After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 760: Chapter 764: From Princess to Queen! [3]

Luo Xiaoqian gently patted his little head, ”Because we don’t have the keys.”

”If it’s Grandma’s house, why don’t we have the keys?” Luo Jun’s large eyes looked over, puzzled.

His eyes were very similar to Leng Zimo’s, and so was his personality. At such a young age, he already showed a hint of wisdom.

”Because this house has already been sold to someone else,” Luo Xiaoqian patiently explained.

”Then why doesn’t Mom buy it back?” Luo Jun pressed on.

Luo Xiaoqian crouched down, holding his tiny shoulders, ”Mom promises you that she will definitely get the house back, okay?”

He was still too young; she couldn’t explain the complexities to him, and naturally, she couldn’t tell him who owned the house now. She could only use such an excuse to temporarily placate him.

The little guy glanced at the old house in front of him, ”If Mom doesn’t have enough money, I can contribute my competition prize money.”

Knowing he was referring to the prize money he had won in a piano competition, Luo Xiaoqian smiled with relief, ”No need, Mom has enough money on her own. Aren’t you going to pick starfish for Mina? If we don’t leave now, the starfish will be washed away by the sea!”

Being a child at heart, remembering his promise, Luo Jun immediately straightened his little face, ”Then let’s hurry, I promised Mina. A man should keep his word.”

”Good,” Luo Xiaoqian smiled as she stood up, holding his little hand, crossing the street, and walking towards the nearby beach.

As dusk approached, the sea undulated under the setting sun, shimmering with a orange hue.

”Starfish, here I come...”

Luo Jun immediately displayed a child’s nature, releasing Luo Xiaoqian’s hand and running towards the beach.

He stumbled, wobbling, and fell onto the sand, but he didn’t cry or fuss, quickly climbing up and continuing to run forward.

”Be careful!”

Luo Xiaoqian followed behind him, not rushing to comfort him after his fall. Seeing him get up and continue running, her lips curled into a smile of comfort.

Since his birth, she had been working hard to nurture his strength, hoping he could be like his father, becoming a responsible man.

To ensure he wouldn’t lack a male role model as he grew up, she deliberately chose men for roles such as assistants and bodyguards. She didn’t want him to develop a feminine character because he grew up only with her.

”Miss Luo, your phone.” The assistant hurried over, handing her the phone, ”It’s Selena, there’s a small issue with the movie score.”

”Hello, this is Sissi!”

Luo Xiaoqian furrowed her brows; with the deadline just two days away, being told there was a problem now certainly wouldn’t please her.

One of the two bodyguards stayed by her side, while the other jogged after Luo Jun, carefully protecting him.

”No, that’s not what I mean...” Speaking in English with a subordinate, Luo Xiaoqian glanced sideways at Luo Jun running into the distance. Seeing a bodyguard following him, she was reassured enough to look away, ”This time, I only have one requirement for the score: no electronic sounds. Everything must be authentic. Yes, all the instruments have to be natural... Don’t talk to me about what sounds good. The most natural instruments create the most natural music... Yes, that’s right, good...”

Luo Jun continued searching along the beach. Although he had already found two starfish, he wasn’t satisfied. Like his father, he had stringent aesthetic standards. He wouldn’t stop until he found the starfish that matched his own desires.
