Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 191: Chapter 113: Turning the Tables (Second Update)

Lawrence Winters: ”...”.

Suddenly hearing Lucas Harlow’s name from Edward Foster’s mouth, Lawrence Winters had a stirring in his heart.

Could this person be the ”insider from the Foster Consortium” that Lucas mentioned?

With the surname Foster, he’s likely either a direct relative or a close collateral relative, perhaps a nephew of Chairman Foster.

Lawrence Winters took another look at Edward Foster’s demeanor, realizing he’s actually a direct relative, indeed the young master of the Foster Consortium—he really underestimated him...

Edward Foster’s secretary saw Lawrence Winters’ strange expression and quickly diverted the topic: ”Is it Lawrence Winters? Please have a seat. This is Mr. Edward Foster, our president at NewHuman Entertainment Ltd., we all call him Little Foster.”

Lawrence Winters nodded slightly and said openly to Edward Foster, ”Hello, Little Foster.”

Edward Foster coughed and without hiding it, smiled and said, ”Hello, I’m really surprised. Lucas once showed me a photo, said it was you. —Look, was I fooled by him?”

Saying this, he directly showed the photo to Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence Winters leaned in to look, smiling as she said, ”No, that’s definitely me. Why do you think you were fooled?”

”How could it be?!” Edward Foster exclaimed in surprise, ”Don’t tell me you lost this much weight in just over two months?”

Lawrence Winters tried hard to suppress the pride in her heart, but her face still maintained a calm look, lightly saying, ”... Yes, I lost the weight over just over two months. What’s strange about that?”

Losing twenty-six pounds in two months is indeed something to be proud of.

Lawrence Winters mentally gave herself a thumbs-up.

Edward Foster stared at her for a long time, compared with the photo again, then reluctantly said, ”Alright, since you admitted to losing weight, I guess I won’t count that Lucas was fooling me.”

Lawrence Winters was very curious but still tried to hold her composure, saying cautiously, ”Lucas Harlow? Yeah, I’m a big fan of his, I’ve met him and even have his WeChat.”

Just recovered Edward Foster: ... Did not feel comforted at all.

So Lucas Harlow still fooled him.

Wait, what did this girl just say?

She’s Lucas Harlow’s big fan leader? Met him? Has his WeChat?

Lucas Harlow, I can’t let this go!

Edward Foster instantaneously imagined in his mind beating Lucas Harlow to the point of being unable to care for himself.

This kid, so cunning, yet willing to be a small celebrity...

Edward Foster stated he doesn’t understand people like Lucas Harlow.

His expression was unpredictable on his face.

Lawrence Winters looked at him curiously and was internally amazed.

Thinking this is exactly the kind of fool her uncle mentioned who wears their heart on their sleeve...

But she only dared to think about it, absolutely not say it aloud.

No matter how foolish he is, he has a good father—there’s no comparison.

Lawrence Winters finally smiled and sat down on the circular sofa in the meeting area of Edward Foster’s president office.

That sofa set was a vanilla-colored fabric design by a famous foreign designer, it looked simple and comfortable but was much more expensive than genuine leather sofas.

Lawrence Winters didn’t know the price of the sofa, but once she sat on it she felt it was distinctly different from normal sofas.

As expected of a young master on the billionaire list, his lifestyle is separated from ordinary people by a wide gap.

Edward Foster sat opposite her and asked, ”Lawrence Winters, what would you like to drink? We have tea, coffee.”

After a pause, he smiled and said, ”Much better than the Starbucks coffee downstairs.”

Lawrence Winters saw him bring it up himself and also smiled, ”You saw earlier, I already had coffee at Starbucks, another cup and I can’t take it.”

”Alright, get her a mango juice.” Edward Foster instructed his secretary.

The secretary quickly went to find someone to prepare fresh mango juice.

Only Edward Foster and Lawrence Winters were left in the president office.

Edward Foster seized the close opportunity to scrutinize Lawrence Winters without restraint.

She wore very ordinary professional attire, he estimated the price the under thousand, not even as much as his pair of loafers.

Yet, when worn by her, it showed no sign of being cheap.

Instead, there was a mystery amidst the simplicity, elegance shone through the casual.

He had never seen a woman with such charisma.

”Lawrence Winters, we sincerely invite you to join our NewHuman Entertainment Ltd.” Edward Foster decided he must recruit her into the company, if it could make Lucas Harlow visit more often, it would be absolutely worth it.
