Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 238: Chapter 241: Traffic Police are also Police

Chapter 241: Suburban Police Are Still Police

”You little rascal, don’t think you’re the only one with a mouth. I can shout too, and I don’t believe I can’t take you down this time. You’re still too green to fight with me. Just look at that cowardly face of yours. It’s clear you’re no big deal.”

Su Ni had always been suppressing the anger in her heart, she even rehearsed her lines in advance. If Lin Zifeng dared to act like a rogue and shout like last time, she wasn’t a pushover either. Don’t think you’re the only one who can shout, I have a mouth too.

But no sooner had Su Ni finished speaking than she realized she had misspoken because the guy in front of her, who was nonchalant, was looking at her as if she were an alien; from his narrowed eyes, Su Ni could even sense a hint of pity.

Lin Zifeng felt secretly anxious inside.

”My goodness, she’s really bold saying that? I really wonder how she ever got into the police academy. Could it be that the oath she swore back then was all reckless and against her conscience, blindly blurted out?”

”Hey, hey, hey! Bunny, what are you looking at?”

For such an old rogue, you have to be ruthless. Definitely don’t engage him in a war of words, otherwise he’ll think I, Su Ni, am easy to bully.

Even if I don’t charge him with a scare tactic today, I will get him on resisting arrest. Just thinking about his submissive attitude later makes me feel thrilled and vigorous.

Don’t think barbaric women have low intelligence, wrong! That’s a big mistake!

Barbaric women are actually the smartest. They know that when words don’t work, they resort to violence, and using violence, if feasible, is definitely a good strategy.

Who says a violent female cop beating someone would face legal punishment?

In this world, beauties are always the ones who argue with reason. Because they know that achieving goals through appearance is the best solution.

”You, don’t mess around, okay? I know you can scream, but this is a residential area. If you dare lay a hand on me today, think about the consequences, they could be serious.”

Lin Zifeng looked nervously at Su Ni’s fierce demeanor.

Fearing that this woman’s fiery temper might flare up and she genuinely hit him. If that got out, he would really be embarrassed big time.

”You should realize that you’re just a Suburban Police officer. You seem to have no authority to arrest, right? This isn’t within your jurisdiction, a fact you should be clearer about than I am.”

”Suburban Police? What about them? Suburban Police are still police. Moreover, according to Huaxia’s Citizens Law, citizens have the right to stop any illegal acts that are about to happen, or have already happened. Especially since you intimidated a minor, just that charge alone is enough for you, do you still want to argue? Even if I weren’t wearing this Suburban Police uniform, I could still arrest you.” Su Ni began to feel smug; her rosy cheeks flushed with excitement, chatting with Lin Zifeng, she completely forgot what she was there for in the first place.

Ha! What a joke. When did I ever do such things? Am I not aware of myself? Intimidation? What kind of international joke is this? Looks like it’s you, Grandma, who’s intimidating me.

Even if you want to stab me in the back, don’t start with such childish jokes; you might enjoy it, but I can’t afford the pain.

”Give it a rest! Stop trying to fool me. You think you’re the only one who understands the law? I’ve dreamed of being a detective since I was a kid. While you were still in your split pants, I had already memorized all there is to know about Huaxia’s laws. Don’t think I’m just legally blind. Brother, I too am a law-abiding good citizen,” Lin Zifeng began to show off, acting like he was the smartest guy around. Little did he know that Su Ni couldn’t stand his attitude of a dead pig not fearing boiling water.

Lin Zifeng slowly took a cigarette out of his pocket with his right hand and, unexpectedly, lit it in front of Su Ni’s fierce eyes, slowly blowing rings of smoke, and bitterly said, ”Intimidation, do you know what intimidation is? Do you believe what those three kids just said? Didn’t you see they were the ones pestering me all the time? If I wanted to intimidate them, would I need to do it in such a crowded place?”

What Lin Zifeng said wasn’t entirely without reason.

But now, even if Su Ni was in the wrong, she was intent on catching Lin Zifeng, not for anything else, but to vent her frustration.

It was quite possible that a brief investigation at the station might reveal that this guy truly was a criminal left over from some past time, and then she might just restore her position without realizing it.

”Do you have any evidence that you weren’t intimidating them?” Su Ni said coldly.

”And what evidence do you have that I was intimidating them?”

Lin Zifeng laughed.

”Just now they were still...” Su Ni turned to look back, only to find that the three girls had already fled, suddenly lost for words, making this confused situation even harder to resolve.

”Heh, Officer Su, if you really have any grievances against me, Lin Zifeng, I can leave my phone number and QQ, and you can ask me to meet any time. But if Officer Su wants to play me to death, I’m sorry, I can only apologize. Although I, Lin Zifeng, am not exactly a saint, I am also a law-abiding good citizen. Don’t slap a group of flies dead with one swat, it’s not good. You might lose out,” he said.

At that moment, Lin Zifeng seemed like an old man who had experienced the vicissitudes of life, carefully explaining things to Su Ni.

But the more Su Ni listened, the more a sour taste developed, making her increasingly uncomfortable; she knew she had messed up again today. She clenched her fists, trying her best to hold back her fiery temper from erupting.

If it had been her old self, perhaps her swift right leg would have lashed out already, not necessarily ending Lin Zifeng’s lineage but at least making it so he couldn’t get out of bed for half a month, much less partake in such noble acts of performative art.

”Are you threatening me?”

Su Ni suddenly turned her head, a flash of contempt in her eyes.

She hated it most when people used reality to oppress her, especially men.

”Oh dear, why are you so straightforward? I’m not threatening you; I’m speaking well for you. How can you not hear it?”

Lin Zifeng frowned, explained with a smirk, then took out the breakfast he had just bought from behind the Lamborghini: a portion of fried dough sticks, two servings of dumplings, two servings of soy milk, and some miscellaneous breakfast items, eagerly handing them to Su Ni, ingratiatingly said, ”Actually, there might be many misunderstandings between us. If so, today I, Lin Zifeng, am apologizing to you, hoping you, as a generous boss, will forget this. When we meet in the future, even if not as friends, a simple smile as strangers would suffice. Please don’t always be on my case. Women, after all, will eventually need to marry and should not be running around outside all the time, right?” Lin Zifeng kindly clarified, and he had indeed humbly apologized to her.
