Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 797: Chapter 353: Actually, This Isn’t So Bad (Part 2)

”Kunos does not wish for Wood Elves and High Elves to merge; he only wants to shut the door and be his own Divine King. Thus, only Aisha’s Divine Chosen, the ’Radiant Light’, High Elf Eternal Queen Ailarielle has the minimum communication with the Wood Elves.” The Lake Fairy’s soft part pressed gently against Laine’s arm, bouncing slightly: ”So don’t pin your hopes on Tygris; being able to draw Alaros in, plus the female prophet Lifer, is already remarkable.”

”Alright.”

After an hour of training, Surya slightly mastered the power of the Leonais Sword and the performance of the plate armor on her body. The female knight tried using a combat skill and immediately released a very powerful force, accidentally cutting down many of the herbs planted by the Lake Fairy. She had to stop halfway to apologize to the Lake Fairy, who smiled and forgave her.

When evening came, the three people’s activity zone shifted to the study. They played military chess together for a while. The Lake Fairy also gave Surya marriage and childbirth guidance, teaching her how to have healthy babies with Laine. When the time was about right, the Lake Fairy, with a strange smile on her face, left space for Laine and Surya, allowing the newlyweds to sleep in peace.

During the honeymoon, the couple always had endless things to talk about and do, and several days passed like this. What made Surya most shy was that the Lake Fairy always played a ”relay race” with her. Usually, the female knight was responsible for the first half, and after a halftime break, the Lake Fairy would possess the female knight’s body to take over the second half.

Surya was already a devout follower of the Lake Fairy. Despite feeling very shy and thinking she was letting Laine down, the female knight still felt these days were the happiest of her life. Her beloved husband and revered Goddess were both by her side, bringing double the joy.

In fact, the three of them being together like this was quite nice, the female knight secretly thought more than once.

But would the Lady agree?

......

Meanwhile, in the Old World, Aisloron Forest.

”Dong~ Dong~ Dong~ Dong~” An orderly High Elf army marched with sound steps through the forest.

Ancient giant trees towering up to the clouds covered the entire sky. All that could be seen were tree shades and a swath of greenery. Birds sang in the forest, reindeer bounded between woods, and occasionally one could see fish swimming happily with wagging tails in a clear spring. Huge Guiding Stones, imbued with dense magic power, lined the narrow forest paths where one could hardly see far. Under the guidance of Alaros and Lifer, the High Elf army advanced slowly.

”...Lord Tygris, there’s a very peculiar feeling here. In this place, the Magic Wind has severely deviated. This might explain why the first Eternal Queen was incredibly enchanted by this forest and why many Elf compatriots are unwilling to leave.” Hos Demon Swordsman Zoltan said beside Supreme Grandmaster Tygris: ”Yet I still feel... not very accustomed.”

Tygris’s face remained expressionless as he sensed the Magic Wind.

Generally speaking, the Great Vortex constructed the Demon Net. Before Calado the Dragon Tamer established the Great Vortex, all casters in the world directly used the Wind of Chaos to cast spells. After the establishment of the Great Vortex, casters’ magic had been weakened, and they could only use the Magic Wind filtered and neutralized by the Great Vortex to cast spells.

Chaos Demons were weakened; they found it difficult to easily enter the Prime Material World, but the power and magic of mortals were also weakened.

In Aisloron, however, Tygris felt a different Magic Wind.

Another Demon Net? A Demon Net constructed by the forest itself?

This Magic Wind was purer and more filled with vitality. As the Supreme Grandmaster tried to touch it slightly, he immediately understood that the Wood Elves did not rely on the Great Vortex Demon Net to cast spells but used an independent Demon Net built by the Era Oak.

Too independent, these compatriots were really too independent, though Tygris’s face showed no expression, his heart squeezed tightly; his confidence in persuading the Wood Elves dropped by another two points.

Seeing Tygris not speaking, Hos Demon Swordsman, somewhat disappointed, knew Zoltan’s admiration and reverence for Tygris meant he would not likely pursue or question the Supreme Grandmaster. So the Demon Swordsman turned his attention to the lush forest.

At this time, Zoltan noticed something unusual.

The deeper the High Elves walked into the forest, they found, not more luxuriant woods and thriving Wood Elf settlements, but rather withered dead trees, barren fields, and vast traces of decay. The earth was burning, forest spirits were weeping, and in the continuous drizzle, all Zoltan saw was withering and death. The Hos Demon Swordsman was shocked and instinctively asked: ”What... what’s going on?!”

The Heroic Alaros, clutching a long spear, with a large bow on his back, led a small number of Woodland Guards and Woodland Cavalry, guiding Tygris and his army. Upon hearing Zoltan’s words, Alaros simply replied: ”This is Anmir, the Withered Land.”

”The Withered Land?” Tygris also discovered this anomaly.

”Yes, the Withered Land, Lord Tygris, Eslelin has ten territories. From Winford, we must pass through the Withered Land and Starlight Furnace to reach the King’s Forest.” Alaros looked sadly at the forest withering and decaying in despair. He drew a feathered arrow and shot down a fat pus-filled pouch wriggling on a dead giant tree.
