Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 154: Chapter 95: I Have So Much to Say to You (Third Update)

”Between Su Changfeng lying and Blake Leaf’s disabled adoptive parents lying, I think it’s more likely that Su Changfeng is lying.” Lawrence Winters sat in front of his computer, reading a professional book, typing as he spoke through his headset, ”Blake Leaf alerted them by acting too soon at Su Changfeng’s company. They were clearly prepared.”

”In the three days while Blake Leaf waited for the DNA test results, Su Changfeng herself, or someone she trusts, must have gone to City Y and arranged the adoption papers with Blake Leaf’s adoptive parents.”

”She can do that?! Isn’t that deceiving people? Isn’t it illegal?!”

”Of course it’s illegal. But as long as Blake Leaf’s adoptive parents don’t admit it, it’s legitimate,” Lawrence shrugged, ”And at this point, do you think Blake Leaf’s adoptive parents will give up on the son they raised with difficulty? They’ll definitely side with Su Changfeng...”

Triple Billion Sister was stunned for a long time, and let out a long sigh, ”What a pity, I thought Blake Leaf could inherit half of her sister’s fortune...”

”Is her sister very wealthy?”

”Extremely wealthy, made her fortune in commercial real estate.” Triple Billion Sister glanced at her freshly painted nails, ”I guess the initial real estate belonged to their parents.”

Lawrence Winters let out a chuckle, stopping his typing, ”Definitely. People do desperate things for wealth, much like birds for food; there’s nothing new under the sun.”

Triple Billion Sister was somewhat dissatisfied but didn’t want to show it. After a while, she said, ”Alright, the elevator’s here, I won’t talk to you any longer.”

After Triple Billion Sister hung up, Lawrence Winters found he couldn’t concentrate on his professional book anymore.

She took out her phone, feeling a strong urge to vent.

Previously, when she wanted to rant, she’d either find her uncle or Kenneth Osborne.

Her uncle recently took her mother back to River City to finalize business there and handle some real estate issues, so she didn’t want to bother him.

But Kenneth Osborne had blocked her.

Lawrence Winters opened Kenneth Osborne’s chat window on WeChat, staring at the huge red exclamation mark that appeared previously, she couldn’t help but send another sticker over.

This time it actually went through!

Lawrence Winters: ”!!!”

What’s going on here?!

She really had been blocked by Kenneth Osborne?!

Even money transfers didn’t work...

While she was staring at the chat window, not knowing what to do, Kenneth Osborne replied with a cold question mark?.

Lawrence Winters: ...

She didn’t know if she should reply or not.

Her fingers hovered, unsure of what to say, so she decided to send another sticker instead.

Kenneth Osborne was in his dorm staring at his phone. Lawrence Winters’ status was consistently ”Typing...”

But after waiting a full five minutes, it was still ”Typing...”

Was she writing a small essay?

Kenneth Osborne smirked, then simply sent a voice message over: [What’s wrong? Is there something up?]

Lawrence Winters, who had been engrossed in finding a sticker, let out a sigh of relief and sent over a pitiful-looking sticker, replying: ...You blocked me.

Kenneth Osborne: ...

[Nora]: Why’d you unblock me again?

After saying that, she transferred fifty thousand yuan to Kenneth Osborne again.

After the transfer, she quickly blocked him on WeChat.

Now Kenneth Osborne couldn’t return her money anymore.

And it also avenged her from being blocked by him before!

Lawrence Winters was someone who always repaid grievances.

Her mood quickly improved, so much so that she opened the food delivery app, planning on treating herself to a good meal tonight as a reward.

Kenneth Osborne saw the transfer of fifty thousand yuan and knew it was bad. As he was about to send a voice message saying he wouldn’t send it back, he found out he was blocked by her too.

The voice message simply couldn’t go through.

Kenneth Osborne rubbed his forehead, found Lawrence Winters’ phone number, and called her.

He had previously blocked Lawrence Winters’ number but secretly unblocked it yesterday, along with her WeChat and QQ.

Lawrence Winters was feeling smug, but when she saw Kenneth Osborne’s number, she was surprised, then quickly realized she had only blocked his WeChat, not his phone number.

”Damn, still a step too slow!” Lawrence muttered, but she still answered the call.

”Nora, I won’t send the money back anymore, you don’t need to block my WeChat,” Kenneth Osborne said helplessly.

Lawrence Winters pouted, ”But you blocked my WeChat before! Along with my phone and QQ! Baby knows everything, just doesn’t say it!”

Kenneth Osborne heard Lawrence Winters calling herself ”baby,” knowing she wasn’t too angry now, and chuckled lowly, ”I blocked you before because I didn’t want you to transfer money. —I never asked you to pay me back, why make such a big deal out of it?”

Although he blocked her first, he was the one feeling bad, wasn’t he?

Kenneth Osborne understood Lawrence Winters well; getting her to understand his feelings was harder than reaching the sky.

In the end, he had to concede first.

Lawrence Winters had transferred fifty thousand yuan, which was half of her savings over the years, and it was heart-wrenching.

”You didn’t ask me to pay back? But you always used that IOU to threaten me! I may hate parting with the money, but I hate being threatened more.” Lawrence complained, almost in tears.

That was fifty thousand! Fifty thousand yuan!

Kenneth Osborne was silent for a long time. He was just teasing her, only to find it made her unhappy.

It seemed that to this money-grubber, money was truly her Achilles’ heel...

Kenneth Osborne laughed softly, comforting her, ”Alright, it’s my fault, I shouldn’t have threatened precious Nora, you punish me, however you like, I won’t complain.”

”Really?!” Lawrence brightened up, she had been just about to gossip about Blake Leaf anyway, and Kenneth Osborne had delivered himself right to her doorstep.

She immediately said, ”Then take me out to eat, I don’t want cafeteria food, I want to go out, preferably somewhere with a private room.”

”Okay, I’ll come pick you up right now.” Kenneth Osborne’s moody heart turned sunny in an instant, ”Should we go somewhere further, or somewhere nearby the school?”

”Somewhere near the school is fine, the food’s secondary, I have loads to talk about!” Lawrence said as she packed up her things, ready to head downstairs.

Kenneth Osborne smiled, ”What a coincidence, I also have a lot to say to you.”
