Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1888 - 1675: Gloves, Katanas and Cookies

The air on this floor of the berserk dungeon was thick with malice, vibrating with the low growls and roars of monsters. The dim, flickering light from the dungeonʼs crystals reflected off bloodthirsty eyes. Hundreds of monsters charged forward—orc generals, corrupted minotaurs, hulking ogres, and various abominations born of chaos energy.

At the forefront stood two women, their auras radiating power and confidence. Sakuya, with her twin katanas shimmering in the faint light, smirked. The shadows around her seemed to bend to her will, swirling and coalescing into a menacing shroud.

Beside her, Luna, the saintess, was a stark contrast. Her body glowed with a divine golden aura, the light forming intricate patterns on her skin. Her gloves shimmered with a blend of Water and Light magic, the elements dancing around her like celestial flames. Her smile was anything but saintly—it was the grin of someone ready to unleash holy retribution.

”Letʼs see who takes down more,” Sakuya said, her voice laced with anticipation.

Luna laughed, stretching her fingers as the golden light intensified around her gloves.

”Oh, Mio, youʼre on. Letʼs crack some skulls!”

The first wave of monsters charged in—a mix of corrupted ogres and armored orc generals wielding massive axes.

Sakuya blurred into motion, her katanas slicing through the air with impossible precision. Each swing was a masterstroke of chaos, combining her Wind and Darkness elements. Wind blades extended from her katanas, slicing through multiple enemies at once, while tendrils of darkness wrapped around others, crushing them or pulling them into the void.

A minotaur roared and swung its massive hammer at her, but she vanished in a burst of spatial energy, reappearing above it.

”Too slow,” she said, plunging both blades into its skull.

Meanwhile, Luna was a radiant blur of motion, her movements almost imperceptible to the naked eye. She darted between monsters, her golden gloves crackling with Holy Tier magic. With every punch, a blast of light erupted, obliterating her targets.

An ogre lunged at her, its claws swiping at her neck, but Luna ducked and countered with a powerful uppercut to its jaw. The holy energy in her gloves exploded on contact, sending the beast flying into a group of charging orcs.

”Come on, is that all youʼve got?” Luna taunted, her voice filled with savage delight.

Her light magic wasnʼt just for offense—it healed her minor injuries and buffed her already formidable speed and strength. Coupled with her Water element, she created whips of liquid light that lashed out at enemies, slicing through their ranks like a divine storm.

The two women worked seamlessly, their contrasting styles complementing each other perfectly.

Sakuya created chaos, her Space magic distorting the battlefield. At one point, she slashed the air, opening a spatial rift that sucked in several monsters. Her Wind magic kept others off balance, cutting them down with razor-sharp gusts.

Luna capitalized on the openings Sakuya created, her fists delivering devastating blows that crushed bones and obliterated chaos-fueled flesh.

At one point, a massive, mutated centaur charged toward them, its corrupted horn glowing with dark energy.

”Luna, take the right!” Sakuya shouted, dashing to the left.

Luna nodded, sprinting with supernatural speed. As the centaurʼs horn fired a devastating beam of dark energy, Luna flipped over it, landing a powerful punch to its flank. The holy light in her gloves exploded, leaving a gaping wound.

Sakuya finished it with a precise slash across its throat, her katana glowing with darkness.

”Nice teamwork,” Luna said, giving Sakuya a grin.

Sakuya smirked back. ”We make a good pair.”

The dungeon wasnʼt done yet. The ground trembled as the final wave approached—a massive horde of corrupted monsters led by a towering chaos knight clad in spiked black armor.

”That oneʼs mine,” Sakuya said, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

”Fine, but donʼt hog all the fun,” Luna replied, her golden aura flaring brighter.

The chaos knight roared, its massive sword cleaving through the air. Sakuya met it head-on, her katanas crossing to block the strike. The impact sent shockwaves through the room, but she held her ground.

Using her Space magic, she teleported behind the knight and slashed at its back. The darkness imbued in her blades spread like poison, weakening its movements.

Meanwhile, Luna was a whirlwind of destruction, taking out the remaining horde. She combined her Light and Water magic to create devastating area-of-effect attacks. One particularly powerful move involved summoning a massive tidal wave of glowing water that swept through the battlefield, washing away dozens of monsters.

”Guess I win this round,” Luna said with a wink as she dispatched the last of the horde.

Sakuya rolled her eyes but smiled. ”Letʼs finish this guy together.”

The chaos knight, now severely weakened, roared in defiance. Sakuya and Luna charged together, their attacks perfectly synchronized.

Sakuya struck first, her katanas glowing with a mix of Wind and Space magic. She unleashed a flurry of slashes that tore through the knightʼs armor, exposing its core.

Luna followed up with a devastating punch, her golden gloves radiating with concentrated Holy Tier magic. The impact shattered the knightʼs core, sending fragments of chaos energy scattering into the air.

The knight collapsed with a final, echoing roar, its body disintegrating into ash.

The battlefield was silent, save for the heavy breathing of the two women. They stood amidst the carnage, their auras gradually fading as they relaxed.

”Not bad for a saintess,” Sakuya teased, sheathing her katanas.

Luna grinned, wiping sweat from her brow. ”Not bad for a sadist.”

They laughed, their camaraderie stronger than ever. Together, they continued deeper into the dungeon.

The two women continued deeper into the dungeon, their adrenaline still running high from the battle. After traversing through winding corridors filled with eerie, glowing runes and faint whispers of chaos, they found a relatively quiet spot—an open cavern with a trickling stream of crystal-clear water running along one side.

Luna stretched her arms overhead and sighed in relief. ”Finally, a decent place to breathe.”

Sakuya smirked, brushing some dust off her clothes. ”You and your constant craving for comfort. But I guess this spot isnʼt bad.”

Luna reached into her item box and pulled out a small metal container, her face lighting up as she opened it to reveal rows of neatly arranged cookies. The sweet, buttery aroma wafted through the cavern.

”Ah, the ultimate treasure,” Luna said with a dramatic flourish.

Sakuya raised an eyebrow. ”Cookies? Really?”

”Not just any cookies.” Luna held up one with pride. ”These are honey-maple cookies with a hint of cinnamon. Pure perfection.”

With a shrug, Sakuya sat down on a nearby rock. ”Well, I wonʼt say no to free food.”

The two women sat by the stream, the chaos of the dungeon momentarily forgotten. Luna handed Sakuya a cookie, which she accepted somewhat reluctantly.

As Luna bit into her first cookie, her face lit up.

”Mmm… This is what happiness tastes like.”

Sakuya took a bite of hers and nodded in grudging approval. ”Not bad. I guess youʼre good for something after all, Lû.”

Luna grinned, taking another bite. ”Iʼll take that as a compliment. Now, letʼs enjoy this moment before the dungeon decides to throw another oversized beast at us.”

They shared the cookies in companionable silence, the faint sound of the stream adding a serene backdrop to their break.

After a while, Luna leaned back and looked up at the cavern ceiling. ”You know, for a berserk dungeon, this place isnʼt entirely horrible. Just needs less bloodthirsty monsters and more cookies.”

Sakuya chuckled. ”Youʼre impossible. But Iʼll admit, this little pause was nice. Ready to get back to the grind?”

Luna stretched again and stood up. ”Letʼs go crack some more skulls. But Iʼm keeping the last cookie for later.”

Sakuya rolled her eyes and smirked. ”Fine. Just donʼt let it distract you when weʼre surrounded again.”
