After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 695: Chapter 699: The Wedding of the Century [6]

”That’s right!”

”You think you two can outdrink me with fruit juice?”

”I just don’t believe it, our fruit juice against yours? We’ll see about that!”

The three women giggled and went up the stairs.

In both ancient castles, there was laughter and cheerful voices.

...

...

Masaitimone Hospital.

The ambulance siren blared urgently as it stopped at the entrance; the doors flew open, and several medical staff immediately rushed a victim, whose head and face were scorched black, off the ambulance and hurriedly pushed them into the resuscitation room for emergency treatment.

The local police officers followed.

”What happened?” The duty surgeon approached them while asking for details.

”Car accident, fire, severe burns; the patient is in a critical condition!” one of the doctors replied as they hurried along with the victim.

The two doctors quickly conferred on the emergency measures and sent the patient straight into the intensive care unit.

The police officers had also followed closely behind, and after a while, the doctor came out of the resuscitation room.

The officers immediately stood up, and one of them asked, ”Doctor, how is she?”

”She’s still in a critical period, try to inform her family as soon as possible,” the doctor said in a grave tone, ”We’re doing our best to save her life, but the situation doesn’t look too optimistic.”

The middle-aged officer frowned slightly, ”We’re also trying to find a way. The vehicle was badly burnt, and we haven’t found any identification to prove her identity. In any case, please do your best to save her life.”

The doctor nodded, ”We will do our best.”

The doctor went back into the intensive care unit, and the police officers walked to the window, looking through the glass at the patient in the ward.

Now, her head, face, and shoulders were all tightly wrapped in gauze, leaving only her eyes exposed, tightly shut.

”Before the accident, I saw her profile. She was a very beautiful Asian woman...” The traffic officer, who had tried to stop her vehicle, shook his head gently, ”I really don’t understand why she would do something so crazy.”

Such severe injuries, and since the front of the car was on fire, the most severe damage to the victim was to her head and face.

For a young woman, even if she could escape the brink of death, it would definitely spell disaster. Never mind the physical torment following the burns, the psychological trauma from the damage to her appearance was perhaps irreparable.

The other officer sighed, ”Now, we can only hurry to find her family.”

The young traffic officer thought for a moment, ”Right, I remember the license plate; maybe that’s a clue.”

”Good, I’ll get on it right away,” the middle-aged officer said as he quickly took out his walkie-talkie.

In the ward.

The monitor emitted a soft beep after beep, blood pressure and heartbeat both far below normal. At this moment, even the doctors could not guarantee whether this patient would see Tomorrow’s sun.

The ward was filled with a distinct charred smell, and through the gaps in the bandages, one could vaguely see the blackened, charred flesh.

The young nurse’s gaze swept over the victim’s less injured left palm, where the delicate skin was visible, and her beautiful blue eyes were full of sympathy.

”Such good skin, burnt like this, it’s really so pitiful!”

”Yes!” another nurse looked over at the victim’s eyes, ”I can’t imagine, if she really wakes up and sees herself now, whether she can bear it.”

The two exchanged a glance and sighed simultaneously.
