Chapter 310: Chapter 313 Steadfast Belief

Chapter 313 Steadfast Belief

At that moment, numerous drivers and many emergency responders put down their work and gradually formed a circle around Lin Zifeng and his group. Seeing that Lin Zifeng adamantly refused to give up on saving the young boy, even some of the softer-hearted individuals began to cry.

Next to him, Su Ni, her face pale, was also touched by Lin Zifeng’s spirit of never giving up. She squatted down to hold the boy, allowing Lin Zifeng to keep pinching the boy’s philtrum continuously.

As time passed, more and more people gathered around, clenching their fists and silently cheering Lin Zifeng on.

Even some kind-hearted individuals started to cheer for Lin Zifeng, squeezing their fists and muttering under their breath to boost his spirits.

At that moment, as time gradually wore on, everyone’s breathing began to quicken. Watching the sweat stream down Lin Zifeng’s forehead, the situation was hanging by a thread.

Finally, after relentless attempts, the young boy’s pale, tender face began to show some improvement. Gradually, his small hand started to tremble slightly. Despite Lin Zifeng’s continuous pressing, it seemed as though the boy was stuck at the last hurdle and couldn’t overcome it.

”He’s awake, he’s awake!” Seeing the boy’s faint response, the crowd suddenly erupted like ants on a hot pan.

”There’s a response! The boy isn’t dead! He isn’t dead!”

Hearing the crowd’s cheers, Su Ni’s anxious face began to relax somewhat, but when she looked up at Lin Zifeng, she realized that his icy face showed no sign of relief but had become even more severe.

”What’s wrong? The boy is already awake, why aren’t you showing any emotion?” Seeing that Lin Zifeng hadn’t given up at all, Su Ni felt something was off.

”He’s not fully awake yet. This is when he’s at his weakest, and his life could slip away at any moment,” Lin Zifeng said with a tense voice, undoubtedly dropping a bombshell on everyone!

At that moment! Time seemed to freeze, and as Lin Zifeng frantically worked, the boy’s condition didn’t seem as promising as everyone had hoped. Instead, the tense atmosphere grew even tenser.

Hong Wen, who had not been very optimistic about Lin Zifeng, couldn’t help but feel a bit smug; he was probably the one who least wanted the young boy to be saved.

As the boy’s breath grew weaker, appearing as if he might die at any moment, the people were no longer composed.

”Young man, can this child still be saved? I thought I saw his finger move just now. Please, don’t give up, young man. We all support you. Keep going,” a middle-aged driver said anxiously, clenching his fists and stepping forward to encourage Lin Zifeng.

”Yes, young man, don’t give up. After all, this child is a precious life. You must do your best to save him. He has already lost his parents, and I simply can’t bear to see him lose his life at such a young age, such a pity,” added a woman, dressed glamourously in a tight casual outfit, also cheering Lin Zifeng on the side. Tears had already started to form at the corners of her eyes.

With everyone cheering him on, Lin Zifeng felt the pressure building. Now was not the time for idle chat. Seeing the boy’s vital signs weakening was the last thing Lin Zifeng wanted to see.

”What are you looking for, young man?”

Seeing Lin Zifeng looking around, someone kindly asked, thinking he needed help.

”Please, make way, everyone, make way.” Setting down the young boy, Lin Zifeng’s expression was utterly cold, a stark contrast to how he had been on the bus earlier.

At that moment, his mind was focused solely on how to save the boy, as nothing else mattered to him.

He walked over to a police car.

”Snap!”

After lifting the hood of a police car, Lin Zifeng quickly moved the boy onto the hood of the car. Under the astonished gazes of the onlookers, Lin Zifeng swiftly opened the inside fuse box, then pulled out the cables from under the hood, tying the positive and negative cables together with a metal clamp. He clamped one end to his right wrist and the other to his left wrist, allowing the current from the car cables to course through his body.

”What, what is he doing?”

Everyone began to grow suspicious as they saw Lin Zifeng clamping the electrical cable between his hands, appearing to be ready to do something drastic.

Just when everyone thought Lin Zifeng was out of his mind, he let the current from the cable surge through his body, gently pressing his electrified hands towards the little boy’s heart.

”Thump!”

The muffled sound of the electrical current erupted, and under the crushing force of Lin Zifeng’s electrified palms, the little boy’s tender body shockingly jolted!

”Lin Zifeng, you’ve lost your mind! Release the cable. You’ll die this way!” Witnessing this scene, everyone finally understood.

Turns out, this extremely crazy guy was trying to simulate a defibrillator with his own hands. He allowed the high-voltage current from the car to pass through his body before transferring it into his entire being, and from his palms, he attempted to stimulate the child’s faltering heart, seeking to save the fragile life that could vanish at any moment.

Lin Zifeng ignored her and continued doing what he believed could create a miracle.

”Thump!”

The boy’s body trembled again, but this time the electric shock made Lin Zifeng’s legs tremble. Each surge of positive and negative current continually assaulted Lin Zifeng’s heart muscles.

If this continued, he could be harmed by the current at any time, potentially leading to both of their deaths.

”Let go! Have you gone mad?” Su Ni desperately shouted, attempting several times to rush forward and stop Lin Zifeng’s insane actions, but Hong Wen held her back, letting Lin Zifeng continue with his actions.

At that moment, the hundreds of people present were shocked by Lin Zifeng’s wild actions!

Even those with tender hearts began to cover their mouths and silently weep, quieting the scene suddenly. All eyes turned to Lin Zifeng, many praying silently, hoping that both Lin Zifeng and the little boy would be safe.

”Thump!”

Another shock, the boy’s frail body attracted by the increased current, trembled several times, and Lin Zifeng couldn’t help but tremble too.

He knew that the last shock had slightly scorched his heart muscles. If this went on, he might indeed be electrocuted to death.

But still, Lin Zifeng didn’t give up on his intent to save the boy’s life.

Clenching his teeth, his facial expression somewhat fierce, his sturdy arms bulged with veins, every muscle in his body tensely strung.

”Thump!”

Once!

”Thump!”

Twice!

Three times!

Four times!
