Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 188: Chapter 111: Flirting Feels Good—Flirt All You Want, Feels Good Forever (Third Update)

This man is truly beautiful, the kind of beauty that surpasses even women!

Kenneth Osborne’s face is undeniably good-looking, with features so exquisitely matched that no one can compare, even better-looking than this man by a few degrees.

However, Kenneth’s good looks are an extreme form of masculine handsomeness, with absolutely no trace of femininity.

As for this middle-aged man’s good looks, no, it should be said he’s beautiful, it’s a kind of beauty that’s indistinct between male and female.

It feels like he only needs to put on a dress and he could immediately become a stunningly dazzling cross-dresser!

This is even while being a middle-aged man with the added charm of a mature man’s appeal.

If he were twenty or thirty years younger, the concept of ”trap” might just redefine public aesthetics.

Lawrence Winters clicked his tongue twice, withdrew his gaze, glanced at Kenneth with a smile, and said softly, ”Ken, I still prefer your looks.”

Kenneth glanced at her, ”If you’ve got the skill to flirt, do you have the skill... to flirt continuously?”

He originally wanted to say, ”If you’ve got the skill to flirt, do you have the skill to be my girlfriend,” but thinking of Lawrence Winters’ resistant attitude, he changed his words.

Lawrence quickly sat up straight, shook her head, and said, ”Nope... no skill... Ken, don’t mind me. I won’t say these flirty words anymore.”

She seemed to have gone a bit overboard.

Inwardly questioning herself, she knew she was indeed too casual with Kenneth.

If Kenneth were to get a proper girlfriend in the future, she sure would dislike her, and might even try to sabotage her friendship with Ken, like those villainous female characters.

Huh? No, why would she think of Ken’s proper girlfriend as a ”villainous female character”???

This line of thought is incorrect; she can’t be such a tease.

In fact, if Kenneth got a proper girlfriend, she would be the ”villainous female character”...

Huh? Still not right, how did she become the villainous female character?

If Ken got a proper girlfriend, she should be blessing them instead!

Lawrence shook her head, trying to toss out all the improper thoughts, deciding to keep some distance from Kenneth.

No matter how good the childhood friends, after growing up, some boundaries are necessary.

Lawrence felt a bit sad, thinking that neither her uncle nor her mom ever gave her any lessons in this regard!

They never told her to keep a certain distance from Kenneth after growing up, even though he has always been her best and only friend.

So, after entering the school and the real world, she’d been through the painful lessons from Lady Society.

Kenneth tilted his head to watch Lawrence, observing her change of expression for a while before slowly asking, ”...What’s up with you? Realizing it’s serious now?”

Lawrence snapped back, proudly lifted her chin, and said, ”Of course not, when have you ever seen me nervous? Besides, they invited me to inspect the work environment, it’s them who should be nervous!”

”Yes, you do carry quite the prestige. I see NewHuman Entertainment Ltd. from the Foster Consortium is very bold to have invited such a big shot in,” Kenneth teased leisurely.

As he finished the sentence, he caught someone glancing over at him out of the corner of his eye.

Kenneth instinctively followed his peripheral vision.

He also saw the middle-aged man in the black trench coat that Lawrence had been sneaking glances at earlier.

This man, even in middle age, had such a face...

Kenneth was good-looking from a young age, often praised and admired, so he wasn’t particularly fazed by good-looking people.

People always covet what they don’t have themselves.

For example, short people envy tall people, short guys often find taller wives, and tall guys often find shorter partners.

And that man’s face from across was a rare type that even Kenneth found very appealing, even giving a sense of being a fabulous cross-dresser.

At his age, to still possess such a naturally charming effect, it was just ridiculous...

The man quickly realized someone else was looking at him.

He lifted his gaze and swept it over, pausing on Kenneth’s face for a moment, then suddenly furrowed his brow.

Kenneth quickly retracted his gaze.

Although the man’s face seemed like a cross-dresser, his gaze was sharp and imposing.

It was the kind of aura developed from a long time in a high position.

Lawrence’s gaze darted between the middle-aged man and Kenneth a few times before she chuckled and gestured toward Kenneth, whispering, ”Ken, if that gentleman was born twenty years later, you’d have a real rival!”

Kenneth chuckled, reached up to pinch her cheek, ”Always talking nonsense! Do I look that feminine?”

”Not feminine at all! Not one bit!” Lawrence pushed his hand away, laughing, ”But that gentleman isn’t feminine either! — He’s just a fabulous cross-dresser!”

Kenneth then felt the middle-aged man’s brow furrow more tightly and lightly kicked Lawrence under the table.

Lawrence noticed something was wrong, and when she looked over again, the middle-aged man had already reclaimed his gaze, lifting the newspaper to cover his face again.

Did he hear that?

Lawrence squinted with a smile.

Kenneth pressed his lips together, glanced at her a bit seriously, and changed the topic, ”How much do you know about the Foster Consortium? Planning to start your first job here?”

Lawrence stirred her cappuccino with a small silver spoon, confidently said, ”You’ve asked the right person. Let me tell you, my uncle and I studied the top ten families on the national rich list.”

”The top five families have scarce information publicly available, hard to research, but the Foster Family only jumped to the fifth place last year, and before that, they had quite a feud with the Spencer Group.”

”While we were collecting information on the Spencer Group, we found a lot of interesting details about the Foster Consortium along the way.”

”Is that so? I’d love to hear more.” Kenneth feigned a listening posture.

The middle-aged man sitting diagonally from them, who had his face hidden behind the newspaper, also perked up his ears, curious about how much the stunningly beautiful young woman opposite him knew about the Foster Consortium.
