Warhammer Divine Throne

The primarchs devoured their food ravenously, with all kinds of natural delicacies served plate by plate, quickly eaten clean by a few people. The table and the ground beneath were littered with bones. Vulcan and Clarkson discussed how to increase the now scarce offspring of their warband, while Magnus and Zhuangsen debated whether new Primaris Space Marines count as their offspring.

Zhuangsen’s opinion was that if the Emperor says they count, then they count. Magnus believed they would count if these warriors showed strong combat prowess.

”Cheers, Kiliman, you seem to be in good spirits.” Angerong raised a mug towards Kiliman and remarked, ”Among us, only you have the talent for governance, Father needs you as his aide.”

”The situation has worsened to the point of no return, the ’Great Rift’ has split the entire galaxy in two. Battles are breaking out everywhere. We hardly know what’s happening on the other side of the Great Rift. Only when Father displays his Supreme Power do we get some news.” Kiliman took a deep sip of Bagman Beer and sighed, ”We’ve brought Laine’s wedding gift, once the wedding is over, we’ll set off back to Terra the next day.”

”In such a rush?” Angerong was puzzled, ”Father has returned.”

”Battles are raging everywhere, we are needed everywhere.” Kiliman grimaced, ”Urgent reports are coming in from everywhere pleading for help, forces are stretched thin, Abaddon and his Black Legion dare not approach Terra after witnessing Father’s power, so they constantly linger around Cadian. We’ve temporarily formed an alliance with the Death God Army to jointly combat the endless Chaos Army. An unprecedented large army has gathered around Cadian, preparing to resist the next massive assault.”

”What about Damocles?” Angerong continued asking.

”The flames of war in the Damocles sector have ceased.” Kiliman turned his gaze to Zhuangsen: ”Leon and his men annihilated an entire fleet of Tita Star People, killing six frontline commanders sent by the Tita Race, forcing the Tita Star People to abandon their continued assault on Damocles. We have no interest in battling these scraps further, other places need Leon.”

”A bunch of scum, not a single one worth fighting.” Zhuangsen coldly remarked, ”A waste of time.”

”Hmm... what about the Space Undead and Tyranid Race, and the Eldar?” Angerong continued.

”We are currently cooperating with the Eldar... temporarily cooperating. Father has a ceasefire agreement with the Eldar Death God...” Kiliman frowned, ”However, there are many types of Eldar: Ark Eldar, Black Eldar, Eldar Pirates, Eldar Clowns, Eldar Death God Army, etc. Besides the Death God Army, we fight the other Eldar without hesitation.”

”Hey, damn it! Just chop them up and get it over with.” Angerong drank from a large bowl (cup), ate meat heartily, and shouted.

”Ahriman led the Thousand Sons Legion’s Red Letter Warriors to raid Fenris, the mother planet of Space Wolves.” Kiliman continued, ”Vulcan and Clarkson brought the Fire Salamander Warband and the Defense Army to defeat Ahriman... battles are breaking out elsewhere, but that’s not important. What worries me now is that the Space Undead are awakening en masse, and the Tyranid Race’s Leviathan Fleet tendrils are spreading everywhere, Armageddon has transformed into half a Demon World, located at Baal, the Holy Blood Angels chapter has sent desperate calls for aid. Were it not for Father sensing Dante’s plea for help, we might not have known the Blood Angels are facing such arduous trials.”

”I understand, you guys go about your business, leave this here to me and Laine.” Angerong knew the primarchs were needed everywhere and found it hard to argue any further.

”And Fugen!”

”Alright, alright, and that effeminate Fugen too.”

After a grand feast, the five primarchs were flushed with joy, especially Magnus, who imbibed heavily, the Primarch of the Son of a Thousand Wounds. At this moment, Vulcan and Clarkson were grilling fish, while Zhuangsen and Kiliman played a strategy board game.

