Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 167: Chapter 86: Armor Piercing and Kidnapping_2

This Armor Piercing ship is something Chen Ming is determined to acquire.

Moreover, Chen Ming has actually found some areas on the Armor-Piercing Level that can be modified.

The design of the Armor-Piercing Level is indeed of a high standard, but Chen Ming still found some traces on the spaceship where Sinda Corporation’s professional designers had cut corners for mass production.

These are the areas that Chen Ming can entirely modify, making them more powerful and suitable for him.

But it’s only in these areas, which were compromised for mass production, that Chen Ming can make modifications.

With his current technology, he can’t find any other points to modify.

This reflects a lack of technology, as Chen Ming’s skills are starting to fall behind the intensity of the spaceships he acquires.

He now must learn some new knowledge, or he always feels that in the future there will be situations where his technology can’t keep up with the upgrades of the spaceship technology, resulting in him wanting to modify but unable to do so.

If Chen Ming can’t bring out the most powerful effects of his Spiritual Energy transformations on his panel, he might as well find a Spiritual Stone and smash himself to death.

This matter also needs to be scheduled.

Chen Ming went through all his thoughts in his mind once more, then carefully browsed through the Armor-Piercing Level’s panel again, making sure there were no overlooked areas, and then turned off its panel.

He then projected the visuals scanned by the Armor-Piercing Level’s sensors in front of him.

When the Armor-Piercing Level was placed in the exhibition hall, it already had some fuel loaded, and the spaceship’s system had always been on.

Therefore, Chen Ming could directly see the current location of the Armor-Piercing Level and its situation through the spaceship sensors.

As Chen Ming looked through the sensors.

The Armor-Piercing Level had been transported from the exhibition hall to what should be a maintenance factory.

A spaceship engineer dressed in Sinda Corporation uniform was commanding more than a dozen ordinary maintenance masters, operating more complex and professional-looking equipment than those at the Space Station’s maintenance factory, performing maintenance work on the Armor-Piercing Level.

Just as Chen Ming planned to check the surroundings to determine the location of the Armor-Piercing Level.

A person wearing a security guard uniform, who was extremely robust, walked in through one side of the maintenance factory’s door.

It was the person who had just found Chen Ming and Old Wu, safely taking them away from the scene.

The Sinda Corporation engineer immediately noticed him and greeted him, saying: ”Deputy Director Lin, how have you been recently?”

”Same as always, but the upcoming period will be quite busy.”

Deputy Director Lin quickly walked to the engineer’s side, looked at the Armor-Piercing Level in front of him, and asked, ”How’s the spaceship?”

”You and I go way back, don’t you trust my work?”

The engineer patted the Armor-Piercing Level’s armor with his hand and said, ”It’s already repaired; the previous damage wasn’t significant, and it can be inspected right away.”

Deputy Director Lin looked at the busy surroundings and nodded slightly, suddenly pulling out a cigarette from his pocket, lighting it for himself, and then handed one to the engineer.

The engineer took it skillfully but didn’t smoke it immediately; instead, he suddenly asked curiously, ”I heard your side wanted us to put the Armor-Piercing Level at the auction to attract Zuo Jing’s attention?”

Deputy Director Lin did not hide this from the engineer and said, ”That’s correct.”

”This Armor-Piercing Level is one of your company’s most advanced technologies, enough to tempt Luder Zuo Jing to have designs on the spaceship.”

”We hope to use it as bait to attract Zuo Jing’s people, to thus eliminate the Zuo Jing personnel lurking in the colonies, even if we can’t completely eradicate them, at least hinder their actions for a period of time.”

The engineer briefly directed the nearby maintenance masters before continuing to ask, ”But I heard that Zuo Jing didn’t fall for it and that the ones looking for the Armor-Piercing Level were actually their bait?”

”That’s right, but it doesn’t affect anything.”

”Apart from using your Armor-Piercing, we deliberately designed several high-tech targets.”

”We set priority levels according to the value of different targets, determining the sequence of support from our team.”

”Even if we didn’t discover that the Zuo Jing looking for the Armor-Piercing was just bait, the dispatched support guard unit would still abandon the exhibition hall first to head to the actual attacked location.”

”The loss of the exhibition hall and Armor-Piercing means nothing to us.”

The engineer suddenly asked pointedly, ”Does the loss of over two hundred dead people also mean nothing?”

Deputy Director Lin’s previously seemingly amiable face suddenly showed a smile radiating coldness.

”Dead, it’s actually a good thing for us, I hope more people would personally attend the auction.”

When people die, the money is sure to flow elsewhere, and when the money flows, there’s an opportunity to take a cut.

Although Deputy Director Lin didn’t say this explicitly, both the engineer and Chen Ming, who was eavesdropping, understood this reasoning clearly.

Deputy Director Lin was silent for a little while, suddenly took out a terminal, glanced at it, and said, ”The large weapons for the Armor-Piercing have already been delivered to the maintenance factory, it will be up to you to install them afterward.”

”What did you prepare, Speed Particle Spear?”

”Speed Particle Technology Company currently has no intention of selling the new Speed Particle Spear, we used our self-developed weapon, the Automatic Pulse Laser.”

”Sounds a bit unconvincing.”

”The flashy names never mattered, the effect is what’s important.”

”The subsequent combat tests of the spaceship will be conducted in the Galor-2 Star Zone, where the Dusk Fleet has been quite active recently, a perfect opportunity to handle it.”
