Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 173: Chapter 105: Acting Dumb to Take on the Tiger (First Update)

In just a few words, she came up with a plan for the aftermath.

Summer Spencer was slightly taken aback. Spring Spencer was actually helping her!

Surprisingly, she wasn’t kicking her while she was down?

She couldn’t quite believe it and looked at the gilded, antique-style landline phone in her hand, asking, ”...Are you really my sister? After I turned five, I don’t remember you ever speaking a good word for me.”

Spring Spencer sneered, ”You think I enjoy helping you? But the trouble you’ve caused this time is too big. If we’re not careful, our whole family could be doomed. — Even if I don’t like you, I have to look at the bigger picture.”

This time, Summer Spencer was truly impressed by her sister, ”Sis, I’ve been competing with you since we were kids, and I always thought my IQ wasn’t much lower than yours. But now I understand why Dad values you more. Your emotional intelligence is higher, and you’re more broad-minded.”

”Ha, don’t think that just because you sweet-talk me, I’m not going to fight for the family inheritance.” Spring Spencer chuckled lightly, ”Hurry back home and fulfill your duties, or else Dad’s heart might be swayed by someone else.”

Summer Spencer was intrigued, ”Sis, what do you mean?”

”It’s nothing. Dad hasn’t been well lately and needs someone close by to take care of him. But those nurses and doctors at home aren’t as considerate.” Spring Spencer spoke with subtlety.

Summer Spencer instantly understood and quickly said, ”I got it, I’ll return to the Southern Region with Mom as soon as possible.”

”Yes, the sooner the better. Resolve your matters over there quickly. I’ve arranged for a private jet to pick you and Aunt Wan up.” Spring Spencer reminded her with a few more words before hanging up.

Summer Spencer immediately called her mom, anxiously saying, ”Mom, it seems like there’s something up with Dad! Ask the driver to take you to Capital City right away; Sis has already arranged a plane to take us back to the Southern Region!”

Hazel Winchester was shocked, ”...Your sister sent a private jet? Is this reliable? Why is she suddenly being so nice to you? You and she used to fight all the time, like arch-enemies!”

”But we’re still sisters!” For the first time, Summer Spencer spoke up for Spring Spencer, ”In crucial moments, you can always rely on family. Anyway, I’ve said enough, I’ll wrap this up quickly.”

Having said that, she hung up the phone. Molly Zimmerman took the opportunity to quickly say, ”Cousin, it’s all my fault...”

Now, the mere sound of Molly Zimmerman’s voice made Summer Spencer feel physically nauseous.

Why did she get herself into such a mess?

It was all to save face for Molly Zimmerman!

But when things went south, she ran straight to her mom to cry, as if she were the real daughter!

Summer Spencer had originally been on good terms with Molly Zimmerman, but after two incidents and falling twice, she’d finally seen Molly’s true colors.

”Enough, let’s say I’m stupid. You’re impressive, pretending to be foolish when confronting the tiger, and I ended up being the fool. This is the last time. From now on, take care of yourself. Stop running to my house to curry favor with my mom. You have your own mom, why cling to mine all the time? Just leave!”

Summer Spencer had no patience left for Molly Zimmerman, scolded her and then put down the phone, pressing the button to call her secretary in.

Her secretary timidly opened the door, quietly asking, ”Director, do you have any orders?”

Summer Spencer looked at her and said coldly, ”Call in Section Chief Huang from External Relations.”

The little secretary hurried out to relay the message.

Section Chief Huang from External Relations was one of the two men who interviewed Lawrence Winters with the deputy director.

He was relatively perceptive, choosing to remain silent during the interview.

When called to Summer Spencer’s office, he thought he was being fired for not having a clear stance, and sweat started pouring down his forehead.

Summer Spencer glanced at him and said, ”From now on, you are the Deputy Director of the Public Relations Department at Spencer Group. Take a few security guards and the company lawyer, and escort Deputy Director Wang out. Just tell her she’s been fired.”

”Also, don’t forget to record a video, no matter how much she curses. Just state clearly it’s because she used her position for personal vendettas against students from Yan University. Understood?”

Section Chief Huang immediately realized that Deputy Director Wang was being made the scapegoat...

He nodded quickly, ”Understood, this matter is Deputy Director Wang’s personal action. Our company won’t take the fall for her.”

”Yes, go quickly. Remember to leave all her things behind. Even her personal items should be strictly checked before returning to her.”

Section Chief Huang caught on, ”I understand, this is to prevent any harm to the company.”

”She used her position for personal gain, and once she’s fired, she will definitely slander our company on social media, so make sure to keep evidence to hit back.”

Section Chief Huang simply took out his phone and opened the memo to jot down what Summer Spencer said.

Summer Spencer waved him out, then immediately called the Spencer Group’s official blog editor, and said again, ”Last time was a misunderstanding, please issue a clarification statement. Remember to tag everyone who’s ever tagged my dad on the official blog, especially Chief Gu. Got it?”

The Spencer Group official blog editor, terrified by how things had trended on Weibo, was almost driven to jump off a building.

Upon hearing that Summer Spencer wanted a ”clarification,” the editor was so relieved they wished they could crawl through the phone line to thank her, ”Miss Spencer, please don’t mess with me! I can’t take it anymore!”

”I said to apologize and clarify; what are you worried about?” she said as she explained the handling of the events.

The editor was immediately revitalized, ”Alright! I’ll post it immediately! By the way, about that deputy director being fired, do you have any videos or photos I can put up?”

Summer Spencer called Section Chief Huang to ask him to send a photo over first.

Five minutes later, the Spencer Group official blog posted an ”apology statement,” tagging all the business figures who had tagged Cameron Spencer’s official blog today, and finally also tagging Chief Gu’s Weibo.
