Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1887 - 1674: Combined Attack

The air within the corrupted dungeon grew heavier as Maria and Gracier stepped into the next room. What awaited them was a monster comparable to Emperor level monster,—a seven-headed hydra, its massive form towering over them. Each head was a different color, representing a unique elemental affinity: fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, ice, and poison.

The hydraʼs scales shimmered with a menacing glow, and its eyes radiated primal malice. Its massive body pulsated with chaotic energy, a stark reminder of the dungeonʼs berserk state. The sheer pressure of its presence would have made lesser adventurers falter, but Maria and Gracier exchanged only a determined glance.

”This oneʼs going to be tough,” Gracier said, fire flickering around her hands. ”Think we can handle it?”

Mariaʼs lips curved into a confident smile.

”Together, we can handle anything.”

The hydra roared, its seven heads weaving in intricate patterns as it prepared to attack. The ground beneath their feet trembled as the beast lunged forward, two heads spitting streams of fire and ice in unison.

Gracier reacted first, summoning a wall of flame to counter the icy blast. The resulting explosion filled the chamber with steam, obscuring vision. Maria took advantage of the chaos, dashing forward with her sword glowing brightly.

She aimed for one of the heads—the earth head—but the hydraʼs other heads moved to intercept her. A blast of lightning surged toward her, but she deflected it with a quick barrier of wind.

”Gracier, keep it distracted!” Maria shouted, leaping back to avoid a venomous strike from the poison head.

Gracier grinned. ”On it!”

She raised her hands, and a massive sphere of fire formed above her. With a yell, she hurled it at the hydra. The fireball exploded on impact, engulfing two of the heads in flames. The hydra screeched in pain, but it was far from defeated.

Maria and Gracier knew they had to work together to take down this beast. They quickly fell into a rhythm, their attacks complementing each otherʼs strengths.

When the hydraʼs water head unleashed a torrential wave, Maria froze it mid-air with her ice magic, then Gracier shattered it with a well-aimed blast of fire. Shards of frozen water and flames rained down on the hydra, forcing it to rear back in frustration.

The hydra retaliated, its seven heads moving with terrifying speed. The fire head unleashed a massive column of flames, while the wind head created a vortex to draw them in. Maria raised a barrier of light to shield them, the golden energy shimmering as the inferno clashed against it.

”Gracier, now!” Maria called out.

Gracier leapt into action, her body engulfed in flames as she summoned a massive dragon-shaped projection of fire. The fiery construct roared and launched itself at the hydra, slamming into its midsection. The impact forced the monster back, its cries of rage echoing through the chamber.

Maria used the opening to dart forward, her sword glowing with light energy. She slashed at one of the heads—the ice head—severing it cleanly. The hydra screeched in agony as black ichor sprayed from the wound, but before Maria could retreat, two of the remaining heads lunged at her.

Gracier was there in an instant, her flames forming a shield to block the attack. ”Stay sharp, Maria!” she warned.

The hydraʼs regenerative ability became apparent as the severed ice head began to grow back, the stump bubbling with chaotic energy.

”We canʼt just hack at it,” Maria said, gritting her teeth. ”We need to finish it off in one go. Otherwise, itʼll keep regenerating.”

Gracier nodded, her eyes blazing with determination. ”Then letʼs combine our power. Opposing elements—fire and ice—should destabilize its core.”

Maria smirked. ”Letʼs melt this overgrown snake.”

Roarrr!

The hydra roared again, sensing their intent. It unleashed a devastating combination of attacks—poisonous fumes from one head, lightning strikes from another, and a swirling windstorm from a third. The cavern shook as debris rained down, the chaotic energy of the berserk dungeon amplifying the beastʼs power.

Maria and Gracier moved in perfect sync, weaving through the onslaught like seasoned warriors. Maria deflected the lightning with a wall of ice, while Gracier incinerated the poisonous gas with a wave of fire. Their movements mirrored each other, a testament to their training and bond.

”Gracier, give me an opening!” Maria called out.

”On it!”

Gracier leapt into the air, summoning a massive phoenix-like construct of fire. It screeched and dove toward the hydra, slamming into its central body. The hydra thrashed wildly, its heads snapping at the flames as it tried to extinguish them.

Maria seized the moment, raising her sword high. Ice crystals began to form around her, the temperature in the cavern plummeting as she poured her mana into the attack.

”Letʼs see how you handle this,” she murmured. With a single slash, a massive wave of ice surged forward, freezing the hydraʼs lower body in an instant.

”Gracier, now!”

Gracier landed beside Maria, her hands glowing with fiery energy. She grinned, flames flickering around her like a living inferno.

”Time to turn up the heat!”

She thrust her hands forward, unleashing a concentrated beam of fire straight at the frozen hydra. The intense heat clashed with the ice, creating a violent reaction. The opposing elements collided, generating a massive explosion that engulfed the entire chamber.

When the smoke cleared, the hydra was barely standing. Its remaining heads drooped, its body charred and cracked from the combined attack. But the chaotic energy of the dungeon continued to sustain it, preventing it from collapsing entirely.

Maria and Gracier exchanged a glance.

”Letʼs finish this together,” Maria said, raising her sword.

Gracier nodded, summoning all the flames she could muster.

With a synchronized shout, they unleashed their final attack. Mariaʼs sword glowed with a brilliant light as she slashed downward, while Gracierʼs fire spiraled into a massive dragon-shaped inferno. The combined power struck the hydra square in the chest, piercing through its core.

The beast let out a deafening roar as its body began to disintegrate, the chaotic energy that sustained it unraveling. Within moments, the hydra was reduced to ash, its monstrous presence finally erased.

The two women stood in the now-silent cavern, their breaths heavy but triumphant. Gracier wiped a bead of sweat from her brow and grinned. ”That was intense.”

Maria chuckled, sheathing her sword. ”Youʼre telling me. You did great out there.”

Gracierʼs grin widened. ”So did you. I guess we make a pretty good team, huh?”

Maria placed a hand on her shoulder. ”The best.”

As they turned to continue deeper into the dungeon, the bond between them felt stronger than ever. Together, they were unstoppable.
