After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 791: Chapter 795: The Struggle for the Castle

”Thank you.” Qin Wanwan smiled and took it, her gaze immediately falling on John, ”Is he your dad?”

”He’s Uncle John.” Luo Jun introduced, before continuing, ”Aunt Huangfu, mom asked me to apologize to you, she’s not feeling well and can’t come tonight.”

”Is it serious?” Huangfu Ruo asked with concern.

”Mom said she’ll be better after a sleep.” Luo Jun replied.

”That’s good then.” Huangfu Ruo finally felt relieved, took the two little ones by the hand, one on each side, and brought them to the living room, ”You two play with everyone for now, and once all the guests arrive, we’ll cut the cake. Wanwan, as the little host, you need to take good care of Mo Mo, okay?”

”I know.” Qin Wanwan immediately pulled Luo Jun to the table to play with everyone else.

Huangfu Ruo smiled at John and said in English, ”The adults are chatting upstairs, why don’t you go up and take a seat?”

”No need, thank you, I’m fine staying here with the little host.” John politely declined.

He was a retired Military man who had been hired by Luo Xiaoqian and had not married. John had watched Luo Jun grow up since he was little and felt a special affection for this little master, always being very diligent and responsible.

”Alright then, make yourself comfortable.” Huangfu Ruo didn’t insist and immediately instructed a maid to bring him a drink before she went to help in the kitchen.

Qin Lan was still filming in Europe and couldn’t make it back tonight, so the entire banquet was on her to oversee, naturally keeping her very busy.

At the game table, Qin Wanwan’s block construction once again declared defeat.

Looking at the castle that had toppled before her, the little girl simply furrowed her brows.

”I hate it, it fell over again.”

”Can I help you?” Luo Jun offered his assistance actively.

”Yes, please! I want you to build me a princess’s palace. Can you do that, Mo Mo?”

”Of course.”

As Luo Jun agreed, he began to collect the blocks he needed and started to build from the ground up. Every step and every block placed was neat and tidy. Soon, a castle took shape under his hands.

”Mo Mo, you’re amazing. Can you give me this castle after you’ve finished building it?” Qin Wanwan asked excitedly.

”Sure.” Luo Jun replied as he picked up a conical block to complete the last part.

Another little girl nearby said enviously, ”Mo Mo, I want one too.”

”Mo Mo, I want one too!”

...

A few little girls all came over with looks of admiration, gathering around Luo Jun.

Across the table, Xia Shang, who was older than the other children, frowned unhappily, picked up a block, and threw it across the table, hitting right on Luo Jun’s nearly completed construction.

Thud!

A soft sound, and the newly completed block castle instantly collapsed into a pile.

”My castle!”

Qin Wanwan had been excitedly waiting for the castle to be completed, but as she saw the blocks fall into a pile, her lips quivered, and her eyes started to redden.

”Xia Shang!” Luo Jun raised his brows and looked at the boy across the table, his face already showing anger, ”Why did you destroy my castle?”

Xia Shang, seeing Qin Wanwan’s tearful face, also felt somewhat guilty, ”I... I didn’t do it on purpose.”

”You’re lying, you did it on purpose.” Luo Jun wouldn’t let it go easily, ”Apologize to Wanwan.”

Xia Shang pouted, ”I didn’t do anything wrong, why should I apologize.”

”Everyone saw, it was you who purposely destroyed the castle I was giving to Wanwan, you must apologize.” Luo Jun was still insistent.
