Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Just then, the group leader who had followed in suddenly had his black pupils contract, and then he quietly, ever so quietly, moved his paw away from the door and hid to one side.

Hearing the noise at the door, the little guy looked up in this direction.

After glancing at Che Huan, for some reason, there was a tingling sensation in his heart, a very different feeling—could this be what Uncle described as love at first sight?

His face changed abruptly, and his small hand quickly wiped away his tears. He pursed his small mouth, ”You, a new nurse?”

Che Huan ”Mhm”ed in response and smiled at the little one, appraising the young boy in front of her. Under the slightly curled long and dense eyelashes were a pair of bright yet profound eyes that were unfathomable, not like other children whose thoughts were always written on their faces.

Looking at Che Huan, the little one pursed his lips again, ”What’s your name?”

Che Huan looked at the little one, feeling he seemed somewhat familiar, ”Che Huan.”

”That’s a nice name. I’m Huo Minhan, you can call me Little Hanhan.” The little one ”Mhm”ed in satisfaction, pleased with the new nurse’s pleasant voice and name.

It was her first time seeing such a child who acted beyond his years, disarmingly so, with a corner of her heart inexplicably softening into a complete mess.

Che Huan walked over and placed the cart to one side, glanced at the scattered medical equipment on the floor, and smiled, ”What happened?”

The little one pursed his lips tightly, glanced at the nurse standing at a distance, and spoke earnestly, ”Those two nurses are so clumsy, even knocking over the IV stand when trying to give an injection. Utterly unprofessional!”

Che Huan looked down at the little one’s hand, which showed no signs of being pricked by a needle, and couldn’t help but smile. She instantly understood—he must be a difficult little ancestor; otherwise, the nurse wouldn’t have pushed her in here just then.

The little one glanced at Che Huan and sat there obediently, a stark contrast to his demeanor just minutes before, ”Huanhuan, can you give me the injection? You seem much more professional than those two dummies.”

”...”

Che Huan was taken aback. Did she look that professional?

Giving an injection is a technical task, and the occupants of the special care wards could either be from powerful official families or wealthy lineages. A mistake could cost her dearly, something she definitely couldn’t afford!

She turned to look at the nurse standing aside, ”Would you please come over and take care of him?”

The nurse stood there, staring blankly at Che Huan as if she hadn’t heard a thing. She could hardly believe that the notoriously difficult scion of the Huo family was now docile as a lamb beside this beautiful woman.

It was said that in the Huo Family, apart from the child’s father, no one else could handle this little tyrant. And now there seemed to be a second person!

Che Huan repeated herself, and the two nurses finally snapped out of their daze, looking at Che Huan as if she were their savior!

One rushed to the cart to find the medication and the IV setup, while the other began picking up the items from the floor.

Soon, the two of them came over together to help the little one with the IV.

The little one sat there, unusually cooperative. When he saw the nurse ready to insert the needle, he pursed his lips and turned his head away.

Che Huan gently covered his eyes with her hand, ”Don’t be afraid, it won’t hurt.”

The soft touch on his face sparked a very different sensation in his heart!

The little one’s ears turned red involuntarily, and he stayed quiet from beginning to end, not making a fuss, stoically enduring it.

The nurse quickly inserted the needle and adjusted the IV, glancing at the little one and still finding it unbelievable. It was like a dream; had the Little Demon who always caused the nurses such headaches been sorted out just like that?
