Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 189: Chapter 91 Accidents Come Faster Than Tomorrow_4

The captain of the Cow Herder class even came to greet personally.

After seeing Chen Ming, he proactively extended his hand and said, ”Welcome, Mr. Chen, please follow me.”

Chen Ming shook his hand, and followed him to a lounge inside the ship.

On the table in the lounge were some fruits, a terminal, and a card.

After bringing Chen Ming inside, the captain voluntarily opened the terminal and handed it to Chen Ming, saying, ”Mr. Chen, here is the general structure of our spaceship.”

”The areas marked in red are sections within our spaceship that only professional personnel can enter, while you can freely access the regions that are not marked.”

”This card is a pass card that can be used onboard; it is needed for access between different areas to ensure passage.”

”I still need to oversee this mission, but if you need anything, you can contact me directly via the terminal, or it’s fine to find someone else.”

Chen Ming put away the terminal and card, nodding to him.

Although the journey is only four to five hours, the attitude of doing things is very responsible.

The captain soon left the lounge, leaving only Chen Ming alone inside.

So Chen Ming immediately removed his gauntlet, placing his hand on the hull of the spaceship.

Here, Chen Ming also received a prompt allowing him to control the spaceship.

But he wasn’t eager to directly control the spaceship.

Because last time when he controlled the 200-meter-long Refraction class spaceship, he nearly passed out; this time, with the body doubling in length and multiplying several times in size, preparation must be made before controlling it.

At the very least, he cannot do it now when he can’t fully ensure his safety.

If he can’t withstand it and falls into a coma, then if something unexpected happens in the middle of the spaceship’s journey,

that would be a big problem, as the countermeasures he prepared previously wouldn’t be able to be activated automatically.

It might be better to wait until reaching the Star Realm Capital and try to control it when disembarking.

Anyway, even if Chen Ming passes out directly then, there will definitely be someone from the company to safely send him to the hospital.

While the spaceship was still moving away from the Space Station, with network connection available, Chen Ming thought for a moment and simply gave his boss a call.

The call took a while to get connected.

After all, it was around three in the morning, and the boss’s voice was filled with drowsiness: ”Xiao Mu? What’s going on?”

”Boss, I have to go out again after this, and this time it might take some time before I return.”

”So urgent?”

”Yes, it might have been a few days later, but the military’s actions towards me were too swift, and the company’s ship to pick me up is ready, so I decided to go.”

The boss became somewhat spirited instantly, saying: ”Are you planning to follow the company’s route afterwards? Not bad, stay in touch when you have time.”

”I’m really interested in seeing how your career develops in the future.”

”Hmm.”

While they were speaking.

The Cow Herder also started its engines, preparing to set sail with its fleet.

Chen Ming had already discussed with the director ahead of time about wanting to bring his own ship while in the lounge.

So now, following closely behind this fleet taking off, were Chen Ming’s Iron Ore No. and Centurion.

Although Chen Ming only had two spaceship control slots, one of which was still on the Armor-Piercing Level ship,

Chen Ming only needed to temporarily switch the control slots and give follow commands to Iron Ore No. and Centurion.

With the autopilot system, this matter wasn’t troublesome.

The fleet left the Space Station and soon reached the edge of the Star System, entering Superspace.

When the fleet entered the Superspace Channel,

even though Chen Ming was on another spaceship, he still instinctively used the sensor from the accompanying Centurion to scan the surroundings.

Then he discovered that, on the edge closer to the gravity well of the Star System’s star, around the Space Station, a large number of military fleets appeared on the main superspace channels leading to other Star Systems.

Chen Ming couldn’t help but mutter, ”The army... Is this flipping the table?”

”What’s wrong, Xiao Mu?”

The boss’s voice came from the terminal that hadn’t completely lost communication signal.

Chen Ming immediately said, ”The army has blocked the superspace channels to other Star Systems; we’re trapped.”

”What now?”

As soon as the boss’s words fell, the military’s ship sent a message to conduct a routine inspection of this Sinda Corporation’s fleet.

In the Edge Star Realm, both the government and military have relatively more power compared to the Prosperous Star Realm.

So conducting routine inspections on passing ships, honestly, isn’t considered excessive.

Whenever the military falls short on performance, they block people in the passage, and whoever gets blocked is unlucky.

It has always been an unspoken rule in the Edge Star Realm.

However, it’s the first time the military has come directly to block the entrance of the Pirate Space Station.

As for the reason, Chen Ming is very clear.

The four channels leading to different Star Systems around the Star System were all blocked by military fleets.

He seems to have no way out.
