The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 67: Chapter 67: They Will Definitely Agree_1

Emilia Sullivan watched her finish the chicken soup, took the empty bowl, and replied nonchalantly, ”What do you need your dad for? He’s busy these days, has a meeting tonight, and might come back late.”

”Oh.”

Ghania Quinlan wasn’t surprised. Their family’s business had been doing well these past few years, the company soared and successfully went public, so it was normal for her dad to be busy.

She remembered what Zayn Fisher had told her tonight and casually said, ”Richardo Fisher heard that our family has good relations with Pinecone Group. He asked me for a favor. He said that he attended an auction a few days ago and the president of Pinecone Group won a bid for a rare Traditional Chinese Medicine. Someone important in Beijing also wants it. He wants us to put in a word with Pinecone Group, see if they can give the medicinal herb to the Fisher family.”

Having been with Zayn Fisher for so long, the people in the Fisher family had always been lukewarm towards her, neither acknowledging nor denying her status, their attitude vague and unclear.

It was not easy for Richardo Fisher to entrust her with a task, and she was determined to do it well, to regain her pride in front of the Fisher family!

Ghania Quinlan took the matter very seriously and asked her, ”Mom, when dad comes back tonight, you must talk to him about this, make sure he gets Pinecone Group to agree to give up the medicinal herb. We can even offer more money if necessary.”

Emilia Sullivan didn’t take it to heart, patted the back of her hand, and comforted her, ”Don’t worry, our relationship with Pinecone Group has always been good. They entrusted all of their cinemas to us for construction. This little matter, they will surely agree.”

Finally, Ghania Quinlan showed a satisfied smile and said to her, ”Mom, I’m going upstairs to wash up and sleep.”

”Go ahead.”

Emilia Sullivan watched her go upstairs, then turned and walked to the telephone at home, hesitated for a moment, and made a phone call to Jeff Quinlan, repeating what Ghania Quinlan had entrusted to her.

.

The next day.

No. 1 Middle School Principal’s Office.

Nancy Sullivan got the message early in the morning. She skipped morning supervision and rushed to the principal’s office first.

”Knock knock.”

She knocked twice on the door, and then Mr. Jones’s voice rang out from inside.

”Come in.”

Nancy Sullivan opened the door and walked in.

”Mr. Jones, are you the one who approved Freddy Cagwin, the student from our class who took a leave of absence, to return to school and continue his studies?”

Seeing her come in with a furious look on her face, Mr. Jones put down his pen, leaned back in his leather chair with a smile, ”Mr. Sullivan, don’t be so anxious. Freddy Cagwin’s grades weren’t bad, he just missed some classes. He will catch up slowly.”

Nancy Sullivan’s forehead veins were throbbing as she protested fiercely, ”Mr. Jones!”

”Freddy Cagwin didn’t just miss a class or two; he took a three-month leave of absence!”

Mr. Jones still had that amiable smile, looking like a Maitreya Buddha, ”Only three months, he’ll catch up soon enough.”

”But the new semester exams are coming up soon!”

”When the time comes, all the classes will be tested. Our class already has Nathalie Quinlan; now with Freddy Cagwin, who has been on leave for three months, how are we supposed to compete? Class A has always been the best class in No. 1 Middle School. If we lose to other classes in the new semester exams, how can I continue to lead Class A with any dignity?”

Her words were filled with righteous indignation. Mr. Jones could no longer just brush her off with a laugh. He sighed, had to tell her the truth, ”Mr. Sullivan, Freddy Cagwin will definitely return to school, and he will be back to his original class. There is no room for negotiation on this. Let me tell you this, I can’t make the call on this matter either.”

The Wilmar family from Beijing personally came to me and asked the school to give this ’face.’ Who dares to refuse?
