After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 797: Chapter 801: The Long-Lost Son

”Wanwan, come quick, Daddy is calling!”

By her side, Huangfu Ruo turned on the screen on the wall, and soon, Qin Lan’s image appeared on the screen.

”Princess Wanwan, happy birthday!”

Qin Lan, who was abroad for filming and couldn’t return home due to his schedule, chose to video call to send birthday wishes to his daughter.

Because they were away on assignments, Leng Zirui and Huangfu Ao could not make it either and had sent their gifts by express delivery instead; each also sent double presents, one for Qin Wanwan and one for Luo Jun.

”Thank you, Daddy.” Qin Wanwan immediately took the receiver, ”When are you coming back?”

”In two more days, my movie will wrap up, and I can come home. Daddy has prepared a very special gift for you.”

”Daddy is awesome...”

...

Turning his small face, Luo Jun watched Qin Wanwan chatting with their father through video call, a natural expression of envy appearing on his face.

He had grown so big, but he had never seen his father, not to mention received a gift from him.

Seeing Qin Lan and Qin Wanwan say goodbye with a kiss, a look of loss finally showed on his little face, impossible to hide.

Noticing his expression, Leng Zimo’s usually cold heart unconsciously softened, and he felt an inexplicable ache for this little guy.

”Mo Mo.” He steadied the little guy’s shoulders, turning him to face himself, and tenderly cupped his small face, ”I think your dad must have his own reasons for not being able to be with you. How about Uncle gives you a birthday kiss on behalf of your dad, okay?”

Luo Jun looked up at the man in front of him, his face full of tenderness, and nodded lightly.

Leng Zimo then leaned in and gently kissed his forehead, before picking up the little guy and holding his small body tightly in his arms.

Feeling his warm embrace, Luo Jun subconsciously stretched out his small arms to hug his neck, hugging him back.

Looking at the two males, one big and one small, Huangfu Ruo just chuckled from the side, ”Brother Zimo, since you don’t have a son, why not talk it over with his mother and take him as your godson?”

”I think it’s a good idea, they really do look like father and son,” Shen Yizhou said with a laugh.

Tong Ya took a closer look at the two, ”You know, it really is true. Everyone, take a look, they really do resemble each other.”

Everyone shifted their gaze to look at Leng Zimo, then at Luo Jun, all nodding in agreement.

Leng Zimo looked at the little Luo Jun in his arms, ”Do we really look that much alike?”

”Someone who doesn’t know better would definitely think you two are father and son,” one of the parents said, laughing.

”Mr. Leng, isn’t this little fellow your long-lost son?” another parent joked.

The speaker meant no harm, but the listener took it to heart.

Upon hearing this, a shade of melancholy flashed in the eyes of Huangfu Ruo, Shen Yizhou, and Tong Ya.

Five years have passed, and Wanwan is already four years old. If Luo Xiaoqian hadn’t left, would their child also be the same age as this kid?!

”MOMO.” John came over after finishing a phone call, ”It’s getting late, we should head back.”

Luo Jun agreed and stepped out of Leng Zimo’s embrace. Huangfu Ruo then gathered up his presents and handed them to John, while Luo Jun held onto the photo. Leng Zimo took the cake that was in the box.

Together, they went downstairs and out to the car to send the little guy off. Leng Zimo handed the cake to Luo Jun, and didn’t forget to slip his business card into Luo Jun’s pocket, ”Tell your mom when you get home, if you have a headache or feel dizzy, she should call me.”
