After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 689: Chapter 693: The Crazy Xu Pei【3】

”Ah!” Tong Ya sighed deeply in the back seat, ”I noticed she was in a bad mood for a while now, but I never expected her to do something so extreme.”

”Xu Pei, just like Zimo, is an extremely strong-willed and somewhat obsessive person. Such traits, if well-channeled, can result in the domineering decisiveness like that of Leng Zimo. If not, it turns into the stubborn obsessiveness like that of Xu Pei,” Shen Yizhou pressed down on her bleeding wound, his expression somber. ”At first, I thought Xu Pei liked Zimo, but seeing her leave so resolutely for France, gone for ten years, struggling alone abroad, I thought I was mistaken. It turned out she had buried her feelings for so many years. Given her personality, I’m afraid she would have found it very difficult to accept Xiao Qian’s existence.”

”That day when we had dinner together, I could tell from the way she looked at Xiao Qian that something was off. I tried to hint to her, but she remained oblivious,” Leng Zirui glanced at Tong Ya through the rearview mirror. ”Sister Tongya, are you sure you’re okay? Maybe we should go to the hospital for a checkup?”

”It’s nothing, just a scrape on my arm. It’s getting late; we should go back. Everyone will be worried if we don’t return.” Tong Ya glanced at the darkening sky outside. ”Tomorrow is the wedding day for Qin Lan and Ruoruo. We came to France hoping for a joyous celebration of the wedding, but who would have thought something like this would happen...”

”Speaking of which, Xiao Qian is the most aggrieved. She has endured so much; it’s really hard on her,” Shen Yizhou said.

Thinking of that girl, all three of them fell silent.

The kidnapping that night was something that still caused a chill to run down their spines just by imagining it.

That the girl could be so tolerant in front of Xu Pei, after going through such an ordeal, demanded respect from them for her thoughtful and selfless nature.

On the streets of Marseille downtown.

Xu Pei’s black Peugeot raced crazily down the road, quickly attracting the attention of the traffic police, who immediately chased after her signaling her to pull over.

”No way, nobody’s going to stop me, nobody...”

But Xu Pei was just muttering manically to herself. As she saw the traffic policeman trying to block her with his motorcycle, she violently turned the steering wheel, sending her car swerving into the opposite lane.

Beep!

Just as the light turned green below, a truck was coming head-on. Seeing Xu Pei’s black Peugeot careening towards him, the truck driver’s face went white. He frantically honked his horn while swiftly turning the steering wheel.

Unfortunately, Xu Pei was going too fast.

Hearing the horn, Xu Pei suddenly came back to her senses. It was too late to brake as the truck charged towards her, and she instinctively jerked the steering wheel hard.

Bang!

With a loud noise, the two vehicles collided at an angle, Xu Pei’s black Peugeot flew up into the air, flipping over before crashing heavily onto the ground. It slid out for several meters, then smashed into a roadside kiosk, where it finally came to a stop.

The traffic policeman ran over to Xu Pei, who was still inside the car.

At this moment, gasoline had already started leaking from the ruptured fuel tank. A spark from the opened hood trailed a flash of electrical fire, accompanied by a puff of blue smoke. The car burst into flames, completely engulfing Xu Pei’s body.
