After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 692: Chapter 696: The Wedding of the Century [3]

”You...” Huangfu Ruo straightened up, wiping the tears from her face, ”You really don’t have anyone else?”

”What are you thinking about? There’s nothing like that at all,” Qin Lan said helplessly.

”Then why... why didn’t you sleep in my room last night? Do you not like my body anymore, is it because I’m pregnant and my figure has changed?” Huangfu Ruo asked in a low voice.

Please, she was only one month pregnant, and it hardly had any effect, okay?

Qin Lan leaned against the doorframe, ”Come out, and I’ll tell you, okay?”

”No, you have to explain now, or I’m not coming out,” Huangfu Ruo answered from inside.

”Fine, I’ll tell you, listen carefully,” Qin Lan took a deep breath, ”The reason I didn’t sleep with you last night is that I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to control myself and not touch you.”

”You’re lying!” Huangfu Ruo roared in a low voice, ”I’m your woman, why would you need to control yourself?”

”It’s because I consulted a doctor, and the doctor said that you’re in the early stages of pregnancy, and the frequency of marital relations shouldn’t be too high. Tomorrow is our big wedding day, and I thought, I’d save the opportunity for tomorrow night, a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Although we’re already together, tomorrow is the true night of our wedding, I don’t want us to have any regrets...”

”Really?” Before he could finish, Huangfu Ruo had already pulled the door open.

Standing in the bright light of the bathroom, her little face was streaked with tears, and her hair was a bit messy from sleeping, but in Qin Lan’s eyes, no one was more beautiful than this girl.

”Of course it’s true.” Qin Lan stepped forward, lifting his hand to cradle Huangfu Ruo’s face, carefully wiping her tears with a handkerchief, ”Last night, I didn’t sleep a wink, and I walked to your door several times. In the end, I couldn’t help but walk to the side of your bed. But you, Little Piggy, were sleeping so soundly, I couldn’t wake you no matter how much I called, so I had to go back to my room.”

”I wasn’t really asleep. I didn’t sleep well all night either. I... I thought you had come to have it out with me...” Huangfu Ruo said with a tearful smile, ”I heard you come in and pretend to be asleep on purpose. You called for me, but I didn’t dare answer.”

”You silly little troublemaker.” Qin Lan affectionately pinched her face, ”Alright, now that everything is clear, go and wash your face. What would you like to eat? I’ll make it for you in the kitchen.”

Huangfu Ruo just said she was hungry. He was genuinely worried that the young girl might starve.

In her belly, after all, was their little baby, who was now the focus of their protection.

”Wait a second.” Huangfu Ruo grabbed his arm.

Qin Lan turned around, ”What...”

Before he could finish speaking, she had already pounced on him, hugging him, her mouth pressing against his, her small hands mischievously reaching under his shirt and embracing his solid back and waist.

Her small hands were cool, but where they touched, they ignited flames.

Qin Lan’s breathing instinctively quickened.

Gasping for breath, he released her lips, his tone was annoyed, ”You little mischief, did you do that on purpose?”

He had already endured all of last night, and now she was deliberately teasing him. She must be doing this to get back at him!

Huangfu Ruo raised her blushing little face, her eyes sparkling as she looked into his, ”Qin Lan, I want you, right now, immediately.”

Under the light, her lips were especially lush, and the dress she wore had been so rumpled by him that it was loose, exposing her slender neck and a shoulder.

Bending down to scoop her up, Qin Lan carried her straight to the bathroom.
