Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 156: Chapter 96: Yuan-ge’s Tricks

Lawrence Winters let out a long sigh, looking like he was about to launch into a long story.

”Bro Kenneth, last time I did a reading for him, you were there too. Do you remember what I said?”

Kenneth Osborne’s eyes flickered slightly, and he casually replied, ”I remember. You said he has a broad forehead, a prominent Jade Pillow Bone, and noticeable Solar Bones, indicating he has a naturally good fate, and his family shouldn’t be poor or insignificant.”

”You also said he drew the Gradual Progress Hexagram, which is related to a woman’s marriage fate, suggesting that not only does he have sisters, but his mother’s and sisters’ marriages are closely tied to his background.”

”It also signifies that his luck is turning and gradually improving, which means before this, his luck was extremely bad, the worst kind.”

”Connecting it to his specific situation, his worst luck was losing both parents, so according to the divination, he has either an older sister or a younger one, but his parents have passed away.”

”If Blake Leaf believes in your divination, he should search in the southeast direction.”

”On a smaller scale, taking our location at that time as the baseline.”

”On a larger scale, using Capital City as the baseline, in the southeast direction from there.”

”Then you told him to go back and check the household registration migration records from over twenty years ago in City Y.”

Kenneth Osborne said it all in almost one breath, leaving Lawrence Winters stunned, and after a moment, he clapped his hands, ”Bro Kenneth, you’re amazing! You’ve got an incredible memory!”

”I don’t even remember saying so much back then hahaha!”

Lawrence Winters squinted his eyes with a smile, giving a thumbs-up, wishing he could send some likes in the air like a social media pop-up.

Kenneth Osborne’s mouth twitched, and he nonchalantly said, ”Yeah, I know my memory’s good. So what is it you actually want to say?”

Lawrence Winters happily delved into Blake Leaf’s gossip, ”It’s like this, Blake Leaf did go back home as I suggested and found an especially fitting candidate.”

”This woman is named Su Changfeng, in her forties. Over twenty years ago, she moved her household registration from City Y to City C. Impressive, right?”

”What’s even more impressive is that this woman is now a moderately successful real estate developer in City C, owning a decent commercial property.”

”Blake Leaf went to City C to get a DNA test with her.”

”And guess what?! Su Changfeng turned out not to be his mom, but his sister!!!”

Lawrence Winters spit out the twist in one breath, not intending to make Kenneth Osborne guess riddles.

Kenneth Osborne wasn’t surprised. He actually had no interest in Blake Leaf’s background, nor did he want to waste brain cells on guessing his ”mystery background.”

If it wasn’t for the Three Billion Sister asking Lawrence Winters to help, and since Lawrence was someone he cared about, he wouldn’t have even spared a glance.

Seeing Lawrence Winters so excited, Kenneth Osborne went along with the flow and said, ”Really? He actually has a sister who’s more than twenty years older than him.”

”Exactly right!” Lawrence Winters was so excited that he grasped Kenneth Osborne’s hand, ”Bro Kenneth, you really get what excites me! That’s exactly what amazes me! To be precise, his sister is twenty-two years older!”

”She could totally be his mom!”

”Bro Kenneth, do you think his biological mom was at least forty when she had him?!”

”At least forty, maybe even older.” Kenneth Osborne nodded, ”Has Blake Leaf found out anything about his biological parents yet?”

”...That, I haven’t heard him say anything about.” Lawrence Winters calmed down, and just as he was about to speak, the private room door opened, and the waiter began serving the dishes.

Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne stopped talking, waiting for the waiter to finish setting the table and leave the room before they both exchanged a smile.

Kenneth Osborne ladled a small bowl of Chaozhou clay pot porridge for her, saying, ”There’s sea cucumber in there, and the clay pot is especially hot, let it cool down a bit first.”

He also picked a piece of steamed pork ribs with black bean sauce for her.

Lawrence Winters was momentarily stunned, blinked, and hesitantly said, ”Bro Kenneth, you... you didn’t use the serving chopsticks to pick the dishes for me...”

Kenneth Osborne was using his personal chopsticks.

”Do you think I’m dirty?” Kenneth Osborne asked, unfazed, retracting his hand that held the chopsticks, albeit a little slower.

Lawrence Winters pursed his lips, hesitantly saying, ”It’s not that I think you’re dirty, but...”

Kenneth Osborne put down his chopsticks, with a slightly wounded expression, ”Have you seen those couples in the school cafeteria who eat and kiss at the same time?”

Lawrence Winters quickly nodded, disdainfully saying, ”Yeah, I’ve seen them, I look down on them! Public displays of affection like that, can’t they find a private room?”

Kenneth Osborne’s expression turned serious, with an intriguing gleam in his exquisite phoenix eyes, ”They don’t think each other is dirty, are you going to let those you look down on be braver than you? Besides, we have a private room, don’t we?”

Lawrence Winters nodded blankly, ”You have a point there. But...”

”No buts. If you feel like I took advantage, you can use your chopsticks to pick dishes for me, I absolutely won’t think you’re dirty.” Kenneth Osborne leaned back, giving Lawrence Winters the space and distance to pick a dish for him.

Lawrence Winters was a bit dizzy from his reasoning.

But being with Kenneth Osborne was when she felt the most relaxed and at ease.

So when it came to him, she was always straightforward.

If she was broke, she’d borrow money from him; if she had questions, she’d ask him.

As soon as she heard any gossip, she’d share it with him first, even confiding in him some mischievous thoughts that her uncle and mom couldn’t know.

Because Kenneth Osborne would never tattle.

So after Kenneth Osborne suggested it, she also thought it made sense and immediately picked up her chopsticks, grabbing a piece of Hakka stuffed tofu for Kenneth Osborne, smilingly saying, ”Alright, now we’re even.”

Kenneth Osborne scooped himself a spoonful of clay pot eggplant with salted fish and chicken bits, dipped it with the Hakka stuffed tofu Lawrence had given him earlier, and ate it in one go, closing his eyes in delight, savoring it completely.

Lawrence Winters also smiled as she ate the black bean sauce ribs Kenneth picked for her, praising repeatedly, ”These black bean sauce ribs are so delicious!”

As she enjoyed her meal, Kenneth Osborne casually asked, ”Nora, I picked a dish for you and you complained, so what kind of person am I to you?”
