After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 761: Chapter 765 From Princess to Queen!【4】

The African-American bodyguard kept a very close distance behind him but did not offer any help.

That was Luo Xiaoqian’s request, Luo Jun’s tasks needed to be completed by himself.

Noticing a beautiful red starfish on the beach, Luo Jun’s eyes brightened, and he hurriedly took a few steps to pick up the starfish from the sand, carefully blowing off the sand on it, he then held it up to the sunlight, and the little guy nodded his head in satisfaction.

”Very good, you’ll be the gift I give to Mina.”

Then, he threw the other two starfish he was holding back into the ocean.

Like his father, he was never a greedy person, having the best one was already enough.

Turning around to look at his mother who was still on the phone in the distance, he caught sight of an excavator knocking down a wall not far off by the coast out of the corner of his eye, and the little guy’s eyebrows furrowed.

”Not good!”

He muttered under his breath, and without longer delay, the little guy stuffed the starfish into his pocket and started sprinting toward the shore.

”MOMO!” the African-American bodyguard called out in confusion as he followed, ”Where are you going?”

”They’re going to tear down Grandma’s house, I have to stop those guys,” the little guy replied in English, picking up his pace and running towards the direction of the excavator.

...

...

By the coast, not far from the demolition site.

A black Mercedes slowly came to a halt, and the engineer wearing a safety helmet, directing the demolition work, immediately put down what he was doing and jogged over to the car, opening the rear door.

A foot clad in high heels stepped out of the door, followed by slender legs, and a form-fitting pale-colored spring outfit; the woman alighting from the car was tall and shapely, with delicate features and loose hair cascading over her shoulders, she exuded efficiency and elegance.

Surprised by the appearance of the beautiful woman, Engineer Wang asked, ”Who might you be?”

”You must be Engineer Wang?” the woman asked, lifting the corners of her lips, ”I am Seo Fei, President Leng’s new assistant. President Leng is tied up with some matters these days, I’ve come to inspect the site on his behalf.”

”I see, Miss Seo, hello, hello!” Engineer Wang immediately reached out with a smile.

After they shook hands, Seo Fei’s gaze shifted towards the dusty construction site in the distance, ”You’re just now starting to demolish it?”

”Yes, that’s right, the original development plan was to keep this area as it is, at the request of President Leng. Now, with all the nearby facilities caught up, the local house prices have doubled. Our idea is to hope that President Leng could revise the development plan,” Engineer Wang unfolded a map in his hands, ”Miss Seo, look, this is Villa Area One, this is Area Two, and here,” he pointed to the area they were overlooking, ”is the best location in the entire plot. If we build villas here, they will definitely sell well!”

Seo Fei glanced at the map, ”Why did President Leng want to keep this area in the first place?”

”That...” Engineer Wang shrugged his shoulders, ”You might have to ask President Leng about that.”

”Engineer Wang!” While they were speaking, a worker hurried over, ”There’s trouble, someone’s obstructing the demolition.”

”What?” Engineer Wang turned, puzzled, ”That’s nonsense, nobody lives here, how could someone obstruct the demolition?”

”It’s true. If you don’t believe me, just go and see for yourself,” the worker pointed towards the distance, ”It’s over there.”

”Miss Seo, please wait here for a moment, I’ll go check it out,” Engineer Wang gave Seo Fei a smile and turned to run towards the site, following the worker.
