After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 788: Chapter 792: I Stay Home to Keep Mom Company

”Mo Mo.” Luo Xiaoqian let her hand holding the note droop as she looked squarely at Luo Jun, ”Tell Mommy, what is the name of the little friend who was born on the same day as you?”

”Sara.”

”I mean her Chinese name.”

”Chinese, oh, Chinese is Qin Wanwan, the ’Wan’ as in night, not the bowl you eat rice with.” Luo Jun laughed, ”The first time I heard her name, I thought it was the kind of bowl you use to eat.”

Qin Wanwan?!

Luo Xiaoqian glanced at the name Huangfu Ruo on the note and just furrowed her brows.

She had never imagined that Qin Lan and Huangfu Ruo’s daughter, Qin Wanwan, would be in the same class as Luo Jun, let alone that the little girl who shared the same year, month, and birthday with Luo Jun would turn out to be Qin Wanwan.

”Mommy, what’s wrong?”

Seeing that Luo Xiaoqian’s expression was a bit off, Luo Jun asked with confusion.

”It’s nothing.” Luo Xiaoqian steadied his arm, ”Mo Mo, can we not go to Wanwan’s house for the birthday party tonight?”

”Why?” Little Luojun asked, puzzled, ”And, I’ve already promised Wanwan, haven’t you said that a man should keep his word?”

A look of clear disappointment was evident on his little face.

”How about this instead?” Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t bear it, ”Can Uncle Mike go with you, would that be okay?”

”Didn’t Mommy rush back just to celebrate my birthday?”

Luo Xiaoqian felt somewhat helpless. In fact, she had hurried back today just to celebrate Luo Jun’s birthday with him. However, she had not expected the little girl to be Qin Lan and Huangfu Ruo’s daughter, and now, at this moment, how could she face them?

”Mommy is really sorry.” Luo Xiaoqian gently cradled her son’s little face, helplessly concocting a little lie, ”Because Mommy isn’t feeling well. Going to someone else’s party like this would be very impolite. But you can go and have a great time, and after you’ve had enough fun, let Uncle John bring you back, okay?”

After thinking it over, Luo Jun gently shook his head, ”Then I won’t go either. I’ll stay home with Mommy.”

Going to the party alone with his Mommy unwell at home didn’t feel right to him.

Knowing her son’s thoughts best, Luo Xiaoqian naturally understood him.

Picking up the little guy and placing him on her lap, Luo Xiaoqian consoled him gently, ”Mommy just needs to sleep for a while at home and then I’ll be fine. You don’t have to worry too much. Plus, I’ve prepared the gift for Wanwan, so if you don’t go, wouldn’t it go to waste?”

”But...” The little one still couldn’t bear to leave his ”sick” Mommy behind.

”Mommy loves cake the most. When you come back, remember to bring me a big piece of cake. That way, when I wake up, I can eat your birthday cake, and just thinking about it makes me happy.”

”Really?”

”Of course it’s true. Don’t get so caught up in having fun that you forget to bring me a cake, okay?”

”Okay, I promise, I won’t forget.” Luo Jun smiled and guaranteed.

Luo Xiaoqian set him down from her lap, ”Then you should go upstairs and take a bath now.”

”I don’t need help from Mommy, I can do it myself.” Luo Jun slid down from her lap, a face of childish pride, ”Don’t believe me? Ask Uncle John.”

With that, he asked John in English for confirmation, ”Uncle John, you be my witness, I can take a bath by myself.”

Luo Xiaoqian turned to look at John, who nodded solemnly, confirming that Little Luojun wasn’t lying.
