Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1859 - 1648: Reunion 2

On their way back, Alex and Gracier came across a dock where an enchanting ship was moored, glimmering like a jewel against the evening sky. The ship, known as The Starlight Voyager, was a renowned sailing restaurant that combined the elegance of a luxury liner with the wonder of magic.

The ship itself was a masterpiece of design, its hull crafted from dark, polished wood that shimmered with a faint iridescent sheen, as if the stars themselves had been infused into its grain. Golden accents adorned its railings and figurehead, which depicted a majestic phoenix rising from waves of sapphire-colored glass. Soft, magical lanterns floated around the ship, casting a warm, otherworldly glow that danced across the waterʼs surface like liquid light.

As they boarded, they were greeted by a host dressed in refined attire that sparkled faintly, as though woven from threads of moonlight. ”Welcome aboard The Starlight Voyager,” he said with a graceful bow. ”Prepare for an evening of unforgettable magic and cuisine.”

The interior of the ship was no less breathtaking. The main dining area was a vast, open space with a domed, enchanted ceiling that reflected the night sky in real-time. Stars twinkled above, and every so often, a shooting star would streak across, drawing gasps of wonder from the guests. Elegant crystal chandeliers hung suspended in midair, refracting light in soft, rainbow hues, adding to the magical ambiance.

Tables were arranged along the edges of the room, offering panoramic views of the sparkling waters through floor-to-ceiling enchanted glass windows that adjusted their transparency for the perfect view. In the center of the room, a raised stage hosted musicians who played soft, melodic tunes on instruments that floated gently in the air, the music weaving an ethereal atmosphere.

Gracierʼs eyes widened as she took it all in. ”This… this is incredible,” she whispered, clutching Alexʼs arm as she gazed at the beauty surrounding them.

A waiter led them to their table, which was set with fine porcelain plates edged in gold, crystal goblets that glimmered like starlight, and intricately folded napkins resembling roses. As they sat down, the table seemed to adjust itself subtly to their comfort, a touch of magic ensuring their experience was seamless.

The menu was a blend of exotic and classic dishes, each infused with a magical twist. They started with an appetizer of glowing crystal shrimp served with a delicate sauce that shimmered like a silvery mist. For the main course, Alex chose a perfectly seared cut of dragon steak paired with enchanted truffle risotto that emitted a faint, savory aroma. Gracier opted for a vibrant dish of phoenix pasta—ribbons of fiery red and gold noodles paired with a rich, spicy sauce that danced with warmth on the tongue.

Their drinks were just as spectacular: Alex had a deep sapphire cocktail that sparkled as if infused with tiny stars, while Gracier enjoyed a fruity, non-alcoholic beverage that swirled with gradients of pink and orange, resembling a sunset.

As they ate, the ship sailed smoothly across the water, the soft hum of magic propelling it forward. The glass windows provided a stunning view of the moonlit ocean, where glowing sea creatures occasionally surfaced, leaving trails of light in their wake.

Halfway through the meal, a performer appeared on stage—a magician who blended artistry with sorcery. He conjured radiant butterflies that flitted around the room, leaving trails of light before dissolving into harmless sparks. Gracier watched with wide-eyed wonder, her hands clasped in front of her as she leaned forward in her chair.

”This has to be the most magical place Iʼve ever been,” she said, her voice filled with awe.

Alex smiled, his heart warmed by her joy. ”I thought youʼd like it,” he said. ”Itʼs not every day we get to enjoy something this extraordinary.”

As dessert arrived—an intricate tower of chocolate and fruit that seemed to shimmer with edible stardust—they shared a quiet moment of contentment, enjoying the blend of flavors and the soothing ambiance of the ship.

When the cruise ended, and The Starlight Voyager docked under a sky full of stars, Gracier clung to Alexʼs arm as they stepped off the ship. ”Thank you, big brother,” she said softly. ”This was the perfect way to end the day.”

Alex gave her a gentle smile. ”Anything for you, Gracier.”

Hand in hand, they walked back toward the fortress, the magical experience still lingering in their hearts like the soft glow of starlight.

The next morning, Alex awoke to the sound of soft knocks on his door, followed by the muffled giggles of familiar voices. Before he could get out of bed, the door creaked open, and the girls entered, carrying a tray laden with breakfast.

”Good morning, big brother!” Gracier said cheerfully, leading the group, her red hair catching the sunlight streaming in through the window.

Behind her, Saeko and Sakuya balanced the tray together, teasing each other about whose hands were steadier, while Artemia carried a small pitcher of juice, her serene smile brightening the room. Luna followed quietly, her delicate touch placing a bouquet of fresh flowers on the table, and Sera stood by the door, her watchful gaze softening as she saw Alex sit up.

”Whatʼs this?” Alex asked with a groggy but amused smile. ”Room service?”

”Something like that,” Saeko quipped with a grin. ”We figured you deserved a little pampering.”

Alex chuckled, running a hand through his disheveled hair. ”Well, how could I say no to such a thoughtful gesture?”

They set the tray on the bedside table, revealing an array of food: fluffy scrambled eggs, golden toast, crispy bacon, fresh fruits, and a steaming cup of coffee. The girls stayed as Alex ate, chatting with him about the day ahead and sharing lighthearted banter that made the morning feel lively and warm.

After finishing breakfast, Alex thanked them, and they left him to get ready. He took a quick bath, letting the warm water wash away the last traces of sleep, before dressing in his training gear and heading to the fortressʼs expansive training grounds, where the girls were already waiting for him.

The training area was a vast open space, bordered by sturdy stone walls and lined with racks of weapons and equipment. It was divided into sections for sparring, archery, magic practice, and physical conditioning, making it the perfect place for their rigorous routines.

As Alex approached, Gracier waved enthusiastically. ”Ready, big brother?” she called out, her excitement evident. She was already dressed in her training attire, a snug yet flexible outfit in shades of red and gold that matched her fiery personality.

”Always,” Alex replied with a grin, stepping onto the field.

They started with warm-ups, each member of the group stretching and jogging in preparation for the more intense exercises to come. Once everyone was ready, Alex led them through a series of drills tailored to their unique abilities.

Artemia focused on honing her precise magical spells, conjuring shimmering orbs of light that zipped through the air with pinpoint accuracy. Sera worked on her swordsmanship, her movements deliberate and powerful, each strike resonating with quiet intensity.

Gracier practiced combining her innate fire magic with agility-based combat, her flames swirling around her hands as she darted across the field in swift, graceful movements. Alex coached her closely, offering tips and occasionally sparring with her to test her reflexes.

”Your formʼs improving,” he said, dodging a burst of fire with a sidestep. ”But donʼt overcommit. Always leave yourself an escape route.”

Gracier nodded, her eyes blazing with determination. ”Got it!”

Meanwhile, Saeko and Sakuya sparred nearby, their laughter occasionally breaking through the sounds of clashing weapons. Luna quietly focused on her workout.
