Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1858 - 1547: Out With Gracier

The following day, after sharing a hearty breakfast with his loved ones, Alex prepared to spend some quality time with his little sister, Gracier. When she stepped into view, he was momentarily taken aback by how radiant she looked.

Gracier wore a fiery red dress that seemed almost to shimmer like embers under sunlight. The fabric hugged her petite figure delicately, flaring out slightly at the waist into soft, flowing layers that moved gracefully with each step she took. The bodice was adorned with intricate gold embroidery that resembled flames licking upward, accentuating the vivid red hue of the dress.

Her sleeves were sheer and light, billowing gently at her wrists and edged with subtle golden accents that caught the light whenever she moved. The neckline dipped modestly, framed by a delicate choker with a ruby pendant that perfectly complemented her ensemble.

Her hair, tied back in a loose, elegant braid, allowed a few fiery strands to frame her face, softening her look while highlighting her vibrant red locks. A small golden hairpin in the shape of a phoenix adorned her braid, completing the ensemble and giving her an almost ethereal aura.

As she approached, her cheeks flushed slightly, a blend of excitement and bashfulness evident in her expression.

”How do I look, big brother?” she asked, her voice soft yet brimming with anticipation.

Alex smiled warmly, his pride and affection for her clear.

”You look stunning, Gracier. Absolutely perfect,” he replied, his tone sincere.

Gracierʼs face lit up with a radiant smile, her earlier nervousness melting away.

”Thank you, Big brother ” she said, her voice bright with joy.

Taking her hand, Alex led her out into the fortress grounds, ready to spend a memorable day together. The bond they shared, unbreakable and full of warmth, made the day ahead feel even more special.

Alex and Gracier left the fortress, making their way to the nearby city, a bustling hub filled with lively streets, charming shops, and inviting aromas wafting from various eateries. Their first destination was a renowned café tucked along a cobblestone avenue. The café was a quaint, picturesque spot with flower boxes brimming with vibrant blooms and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made it a local favorite.

Inside, the scent of freshly brewed coffee and baked pastries filled the air. Soft sunlight streamed through the large windows, casting a golden glow over the cozy interior. Alex and Gracier found a quiet table near the window, offering a perfect view of the cityʼs lively streets.

Gracierʼs eyes sparkled with excitement as she perused the menu.

”This place is so charming!” she exclaimed, glancing around at the cozy décor and the display of colorful macarons and cakes behind the glass counter.

Alex chuckled. ”I thought youʼd like it. Itʼs been a while since weʼve had a chance to just relax like this.”

After placing their order, the food arrived promptly. Alex opted for a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, and smoked salmon, while Gracier chose a delicate fruit parfait, accompanied by a latte that was as beautifully presented as the café itself.

She cradled the warm cup in her hands, marveling at the intricate latte art—a phoenix design that almost seemed to mirror her fiery personality.

”Look, big brother! Isnʼt it amazing?” she said, her voice filled with delight.

”It suits you,” Alex replied with a grin, nodding toward the phoenix.

Gracier giggled, taking a careful sip. ”Mmm, itʼs delicious! You have to try this next time.”

As they ate, they chatted about everything and nothing—plans for the day, memories of past adventures, and little observations about the bustling city around them. Gracierʼs laughter was light and carefree, a sound Alex cherished deeply. It reminded him of how far they had come and how precious moments like these were.

When they finished their meal, Gracier sighed contentedly, leaning back in her chair.

”That was perfect. I wish mornings could always be like this.”

Alex smiled, reaching over to ruffle her hair gently, earning a playful pout in return. ”They can be. As long as we make time for them.”

Gracier nodded, her expression softening.

”Then letʼs promise to do this more often.”

”Deal,” Alex replied.

With their spirits high, they left the café, ready to explore the city further and make the most of their day together. The bustling streets awaited, and Alex couldnʼt help but feel a sense of contentment as he walked beside Gracier, knowing that these small moments meant the world to both of them.

After their leisurely morning at the café, Alex and Gracier made their way to the cityʼs popular pool, a sprawling aquatic complex known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant, lively atmosphere. The entrance was adorned with colorful banners fluttering in the breeze, and the sound of splashing water and cheerful laughter could be heard even from outside.

Gracierʼs eyes lit up as they approached. ”Wow, this place is huge! It looks so fun!” she exclaimed, practically bouncing with excitement.

The pool was divided into sections—one for leisurely swimming, another with water slides, and a more tranquil area surrounded by lush greenery for those seeking relaxation. The centerpiece was a massive lagoon-style pool, its sparkling blue water reflecting the bright midday sun.

After changing into their swimwear, they stepped out into the warm sunlit space. Gracier wore a vibrant red swimsuit that matched her fiery hair and personality, accented with golden details that shimmered like sunlight on water. Alex, in simple black swim trunks, couldnʼt help but smile at how excited she looked as she scanned the various attractions.

”Where should we start, big brother?” Gracier asked, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.

Alex chuckled. ”How about the slides? Iʼm pretty sure youʼve been eyeing them since we got here.”

Gracier nodded eagerly, and the two headed to the tallest slide in the complex, its winding path spiraling down into a splash-filled landing. The line moved quickly, and soon it was their turn.

Gracier went first, her laughter echoing as she zipped down the slide in a blur of red and gold, landing in the pool with a gleeful splash. Alex followed, the rush of the slide accompanied by the sound of her cheering him on at the bottom.

After several rounds of slides, they decided to explore the lagoon pool. The water was refreshingly cool, and they spent time floating, splashing each other, and enjoying the carefree atmosphere. Gracierʼs laughter was contagious as she playfully tried to splash Alex, only to be met with a counterattack that left them both in fits of laughter.

”Big brother, no fair!” she said, pretending to pout but unable to hide her grin.

”Allʼs fair in a water fight,” Alex replied with a smirk, ruffling her wet hair.

As the afternoon wore on, they took a break at one of the poolside lounges. Gracier sipped on a tropical fruit smoothie, her cheeks flushed with happiness from the dayʼs activities. Alex leaned back in his chair, watching her with a fond smile. Moments like these, he thought, were priceless—a chance to see her truly carefree and full of life.

”Thanks for bringing me here, big brother,” Gracier said softly, looking up at him with a sincere smile. ”Iʼm having the best day.”

Alex reached over and gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze. ”Me too, Gracier. Itʼs nice to see you smiling like this.”

As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting a golden glow over the pool, they decided to call it a day. Hand in hand, they left the aquatic wonderland, already discussing what adventure they might try next. For Alex, there was no greater joy than seeing Gracier happy, and he silently vowed to create more moments like this for her in the days to come.
