Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1886 - 1673: Berserk Dungeons 5

Leon navigated through the eerie halls of the berserk dungeon, his sharp senses constantly alert for any danger. The adrenaline coursing through his veins kept him focused, and he was growing more exhilarated with each battle. After defeating countless monsters—ranging from packs of snarling wolves to towering golems—he finally heard the unmistakable clash of steel in the distance.

”Ariel,” he muttered, his lips curling into a grin.

Quickening his pace, Leon rounded a corner and stepped into a vast chamber illuminated by faint, pulsating red crystals embedded in the walls. At the center of the room stood Ariel, her golden hair flowing like a radiant banner as she wielded her sword with precision and grace.

Her opponent was a horde of monsters—a mix of grotesque ghouls, snarling ogres, and slithering serpentine creatures. Despite being outnumbered, Ariel moved like a seasoned warrior, her blade cutting through the air in swift, deadly arcs.

The glow of her Sword Aura enveloped her weapon, each strike leaving trails of purifying light that seared through her enemies. As a ghoul lunged at her from the side, she pivoted gracefully, parrying its claws before driving her blade through its chest. The creature disintegrated into ash as her holy energy consumed it.

Leon leaned casually against a nearby pillar, crossing his arms as he watched her with admiration.

”Still showing off, I see,” he called out, his voice carrying over the cacophony of battle.

Ariel glanced over her shoulder, her emerald eyes locking onto his. A smile spread across her face, though she didnʼt let her focus waver.

”Youʼre late,” she teased, decapitating a charging ogre with a single, fluid motion. ”I was starting to think you got lost.”

”Lost? Me?” Leon laughed, stepping forward as golden lightning began to crackle around his body. ”I was just giving you a head start. Thought you might need the practice.”

Ariel chuckled, the sound light and melodious even amidst the chaos. ”How generous of you. Care to join me now, or are you just here to cheer me on?”

Leon unsheathed his Stormfang Dagger, the blade sparking with electric energy. ”Guess Iʼll have to show you how itʼs done.”

With that, he launched himself into the fray. His movements were a blur as he closed the distance between himself and a towering golem. The creature swung its massive stone fist at him, but Leon ducked under the blow, delivering a series of rapid slashes to its legs. The golden lightning coursing through his blade amplified the damage, and the golem crumbled to its knees before he finished it with a strike to its core.

”Not bad,” Ariel remarked, slicing through another wave of ghouls. ”But I thought you were going to show me something impressive.”

Leon smirked, stepping up beside her as the remaining monsters regrouped for another assault. ”You want impressive? Watch this.”

He raised his dagger high, channeling a surge of lightning into the weapon. With a sharp thrust into the ground, he unleashed a wave of electrical energy that rippled outward, frying every monster in its path. The air was filled with the crackling sound of electricity and the dying screams of their enemies.

Ariel raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed despite herself. ”Okay, that was decent.”

”Decent?” Leon pretended to be offended, resting his dagger on his shoulder. ”You wound me, love.”

Ariel laughed, reaching out to pat his arm. ”Alright, alright. It was more than decent. Now, letʼs finish this together.”

The two stood back-to-back as the next wave of monsters surged toward them. Their movements were perfectly synchronized, a testament to the countless battles they had fought together.

Arielʼs sword danced with holy light, each strike precise and devastating, while Leonʼs dagger crackled with raw power, his speed and agility making him nearly untouchable. They moved like a single, unstoppable force, cutting through the horde with ease.

Within minutes, the chamber was cleared, the last of the monsters falling to Arielʼs blade. She sheathed her sword, brushing a strand of hair from her face as she turned to Leon.

”Not bad for a warm-up,” she said with a playful smile.

Leon grinned, slinging an arm around her shoulders. ”Youʼre lucky I was here to save you.”

Ariel rolled her eyes but leaned into him, her expression softening. ”Sure you were. Come on, letʼs find the others.”

Together, they left the chamber in search of the remaining members of their group.

Maria and Gracier stood side by side in the heart of the berserk dungeon, surrounded by a seemingly endless horde of monsters. The oppressive atmosphere of the dungeon did little to faze them; instead, it ignited a fierce determination in their hearts.