This strategy board game was the Imperial tabletop war game Surya had gifted to Laine, featuring many miniature figurines on both sides, ranging from basic Imperial Swordsmen, Long Spear Soldiers, Archers, to Imperial Knights wielding Cavalry Lances, Bishops with Warhammers and shields, large Cannons, and Prince-Electors with Holy Swords around their waist, to the fully armed Emperor of the Empire.

Angerong had spent a considerable sum on several sets, often playing with the Imperial Guard.

He explained the rules of the game to everyone: ”Different soldiers have different capabilities, but their scores also differ, you need to assemble a 2000-point army and deploy it on the battlefield.”

”The Emperor of the Empire enjoys a 4+ special protection rule and can attack repeatedly. His Warhammer ’Gael-Malaz’ ignores enemy unit armor and allows a reroll of failed dice... You need to choose a mount for him... options include warhorse, armored warhorse, Pegasus, Griffin, or even a dragon.”

”I like this game.” Kiliman and Zhuangsen showed great interest in the tabletop strategy game, engaging in a fierce battle.

”Brothers, come and eat some fish.” Vulcan, over three meters tall, held seven or eight skewered grilled fish on iron rods, saying, ”Fish I grilled!”

”I... seasoning.” Clarkson said.

”They’re all my stuff!” Angerong shouted.

Everyone held a grilled fish, as Magnus began to drink heavily, shouting, ”We haven’t had this many primarchs gathered in a long time. Kiliman, do you remember? The last time we had so many primarchs together was over eleven thousand years ago, during the time at Ulanuo, do you remember?”

Kiliman was a bit dazed, ”Why are you bringing that up, brother?”

”I wasn’t there at the time, only you, Ruth, Motarian, Fugen were at Ulanuo! And Horus, that traitor!” Zhuangsen coldly said.

”I was there, I still remember what happened back then!” Vulcan loudly declared, ”Ah, such sweet memories, now recalling it makes me feel bitter... Magnus, why bring this up now?”

”I remembered that before the gathering at Ulanuo, we also had a gathering, and those two were there too...” Magnus slurred, ”You know what I’m talking about, heh heh heh~”

All the primarchs’ expressions changed drastically.

”Magnus!!!” Zhuangsen stood up, walked over to Magnus, and grabbed his throat: ”Father made us swear never to mention it, are you defying Father’s command?”

”I did nothing wrong, brother.” Magnus feigned innocence and spread his hands: ”I didn’t say who.”

”Hmph! They never existed, remember, Magnus.” Zhuangsen released Magnus, tossing him to the ground.

Magnus found himself in an awkward position. He wanted to continue mocking Zhuangsen, questioning whether those two really didn’t exist, whether his Dark Angels had any secrets, or whether the Second Empire truly didn’t exist.

Considering the explosive collar around his neck, Magnus ultimately decided to stay silent.

......

An hour later, everyone started to tour Angerong’s small house and its collection.

After several years of accumulation, Angerong’s collection was abundant, with specialties from all races across the Old World.

”Brother, I love your collection, can you give me some things?”

”Brother, this wine tastes great, I’m taking it.”

”Brother, you’ve stored a lot of coffee, I’m taking it.”

”Brother, I’m in the mood for beef.”

The primarchs began to unceremoniously empty Angerong’s storage room. Vulcan cleared out Angerong’s meat storage, Clarkson took away the various red wines Angerong cherished, Kiliman pillaged the high-quality coffee Angerong painstakingly imported from Tiriel, Magnus took all the barrels of Bagman Beer Angerong purchased from the Dwarves.

”Hey! You’re robbing me!?” Angerong shouted discontentedly, ”How can you do this?”

”Zhuangsen! Did Father send you to loot my storage room?” Seeing the primarchs ignoring him, Angerong had to complain to Zhuangsen.

The Primarch of the First Legion wore a face of hesitation, not understanding why his brothers looted Angerong’s storage room. They weren’t quite lacking these things, after all.

Yet everyone was doing it, so Zhuangsen felt it wouldn’t seem right if he did nothing.

Therefore, Zhuangsen walked alone to Angerong’s enclosure and picked up the wild buffalo shivering inside it.

”This one’s mine then.”
