After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 756: Chapter 760 This is the Happiness I Wanted!【9】

”Yeah, I met a guru this time in Singapore, that hypnotist, incredibly skilled. After he hypnotized me, I saw my own past life...”

”All smoke and mirrors.”

”What do you mean ’smoke and mirrors’? He’s a senior NLP instructor certified by the American SNLP Association, who has devoted himself to the psychological research of human memory. I’ve seen his show, and after he’s done hypnotizing someone, that person can’t even remember their own name. He’s able to shift fragments of their memory, causing temporary amnesia...” Seeing Luo Xiaoqian’s apparent interest, Xu Xia smiled, ”He just happens to be in Beijing for an academic exchange these few days. If you want to see for yourself, I can call him right now.”

Luo Xiaoqian bit her lip, ”Okay!”

To Xu Xia’s surprise, she responded earnestly, ”You’re serious? This kind of hypnosis has to be voluntary, you can’t just bring Jiao Yang over to be hypnotized, can you?”

Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t be bothered to explain, ”Are you going to call or not?”

”I will!” Xu Xia pouted and picked up her phone.

An hour later, the two of them had arrived at the Beijing office of Yin Yi, the hypnotist Xu Xia had mentioned.

After Xu Xia introduced them, Luo Xiaoqian spoke up, feeling somewhat embarrassed, ”Xu Xia, I’m suddenly feeling a bit hungry, could you go get me something to eat?”

”You’re the expectant mother, you’re the boss, no problem!” Xu Xia had no idea she was just being sent away, and immediately stood up to go downstairs.

”Miss Luo, do you need my help with something?” Yin Yi sat behind the desk, smiling enigmatically.

Luo Xiaoqian moistened her lips, ”I want to erase someone from my memory, can you do that?”

”In theory, yes, but you must understand that the human brain isn’t a computer where you can just selectively delete at will. I can only hide those memories. Perhaps due to some trigger, you might still find them in the depths of your consciousness.” Yin Yi smiled warmly, ”Miss Luo, if there is a past you don’t want to face, I can try to help you adjust. Trying to delete memories is not something I would advise.”

”So, what you mean is, if I’m exposed to certain familiar stimuli, I might still remember those people or events, right?” Luo Xiaoqian probed further.

”Exactly, that is what I mean,” Yin Yi confirmed.

Luo Xiaoqian bit her lip again, ”I want you to help me hypnotize someone.”

”That...” Yin Yi gently shook his head, ”I’m afraid I can’t help you with that because people must sign a document before I can hypnotize them. To be clear, carrying out hypnosis without the other person’s consent is illegal.”

Luo Xiaoqian stood up, bending deeply towards him, ”Please!”

...

...

The black Mercedes glided slowly into the parking lot and came to a smooth halt.

”Xiao Qian, are you really set on undergoing hypnosis?” Leng Zimo asked once again.

”I’m so tired of having nightmares every day; I don’t want those dark experiences to remain in my memory. I want to delete those unwanted memories.” Luo Xiaoqian unbuckled her seatbelt, ”That way, I won’t have to struggle with nightmares in the future.”

”But...” Leng Zimo frowned, ”Is this hypnotist safe?”

”Don’t worry, he’s a recognized senior hypnotist and a national treasure-level psychologist.” Luo Xiaoqian got out of the car, took his arm, ”Let’s go, at most, the hypnosis won’t work.”

She had been sleeping terribly these past few days, often waking up crying even in his arms. Naturally, Leng Zimo didn’t want her to suffer like that. If this hypnotist could truly help her, it would indeed be a welcome result.
