Daddy Always Gets Jealous

She removed the suit jacket with light movements.

Yu Zimu dared not look any longer, his gaze averted with a strong desire to survive.

Che Huan saw that he made no sound, her hand resting on the first button of her shirt collar, trembling slightly, ”The second piece.”

The private room fell silent in an instant, devoid even of the sound of breathing.

Che Huan regretted her own cleverness, ”The third piece.”

Before she could finish speaking, a cold voice cut through—

”Enough!”

Huo Jinnan stood up, walked over to Che Huan, picked up a men’s suit jacket from the side, and draped it over her shoulders, his gaze sweeping over Shen You, Yu Zimu, and Qin Shaonan.

Shen You quickly pinched his female companion with a knowing look, ”Lets go, we have business to attend to.”

As he left, Yu Zimu and Qin Shaonan also made their exits, while Gu Yunqing sat there with an ugly expression, looking at Che Huan.

Huo Jinnan’s eyes, chilly and piercing, landed on Gu Yunqing, ”You, get out too.”

Gu Yunqing’s smile barely hung on as she stood up to look at Che Huan, her words uttered almost through gritted teeth, ”Che Huan, take good care of Mr. Huo.”

Che Huan remained silent, standing there quietly, unable to believe that President Gu would say such a thing!

Gu Yunqing turned around, her face dark as she left the private room. She could tolerate him touching other women, but the title of Mrs. Huo was something no one could compete with her for!

Huo Jinnan gestured for the waiter to leave and close the door behind them.

And just like that, only Huo Jinnan and Che Huan were left in the private room.

Che Huan stood there, looking up at Huo Jinnan, ”Does what Mr. Huo said earlier still count?”

Huo Jinnan stretched out a hand to grasp Che Huan’s chin and lifted it, ”Do you think a game is enough?”

Che Huan stood there, emotions undulating, besides her mother, Uncle was her only relative...

At this thought, she met Huo Jinnan’s gaze and raised a hand to help him undo the buttons on his shirt, ”Then Mr. Huo, shall I stay tonight?”

”Stay for what?”

His voice was cool, devoid of warmth, chilling to the bone. Instantly, the room temperature seemed to drop to subzero, cold, very cold, shiver-inducingly cold.

Confronted with the man’s increasingly frigid eyes, Che Huan’s breathing involuntarily grew taut, her instinct telling her that he probably had no interest in her, which was why she dared to do this! Was he troubling her simply because, with his status as Mr. Huo, he liked women fawning over him and disliked defiance?

Huo Jinnan’s lips were pressed together in a thin line, standing there elegantly, freeing one hand to take a cigarette. His slender, bonelike fingers lit it, held it between them, with white smoke swirling around his fingertips, rising in curls.

In the dimly lit room, from her perspective, such a man was lethal and captivating, deterring anyone from approaching easily, as if one step closer would be a plunge into a bottomless abyss.

As she undid the second button of the man’s shirt, her fingertips felt as though they were scorched by the lit cigarette. But with no way back, all she could do was to keep going.
