After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 672: Chapter 676: Huangfu Ruo, Who Fears Marriage【1】

”Of course!” Leng Zimo placed the tray on her lap, ”Eat up, after we finish our meal, we’ll head over together. I’ll go keep Ruoruo company, and I’ll go help Qin Lan.”

...

...

By the time the two had finished breakfast and freshened up, it was nearly noon when they arrived at Qin Lan’s ancient castle; the maids immediately took them to the dining room for lunch.

At the dining table, there were only Qin Lan and Huangfu Ruo.

Leng Zirui, Huangfu Ao, and Leng Lin were military personnel, and according to regulations, they couldn’t leave the country at will.

This trip to France was not just to attend Huangfu Ruo’s wedding but also to participate in an important cultural exchange event in Marseille between China and France.

Early in the morning, a French commissioner had already come to take the three to the event. Shen Yizhou was worried about Leng Lin’s health and accompanied him on the trip, while Tong Ya went to the city to meet an artist friend who was performing there and was also absent.

The cultural exchange event had been set up last month, and later on, when Huangfu Ruo and Qin Lan decided to get married, it was because of this event that they chose to hold the wedding here.

Both of their parents had passed away, and the siblings were each other’s only family. If Huangfu Ao couldn’t have come here for the wedding, she would have surely preferred to hold the wedding in their home country.

Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian naturally knew about this matter already and weren’t surprised to see several people missing.

Leng Zimo first helped Luo Xiaoqian pull out a chair and placed a napkin on her lap, then sat down next to her before asking Qin Lan, ”Is there anything else we need to prepare?”

Qin Lan had collaborated with him long ago in the film industry and they were good friends for many years; naturally, she wouldn’t stand on ceremony with him, ”After lunch, you should go to the church in the city. The priest we had contacted before is sick, so we need to find another priest to officiate the wedding. I’m going to the airport to pick up my parents.”

”Okay,” Leng Zimo agreed immediately. It was only right to help out at a good friend’s wedding.

”Leave Princess Qianqian with me, I guarantee I’ll return her to you with not a single hair missing,” Huangfu Ruo joked.

”It’s precisely because I’m leaving her with you that I’m not at ease,” Qin Lan said with a smile, glancing at her before her eyes settled on Luo Xiaoqian, ”Xiao Qian, I’m entrusting our Ruoruo to you. Help me keep an eye on her and don’t let her get into any mischief.”

Huangfu Ruo pouted unhappily, ”Hey, Xiao Qian is younger than me, you’re having her watch over me?”

”Your mental age is still stuck in kindergarten, of course, I need her to watch over you,” Qin Lan patted Huangfu Ruo’s hand, ”Be good, and if you behave, I’ll bring you ice cream tonight.”

”Really?” Huangfu Ruo’s eyes immediately lit up, ”Didn’t you say it’s best not to eat cold food after getting pregnant?”

”I’ve asked the doctor, it’s okay once in a while, as long as you behave.”

Huangfu Ruo immediately raised her right hand, ”I promise, whatever Xiao Qian tells me to do, I will do, and I will follow Her Royal Highness the Princess’s arrangements.”

Qin Lan put down her cutlery and took a napkin to wipe a smear of grease from the corner of Huangfu Ruo’s mouth, then rose from her seat, ”Shall we get going then?!”

”Sure, go ahead with your tasks without worry, I will take good care of Xiao Ruo,” noticing Leng Zimo’s gaze shifting towards her, Luo Xiaoqian added with a smile, ”and myself.”

”Call me if anything happens,” Leng Zimo reminded her once more before he left the castle with Qin Lan.
