The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Ghania, You’re Just Audrick Zachmann’s Ideal Type_1

Gabriella Cagwin felt she had overestimated herself and the clout of Freddy Cagwin and Nathalie Quinlan in her class; she didn’t even consider losing and immediately agreed without a second thought.

”Alright! Let’s do as you say!”

After speaking, she took the test booklet, curled her lips upward, revealing a scornful smile, ”Mr. Sullivan, I’ll be waiting for you to hand over the title of excellent class to me!”

*

The squabble between the two homeroom teachers in the office quickly spread throughout the school.

In Class B, Jane Bailey was the first to get the news. Upon hearing it, she ran to Ghania Quinlan as if she had won a prize to share the good news, ”Ghania, Ms. Cagwin and the homeroom teacher of Class A have locked horns. They’ve bet on the upcoming start-of-term exam scores. If our class loses, Ms. Cagwin has to apologize to Class A. If Class A loses, we’ll become Class A. Let’s see how Nathalie Quinlan can be so arrogant now.”

Ghania was organizing her information when she heard this and smiled—it really was good news. She raised a light smile gently and said softly, ”I hope we can win.”

Jane didn’t even have to think before replying, ”Class A has two dead weights; we’re sure to win. Oh right, Ghania, are you preparing your script for the TV show?”

She looked at all the honor certificates on Ghania’s desk and said with immense envy, ”You’re so lucky, Ghania, to actually be able to be interviewed on the same program as Audrick Zachmann.”

The Quinlan family was wealthy. Once it was confirmed that Ghania Quinlan would be recommended for admission to National Artists University, her father Jeff Quinlan had generously given her a good sum of money, propelling her to the title of the most beautiful prospective student at National Artists University.

Ghania herself already had an online account and liked to share tasty treats and fun things, as well as carefully selected selfies taken from flattering angles.

Her good looks, along with the deliberately cultivated illusion of being a positive second-generation rich, attracted a sizable online following.

This time, with the buzz around the title of the most beautiful prospective student, Ghania had essentially become a minor internet celebrity.

Some TV shows, noticing her high online heat, had sent her invitations. The program that Ghania was going to attend was a talk show, focusing on current hot topics.

It was said that Audrick Zachmann would also be there!

Audrick Zachmann was the dream of countless young girls, holding the title of the most desirable man in the entertainment circle for three consecutive years, with a handsomeness that could shatter heaven and earth. Coupled with a personality both warm-hearted and witty, he had many girls swooning over him.

Jane Bailey was a die-hard, brainless fan of Audrick, with his posters all over her family’s home, nearly obsessed with following every step of his schedule.

”If you both appear on the show together, you’ll be up close and personal with Audrick,” she said with a mix of jealousy and envy, looking at Ghania, ”Brother said he likes the girl-next-door type, and he’s really keen on a sister who is obedient, and gentle. Ghania, you’re just his type. If he falls for you at first sight, don’t forget you have Senior Zayn.”

Audrick Zachmann, oh Audrick... As good as he was, he was just a star. Where could he compare to her family’s distinguished Zayn Fisher?

However, if a top star developed a liking for her, even if just as a little sister, she would be able to steal the show. Ghania imagined that scene, lowering her eyelids, taming the pride in her eyes, and spoke softly to reassure, ”Don’t worry, if I get a chance, I’ll help you get his autograph.”

Jane’s mood lifted instantly, and she jumped up, ecstatic, ”Really?”

”Really.”

She grabbed Ghania’s hand as if she had already gotten the autograph, ”Audrick likes your type; you’re sure to get it!”

...

Almost simultaneously.

Class A got the news too.

Compared to the jubilant spirits in Class B, the atmosphere in Class A was depressingly low.

Only Nathalie Quinlan seemed unaware of it.

She had stayed up late the previous night, working through the night to finish what she had promised to Lowie Wilmar. It was already past three in the morning. By seven, she had to be at school. Nathalie’s eyes were filled with the unrest of not having slept enough.
