Chapter 337: Bloodstained Duel Arena

”Ah!”

A piercing scream rose from the entrance of the Duel Arena, where a short-haired man with a pointed chin, not particularly tall, had barely been about to open the door when, unexpectedly, a sharp cleaver flew viciously towards him, piercing through his rough hand and nailing it firmly onto the iron gate. No matter how he struggled to free himself, he could not remove the cleaver that Zifeng had struck with all his might.

This sent the minions in the Duel Arena into complete panic, even Qiao Bu’en on the third floor grew apprehensive. His eyes bulged as he accidentally touched the corpse of the old man who had just died beneath the wolf’s claws, frightening him to the point where he felt his soul was almost flying out.

At that moment, several black-clad bodyguards finally ran into the resting hall on the third floor. They were all the late elder’s constant companions, and upon seeing their boss lying dead on the spot, the five tall black-clad bodyguards were instantly petrified by the ghastly sight of their boss’s death.

”It’s him! It’s him! He killed your boss! Why aren’t you killing him yet!” Qiao Bu’en cowered in a European-style suede chair, his eyes wide with horror as he trembled and pointed vaguely in Lin Zifeng’s direction, roaring unclearly from his mouth. At this point, all his hopes were pinned on them; if the man in the mask on the second floor did not die, his life would be in danger today. He was very clear in his mind that the masked man’s powerful entrance had begun with a piercing glance at him.

This made him, who was highly suspicious, realize early on that something bad was about to happen, but he had not anticipated such a horrific scene would unfold!

The five bodyguards, stricken with grief, glared fiercely at Lin Zifeng. At this moment, their boss was dead, and if they didn’t kill the opponent today, the consequences for them would be even more terrible than for their deceased boss!

With a swift rustle, at a glance, the five men were obviously ex-special forces soldiers, judging by their build and their light steps, Lin Zifeng could tell their skills were not that of rookies just starting out in the Martial Arts World.

However, the person they encountered today was definitely not the petty thugs they had known before.

All five simultaneously pulled out hand arrows from behind their waists, which was their main confidence in not fearing Lin Zifeng.

But Lin Zifeng’s reaction speed left the five men somewhat stunned. As soon as the hand arrows were drawn, they saw their opponent swiftly advancing towards them with an ominous speed!

In an instant, Lin Zifeng’s right foot stamped against the wall, using the wall’s inertia and the elasticity under his feet to climb up from the second floor’s spectator platform, raising his hand to flip a large table and hurling it straight at the five men.

”Bang, bang, bang!” Dozens of arrows tore through the air, chaotically bursting towards the table. After firing dozens of arrows continuously, there was no longer any movement beneath the table, and Qiao Bu’en’s heart finally relaxed.

But when the table was lifted, the figure of the masked man suddenly emerged from beneath it. After prying a nail from the joint of the table, he threw it forcefully forward. The nail whistled through the air, and after a few ’swoosh, swoosh’ sounds, two of the black-clad bodyguards, clutching their necks spurting fresh blood, collapsed backward, their eyes filled with incredulous shock as they fell!

The remaining three hardly had time to recover from the shocking scene when Lin Zifeng’s figure leaped over the table, hand chopping towards the head of one of the men.

”Crack!”

The tremendous force of his arm instantly petrified the black-clad bodyguard on the spot, his gaze gradually fading into emptiness. In a short while, cracks began to appear on the bodyguard’s head, and his entire face and skull started to show many lacerations; eventually, as the man hit the ground, his entire head just touched the surface and rapidly started to crack apart...

”Ah!”

The two bodyguards exchanged a shocked look, and just as they were about to shoot their arrows again, two tiger-like paws instantly seized the quivers in their hands! Lin Zifeng’s lips slowly curled into a sinister smile.

Then the hand arrows in the two bodyguards’ hands slowly began to morph in a way discernible to the naked eye, and finally, under Lin Zifeng’s large grasp, the hand arrows underwent a drastic change. With the bodyguards in shock, Lin Zifeng forcefully snapped off the iron spikes from the hand arrows with a crunch and stabbed them directly into the throats of the two bodyguards...

He then no longer regarded them, instead slowly walking towards Qiao Bu’en.

At that moment, as the masked man began his attack on Qiao Bu’en, some of the more timid lackeys began to think about escaping and hurried to open the door. Little did they know Lin Zifeng suddenly lifted his right leg and kicked the broken corner of a table straight at them.

”Pfft!”

The lackey who had tried to escape had his head crushed by the wooden debris kicked by Lin Zifeng.

The man, like a cannonball, was sent flying instantly and, with immense force, smashed heavily against the wall of the Duel Arena, like a kite with a broken string.

This finally caused the lackeys who had stayed behind and not yet managed to flee to break out into a cold sweat.

”Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!”

Qiao Bu’en, whose neck was being grasped, pleaded hysterically with Lin Zifeng, afraid that his fate would be the same as the lackey’s just before, terrified that his life would also be taken by this murdering demon.

”Give me a reason not to kill you!” Lin Zifeng’s voice was cold and heartless, and his hoarse tone was tinged with indifference. If it were the past, Lin Zifeng would not have thought twice and would have reaped his life immediately, but things were different now.

He needed to know why his brother had become a clown for others to mock, and what exactly had been done to Black Hawk to restore his awareness.

Qiao Bu’en, held aloft, shrank his head like a shrimp, afraid that if Lin Zifeng was displeased, he would be snuffed out in an instant.

”Speak, how did you find him?” Lin Zifeng asked indifferently, pointing at the unconscious Black Hawk.

Facing this mysterious man, Qiao Bu’en was so scared that he seemed to have lost his soul, not even daring to breathe heavily, his eyes wide with fear that his life might be taken by the demon before him at any moment.

He stared at Lin Zifeng’s bloodshot eyes, completely silent, his entire being limp, nowhere near his usual blustering confidence, more like a lamb waiting for slaughter.

Over the years, if it weren’t for his status protecting him, with his bold personality he would have been killed by random knives long ago; he wouldn’t have had the chance to become the miserable figure he was today.