Maria, her white hair shimmering under the dim glow of the dungeonʼs corrupted crystals, wielded her elegant sword with unmatched precision. Her weapon was an extension of herself, each movement fluid and graceful yet devastatingly effective. Around her, the air shimmered with elemental power, a testament to her mastery over all elements.

Beside her, Gracier, in her human form, radiated an aura of fiery intensity. Though smaller in stature compared to Maria, her presence was anything but diminutive. As the Ruler of Flames, Gracierʼs control over the fire element was unparalleled. Her hands glowed with a deep crimson hue, and fire danced along her fingertips, eager to be unleashed.

The monsters—an amalgamation of shadowy ghouls, snarling hellhounds, and grotesque abominations—closed in, their guttural growls echoing through the cavernous chamber.

Gracier cracked her knuckles, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.

”Well, big sister Maria, shall we show them what weʼre made of?”

Maria chuckled softly, her amber eyes glinting with amusement. ”Try to keep up, little sister.”

With that, the battle began.

Gracier was the first to act, thrusting her hands forward as a massive wave of fire erupted from her palms. The inferno roared to life, engulfing the nearest wave of monsters in its searing embrace. The hellhounds howled in agony as their bodies were reduced to ash, while the ghouls disintegrated before they could take another step.

She didnʼt stop there. Raising her hand to the ceiling, she conjured a massive flaming meteor that hovered above her. With a flick of her wrist, she sent it crashing into the densest part of the horde. The resulting explosion shook the ground, sending shockwaves through the chamber and scattering the remaining monsters.

”Whoʼs next?” Gracier taunted, flames curling around her arms like living serpents.

Not to be outdone, Maria stepped forward, her sword gleaming with a white light. With a simple flick of her wrist, she sent a blade of pure energy slicing through the air, cleaving a row of monsters in half.

Switching tactics, Maria raised her free hand, summoning a torrent of water that surged forward like a tidal wave. It was a new skill she learned by lowering her spells intensity.

The water engulfed the advancing monsters, drowning some and freezing others as she seamlessly transitioned into ice magic. Sharp icicles rained down from above, piercing through the monsters with pinpoint accuracy.

When a group of winged creatures descended from above, Maria was ready. She unleashed a burst of wind energy, the gale-force winds slicing through the creaturesʼ wings and sending them plummeting to the ground.

”Careful, Gracier,” Maria called out, a teasing lilt in her voice. ”Donʼt let me steal all the glory.”

The two women fought in perfect harmony, their movements synchronized despite the chaos around them. When Gracier unleashed another fiery explosion, Maria used her wind magic to amplify the flames, creating a roaring firestorm that swept through the horde.

At one point, a massive, lumbering ogre charged toward Gracier, its club raised high. Without missing a beat, Maria intervened, using her earth magic to summon a wall of jagged stone that stopped the ogre in its tracks. Gracier took the opportunity to leap onto the wall, launching herself high into the air before sending a concentrated beam of fire straight into the ogreʼs head.

”Thanks, sis!” Gracier called out as she landed gracefully.

”Anytime,” Maria replied with a smile.

As the last wave of monsters emerged—a group of towering armored knights wielding corrupted weapons—Maria and Gracier exchanged a glance.

”Think you can handle the big one?” Maria asked, motioning to the largest knight.

Gracier smirked. ”Watch me.”

While Maria kept the smaller knights occupied with a barrage of elemental attacks, Gracier focused on the leader. She summoned a fiery sword, its blade glowing with an intense heat, and charged at the knight. Their weapons clashed in a shower of sparks, and Gracierʼs smaller frame moved with surprising agility as she danced around the knightʼs heavy strikes.

With a final, powerful slash, Gracierʼs flaming sword cut through the knightʼs armor, reducing it to molten slag.

Maria finished off the remaining knights with a massive explosion of light energy, the blinding brilliance incinerating them on the spot.

As the dust settled, the chamber grew eerily silent. Maria sheathed her sword, her expression calm but satisfied.

”Well, that was a good workout,” she said, turning to Gracier.

Gracier grinned, her flames dissipating as she dusted off her hands. ”Not bad for a morningʼs work. Think Alex is having this much fun?”

Maria laughed softly. ”Knowing him, heʼs probably doing twice as much damage as we are.”

With that, the two sisters continued deeper into the dungeon, chatting happily, acting as if they werenʼt in a dangerous place.
