

She couldn’t understand how Jane Bailey, having caused such a commotion, had only managed to injure Nathalie Quinlan’s right arm. She didn’t know whether to call her stupid or a waste of space.

In the nurse’s office, the dean of students was momentarily dumbfounded and, not coming to his senses, said in a puzzled tone, ”Mr. Sullivan, isn’t this just an accident?”

Nancy Sullivan didn’t know how to explain.

She couldn’t simply say the students suspected it wasn’t an accident, as they had no evidence to prove it wasn’t.

Right then, Nathalie Quinlan slowly stood up, holding her shoulder and with a bandit-like glance at the crowd outside, her lips slightly pursed. ”It’s not an accident.”

”Huh?”

Both the dean and Nancy Sullivan looked at her.

Even Mr. Jones looked over and asked, ”Student Nathalie Quinlan, you say it’s not an accident, what do you mean?”

Nathalie Quinlan glanced at Jhovany Sullivan and with a composed face, while covering her injured arm, calmly answered, ”Someone slipped a note in my desk asking me to meet behind the teaching building during PE class. Coincidentally, Jhovany Sullivan found that note. Worried about a possible prank, she took the note and went to the designated spot. If I hadn’t noticed in time, those steel pipes wouldn’t have fallen on my arm, but on her. So, is this an accident? What kind of accident goes after someone’s life?”

At these words, there was a deathly silence in the nurse’s office. Both the school teachers and the onlooking students were stunned.

No. 1 Middle School is the best high school in McKinney. Even being late or skipping class would result in a demerit; such a serious incident had never occurred before.

Mr. Jones looked grave and asked Nathalie Quinlan seriously, ”Student Nathalie Quinlan, do you have evidence for what you are claiming?”

This matter affected No. 1 Middle School’s century-old reputation and was not to be taken lightly.

Nathalie Quinlan turned to Jhovany Sullivan and asked, ”Jhovany, do you still have that note?”

From the moment Nathalie began speaking of the note, Jhovany Sullivan had looked dumbstruck, as if wondering how Nathalie could possibly know about it. It wasn’t until Justin Wafford nudged her with his elbow that she came back to her senses, her expression uglier than crying: ”I... I threw the note away.”

Nancy Sullivan, Freddy Cagwin, and the others all showed looks of disappointment.

Only Ghania Quinlan and Jane Bailey outside breathed a sigh of relief.

At this point, she stepped forward, her delicate beauty standing out in the crowd. She began softly, ”Mr. Jones, Mr. Sullivan, this must be a misunderstanding. Since students Nathalie Quinlan and Jhovany Sullivan are alright, perhaps it was just an accident. I think there’s no need to make a big fuss and investigate.”

Jane Bailey hurriedly chimed in beside her, ”Yeah, yeah, they’re fine anyway, why cause such unease in the school.”

Nathalie Quinlan was still uncertain who was behind this, but seeing them jump out, her dark eyes became profound as she stared at Ghania, her gaze piercing like it could see through hearts, mocking her. ”You think so?”

”...”

Although Nathalie Quinlan’s voice sounded quite normal, for some reason, Ghania just heard a sarcastic tone in it.
