After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 685: Chapter 689: You Start to Resemble a Woman of Mine, Leng Zimo【1】

”I haven’t decided on a formal name yet, but I’ve already thought of a nickname.” Huangfu Ruo turned her face to look out at the darkening sky outside the window, ”Qin Lan and I first met at night, and he confessed his love to me at night too... So, I’ve decided to call her Wanwan.”

Gently stroking her belly, Huangfu Ruo’s face showed a rare look of deep affection, ”She is the crystallization of our love, and I hope to use her name to commemorate our love, even if... we can’t be together in the future, at least there will be Wanwan to accompany me.”

”Are you overthinking again?” Luo Xiaoqian took her hand, ”Ruoruo, believe me, Qin Lan must have his reasons.”

”I hope so.” Huangfu Ruo smiled with a pretense, ”What about you, have you thought of a name for the baby?”

”If your princess is named Wanwan, then our prince can be named... Baibai.”

”Baibai? What does that mean?” Huangfu Ruo asked, puzzled.

”If your princess represents night, our prince represents daytime, perfectly making up a full 24-hour day.” Luo Xiaoqian explained.

Huangfu Ruo was startled, then burst out laughing, ”Who names their child so casually? Are you sure you’re the mother?!”

Seeing her smile, Luo Xiaoqian also felt relieved, ”Ruoruo, don’t worry too much. Listen to me, get some sleep now, and I promise that when you wake up, Qin Lan will definitely give you a satisfying explanation.”

Huangfu Ruo nodded slightly and closed her eyes as Luo Xiaoqian chatted with her intermittently.

Because of Qin Lan, Huangfu Ruo had insomnia all night yesterday and was indeed a bit tired now. Comforted by her, she soon fell asleep for real.

Watching her sleep, Luo Xiaoqian tiptoed over to cover her with the blanket and walked to the door, pulling it open.

Outside the door, Leng Zimo was holding a tray, about to knock on the door.

Seeing Luo Xiaoqian come out, he withdrew his hand and glanced into the room.

”How is she?”

”She’s asleep,” Luo Xiaoqian came out and carefully closed the door, ”Where’s Qin Lan?”

”He just called; he’s on his way back now,” Leng Zimo looked at the tray of food, ”She’s asleep now, so you can eat this while it’s hot. You’ve been eating Western food these past days, and I noticed you don’t seem to have much of an appetite.”

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t want to go against his wishes, so she said, ”Let’s go downstairs to eat.”

The two of them went downstairs together, with Leng Zimo still reminding her to be careful.

As soon as they reached the first floor, Qin Lan was hurrying up the stairs with a look of concern on his face. Seeing them, he stopped immediately and asked, ”How is Ruoruo?!”

”She just fell asleep; you don’t have to worry, she didn’t really get hurt,” Luo Xiaoqian assured him.

”Thank you,” Qin Lan nodded to her and turned to go upstairs.

”Qin Lan,” Luo Xiaoqian called to him as he turned, ”I have a few words I want to say to you.”

Qin Lan, concerned about Huangfu Ruo, had no mood to listen to her, ”Can I see how Ruoruo is first, and then we talk, okay?”

”What I want to talk to you about is about Ruoruo,” Luo Xiaoqian said.

Seeing her serious look and stern tone, and realizing she wasn’t joking, Qin Lan looked doubtfully at Leng Zimo standing beside them, who simply nodded to him.

”Then...” Qin Lan walked over, ”let’s talk in the small living room on the second floor.”

The three of them went to the second-floor living room, where Leng Zimo placed the tray of food in front of Luo Xiaoqian, and Qin Lan sat on the sofa opposite her.
