After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 688: Chapter 692: The Crazy Xu Pei【2】

Tong Ya and Shen Yizhou also ran over from the nearby car. Shen Yizhou helped Huangfu Ao hold back the raging Leng Zirui, and Tong Ya approached the car door, ”Xu Pei, calm down and listen to me. I know this must be something you did in a moment of impulsion. Just quietly come back with us, after the wedding is over, we’ll return to our country together. I’ll go to the confession with you. I believe that as long as you confess willingly, the court will be lenient.”

”I don’t believe it. Zimo won’t let me go, Luo Xiaoqian won’t let me go either. They’ll kill me, they’ll kill me...” Xu Pei clutched the steering wheel tightly, dodging Tong Ya’s reaching hand.

”No, they won’t, Xu Pei, you have to trust me. We will all help you. I promise, I will plead for you with Zimo and Xiao Qian, as long as you realize your mistake and turn over a new leaf...” Tong Ya caught her hand, comforting her by stroking her head, ”Xu Pei, listen to me, let’s start over, alright?!”

”Start over?” Xu Pei slowly turned her face, her eyes looking at Tong Ya through her disheveled hair, ”Will they forgive me?”

Tong Ya nodded, ”They definitely will, I promise. As long as you admit your guilt willingly, stop running away, and don’t think about doing anything else crooked, Zimo and Xiao Qian will surely forgive you...”

At this moment, Leng Zirui’s phone also started to ring.

”Brother, it’s me. Yes, found her...”

”It’s Leng Zimo, isn’t it? Leng Zimo’s call, right?!”

The slightly calmer Xu Pei, upon hearing Leng Zirui’s voice, instantly changed her expression again.

She was afraid. She was truly afraid of Zimo.

She knew his temper all too well; he would never let her go.

Without warning, Tong Ya was pushed by her onto the road.

”Xu Pei!” Tong Ya fell to the ground, ”Calm down!”

”I don’t want to go to jail, I don’t want to go to jail, I don’t want to...”

Bang, she slammed the car door shut, Xu Pei gripped the steering wheel, stepped on the accelerator, and the Peugeot roared off.

Tong Ya’s hand had almost reached the car door, but because Xu Pei drove off too quickly, she was dragged down and fell onto the road.

”Tong Ya (Sister Tongya)!”

Several people called out in alarm, rushing to help her up.

Seizing the chance, Xu Pei had already sped the car away, turning onto a side road and disappearing into the traffic.

”I’m alright!” Tong Ya got up with the help of several people, looked in the direction Xu Pei had disappeared, and sighed, ”She’s... gone mad!”

”She won’t get away.” Leng Zirui flipped through his address book, quickly dialed a number, and after a moment, the call connected, ”It’s me, Leng Zirui. Contact the Marseille Police for me. Looking for someone, the car has a local plate, black Peugeot, just left from my location heading towards the city. The driver is a woman, with an injury on her forehead, shoulder-length hair, Asian appearance, speaks English and French... she’s a fleeing suspect... Okay, notify me the moment you have any news, thank you.”

When Leng Zirui hung up the phone, Shen Yizhou was already pressing a handkerchief against the wound scraped on Tong Ya’s arm.

”Let’s go, we’ll talk more back at the castle.”

Glancing at the distant roadway, Leng Zirui turned and walked to the car, opened the door.

Shen Yizhou helped Tong Ya into the back seat, while Huangfu Ao went to sit in another car. The four of them turned the cars around, heading back to the castle.
