After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 691: Chapter 695: The Wedding of the Century [2]

”I’m a bit hungry, can we talk about this after we eat?” Huangfu Ruo lowered her gaze, asking softly.

She was afraid, so afraid that she didn’t dare to listen.

”Just bear with it for a little while longer, we’ll eat after I’ve said what I need to, all right?” Qin Lan took a deep breath, ”These words are really important, they concern the happiness of the rest of our lives together.”

This was the first time, if it had been before, once she said she was hungry, he would have immediately found something for her to eat to fill her up, but this time, he asked her to wait.

The happiness of the rest of our lives?!

Could it be that she had guessed correctly?

He... really didn’t love her anymore!

Huangfu Ruo kept her eyes down, struggling to control her emotions, ”Alright, you speak.”

She didn’t dare to meet his gaze, fearing that in those eyes that always looked at her with love, she would find unfamiliar indifference.

Qin Lan reached out, took her hand in his, her hand was slightly cold, and he subconsciously clasped her hand tightly in his warm palm, ”Tomorrow’s wedding, I was thinking...”

Could it be that he really was about to call off the wedding?!

In her heart, a tearing pain spread instantly.

No, she didn’t want to hear him say that he was canceling the wedding, she didn’t want to.

”Wait a minute!”

Huangfu Ruo suddenly withdrew her hand from his and sat up in a panic, about to jump out of bed.

”Ruoruo?” Qin Lan saw her getting up and supported her arm anxiously, ”What’s wrong, do you feel like throwing up? I’ll help you to the bathroom.”

”Don’t.”

She pushed him away forcefully, put on her slippers in a fluster, rushed into the bathroom, and closed and locked the door behind her.

That way, he couldn’t come in, that way, he couldn’t tell her he was calling off the wedding, that way, he couldn’t tell her he didn’t love her anymore...

”Ruoruo.” Qin Lan, unaware of the complex emotions in her heart, knocked on the door anxiously, ”Open the door, I’m really worried about you...”

”You’re lying, you’re deceiving me, you don’t really worry about me anymore.”

Huangfu Ruo leaned against the door, growling.

Her voice was evidently tinged with tears.

”Ruoruo, you’re misunderstanding, how could I not be worried about you...” Qin Lan’s voice was laced with concern as he furrowed his brows, ”Don’t cry, please, open the door, I’m begging you, don’t cry, okay? You’re pregnant now, being upset could affect the baby’s mood...”

”I knew it, you only care about the baby, not me at all!” Huangfu Ruo cried even harder.

”Ruoruo...” Qin Lan’s tone was tinged with helplessness; he just wanted to comfort her, but ended up causing another misunderstanding. Remembering what Luo Xiaoqian had told him, Qin Lan pursed his lips and raised his voice, ”The reason I made that call without telling you was to give you a surprise, I’ve been contacting many Hollywood stars, just like you’ve always talked about, tomorrow, they will all be attending our wedding.”

It was intended to be a surprise, but now he had to give up on that idea.

Inside the room, Huangfu Ruo listened to his voice, half-doubting.

Before, she had jokingly said once that she wanted her wedding to be star-studded, he... really took it seriously?!

”Really?”

”When have I ever lied to you?” Tai Lan was amused yet helpless, ”Of course it’s true, if you don’t believe me, I’ll take you to the hotel in the city right now. The Pitts’s Couple has already arrived, and your favorite Elf Prince will be coming on the earliest flight tomorrow morning, Ruoruo, please, open the door...”
