After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 795: Chapter 799: Save a Piece of Cake for Mom

Leng Zimo agreed with a nod, and lifted Luo Jun up from the ground with a slight effort. Seeing John coming over, he immediately explained in English, ”We’re going to take him upstairs to check.”

Although John did not understand Chinese, he could see there was no malice, and immediately went upstairs with Huangfu Ruo and Shen Yizhou.

Huangfu Ruo turned on the lights first, and Leng Zimo sat down on the sofa with little Luojun while John had already come over with a worried face.

Shen Yizhou carefully parted Luo Jun’s hair and saw a clear swelling on the back of his head, ”There’s a bit of swelling, but no bleeding.”

After fixing his hair, Shen Yizhou gently said, ”Try shaking your head.”

Little Luojun obediently shook his head.

”Feeling dizzy?” Shen Yizhou asked.

Luo Jun shook his head, ”No.”

Leng Zimo frowned slightly, ”Should we take him to the hospital for a checkup?”

”There’s no need to be so nervous, it’s okay.” Turning to the African American bodyguard, Shen Yizhou spoke in English, ”I’m a doctor. Don’t worry, he’s fine.”

John nodded.

The door was knocked, and the maid entered, ”Madam, dinner is all prepared.”

”Got it.” Huangfu Ruo turned with a smile, ”Mo Mo, if you’re feeling okay, shall we go blow out the candles and have the cake now?”

”Yes!” Luo Jun immediately agreed with a smile.

Leng Zimo stood up and took his little hand, ”If you feel uncomfortable at any point, you must tell uncle right away, okay?”

Luo Jun nodded at him with a smile.

The group then left the study and went to the dining room on the second floor.

Since a lot of people were there, Huangfu Ruo had prepared a Western-style buffet. Various fruits and pastries were already set on the long dining table. At the end of the table sat a three-tiered cake with four candles atop it, and the other children and parents had already gathered around. Huangfu Ruo waved her hand and the maid lit the candles on the cake.

”Mo Mo, come on, let’s blow out the candles together.”

Qin Wanwan immediately called Luo Jun over, and the two little ones stood next to the cake while Huangfu Ruo spoke with a smile.

”Today is not only Wanwan’s birthday, but also Mo Mo’s birthday. Let’s sing the birthday song for them, shall we?”

”Yes!” A few children answered eagerly.

When everyone heard it was both children’s birthday on the same day, they got excited, and everyone sang the birthday song together.

”Now, it’s time to make a wish!”

”I wish for Mommy to be forever young and beautiful,” Qin Wanwan said right away.

”Thank you.” Huangfu Ruo smiled and kissed her, then looked at Luo Jun, ”How about you?”

”Mom said if I say my wish out loud, it won’t come true. I’ll make it in my heart.”

Luo Jun held his two little hands together, closed his eyes, and made a wish with all his sincerity.

Watching the little guy so serious, all the adults started smiling.

After a moment, he opened his eyes, ”Done, I’ve made my wish.”

The cake was so tall, the two little ones naturally couldn’t blow out the candles.

”Time to blow out the candles!”

Huangfu Ruo bent down to lift Qin Wanwan while Leng Zimo lifted little Luojun, and both little ones puffed up their cheeks and blew hard, extinguishing all four candles.

Everyone clapped together, and the lights brightened.

Leng Zimo got a knife to cut the cake, and Luo Jun gently tugged at his clothes, ”Uncle, can you save a piece of cake for my mom? She’s sick at home and couldn’t come.”

”Of course,” Leng Zimo smiled and nodded, ”I’ll cut the biggest piece for her, shall I?”

”Yes!” The little guy immediately beamed with joy and nodded emphatically.
