After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 766: Chapter 770: From Princess to Queen! [9]

”Luo Jun!” Luo Xiaoqian called him sternly by his full name, ”You’re almost four years old, a little man now; you should be sleeping by yourself.”

This little guy was good in every way, much more sensible than children his age, but when it came to sleeping separately, despite her many attempts, it was still very difficult.

As long as she was with him, this little guy would always find every possible way to sleep together with her.

Luo Jun wrapped his arms and legs around her, burying his small head into her neck.

His eyes were closed, not moving at all.

”Mo Mo?”

”...”

”Luo Jun!”

”...”

Luo Xiaoqian looked down at his tightly closed eyes and firmly grasped hands, feeling a mixture of amusement and helplessness.

”I know you’re not asleep; a man wouldn’t resort to these childish tactics.”

Looking at his adorable figure, Luo Xiaoqian bit her lip, trying hard to suppress the overwhelming maternal love in her heart, and she spoke sternly, ”If you keep doing this, I’ll really get angry!”

Stern father, tender mother.

If Zimo were here, she would only need to be a gentle mother, but now that Zimo was not, to prevent him from developing a habit of dependence and not being independent, she had to take on the responsibilities of a strict father as well.

”Mommy, I’m sorry.”

Luo Jun opened his eyes, no longer pretending to sleep.

Luo Xiaoqian cradled his little face, her gaze tender yet encouraging, ”Mommy knows you’re a very sensible and independent child. You insist on sleeping with mommy for a reason, right? Tell mommy, and I’ll help you overcome it, are you afraid of the dark?!”

Luo Jun’s little face became serious, ”I’m not afraid of the dark at all!”

”Then why is it?” Luo Xiaoqian asked, puzzled. ”Mo Mo, be honest with mommy, why do you insist on sleeping with mommy?”

This little fellow was stubborn and never a timid child; he did things like learning to eat by himself quite well, so why couldn’t he manage to sleep alone?

”I’m really not scared of sleeping by myself.” Luo Jun blinked his large eyes, ”I just think, if... if mommy has a nightmare, I can wake you up.”

Looking at the sincere and innocent expression in the large eyes of this little person before her, Luo Xiaoqian’s chest tightened, and she hugged the little guy tightly into her arms, struggling not to let the tears fall.

”Good son, I’m sorry, mommy misunderstood you. From now on, I won’t make you sleep alone again.”

However, the little guy was not at all appreciative, ”That won’t do. I want to be a man. I’ll stay with you until Big Fool returns. Once he’s back, I’ll sleep by myself.”

Little Thing couldn’t understand too many complex emotions yet; he just felt that as a little man, with daddy not there, it was his job to protect mommy. When his dad returned, the task of protecting mommy would fall to him.

”Shall we go to sleep now, okay?”

”Okay!”

The little fellow immediately let go of her, lifted the blanket, and crawled underneath it.

Once Luo Xiaoqian lay down, he burrowed into her arms, and patted his little chest with his hand, ”Mommy, don’t be scared. With Mo Mo here, if you have a nightmare, I will wake you up!”

Holding the little guy tightly in her arms, Luo Xiaoqian’s tears finally began to flow uncontrollably, ”Okay, mommy’s not afraid!”

Mother and son embraced and fell asleep; Luo Jun soon fell asleep in her arms...
