The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Just an Accident? (Vote and Check-in)_1

Half an hour later.

Nancy Sullivan, Justin Wafford, Freddy Cagwin, and quite a few people from Class A hurried to the school medical room.

”Nathalie, are you alright?”

”Ghania Quinlan, are you okay?”

Everyone saw this scene as they walked in.

The school doctor had finished bandaging Ghania Quinlan’s wounds. Her arm, hoisted up, was exposed showing a length of snow-white skin with gauze coiled around it, through which a hint of blood could dimly be seen.

Nathalie Quinlan’s expression was fine, except for her face color being paler due to the blood loss, and she seemed remarkably calm, as if she didn’t know pain.

Jhovany Sullivan cried beside her like a tearful mess, covering her face in immense guilt, continually apologizing on the side: ”Nathalie, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know it would turn out like this.”

Seeing that both of them hadn’t sustained serious injuries, Nancy Sullivan breathed a sigh of relief. She walked over, patted Ghania Quinlan on the shoulder, and asked in a lowered voice, ”Are you okay?”

”Just some scrapes on my arm, nothing else.” She even boastfully raised her hand, showing that her bone hadn’t been damaged.

Justin Wafford went over and pulled the hands away from the sobbing girl’s face, comforting her softly, ”Why the tears? It looks terrible. Nathalie is fine, isn’t she?”

Jhovany Sullivan was so full of self-reproach she could hardly face anyone, whimpering, ”It’s all my fault.”

Had she not believed that little note and gone to see what it was about, Ghania Quinlan wouldn’t have gotten hurt.

Jhovany Sullivan nearly cried herself to death, refusing to lift her head as tears fell heavily.

Justin Wafford wiped away her tears with his hand, uncharacteristically refraining from bickering, his voice gentle, ”Okay, stop crying. Your tears are giving Nathalie a headache.”

”Do you want her to comfort you with her injured hand?”

”I, I didn’t.”

Of course, she didn’t want that. Jhovany Sullivan wiped away her tears, wanting to cry but not daring to, she held back, her round apple-shaped face flushed red, her eyes also reddened, looking like a red-eyed rabbit as she stood there helplessly.

Freddy Cagwin was the calmer one among the group. Knowing that Ghania Quinlan was alright, he immediately said to Nancy Sullivan, ”Mr. Sullivan, those steel pipes were just sitting there on the rooftop. How could they suddenly fall and hit someone?”

”This...” When Nancy Sullivan had first heard about the incident, she rushed over worried about the student’s safety and hadn’t yet considered that aspect, now looking equally perplexed.

Indeed, those discarded steel pipes had been there for a long time. Them suddenly falling down didn’t make sense.

Because of the accident at school, Mr. Jones, the principal, and others like the dean of students arrived on the scene.

Along with them were some students who had heard the gossip and came to watch the excitement.

”Is student Ghania Quinlan okay?” Mr. Jones tense with concern, immediately inquired with the school doctor upon arrival.

Before coming here, he had already made a phone call to Amadeus Yancey, considering Ghania Quinlan’s special status. An incident at their school compelled him to notify the student’s family and guardian.

Seeing that Ghania Quinlan was not seriously hurt, he turned and asked the dean of students, ”What happened here?”

The dean of students, massaging his forehead and looking equally pained, explained, ”It seems like an accidental incident. It rained a few days ago and the steel pipes that were piled up rolled down. The rooftop railing might have rusted over the years, and suddenly broke, causing the pipes to fall, almost hitting them.”

”So this was just an accidental incident?” Mr. Jones still felt uneasy.

Because of what Freddy Cagwin had mentioned earlier, Nancy Sullivan was more vigilant, ”Principal, should we check into this further? I just feel it’s too coincidental.”

Both Ghania Quinlan and Jane Bailey were among the crowd outside the school medical room. When Jane heard Nancy Sullivan mention a further investigation, her face visibly changed, and she tensed up, shrinking backwards. Inadvertently, she collided with Ghania Quinlan standing in silence, flustering her as she hurriedly apologized, ”Ghania, I’m sorry, are you okay?”
