Warhammer Divine Throne

PS: This chapter is 4700 words. I hope everyone enjoys it!

”I’m not Kazhoyin or Imrek, why would I catch you?” Tygris shook his head indifferently. ”Since Tymag has decided to exchange you for Prince Yelian, then you are free. Being a maid for Laine here is much better than going back to Naglos.”

”Tell Caladrean.” The Dark Elf spoke with intense disgust. ”Don’t let him appear in front of me, or I will definitely kill him.”

”... Kazhoyin spends about ninety-nine years of each century inside the Asuyan Holy Hall, never speaking, he is unlikely to appear before you. As for Imrek, how would the proud Prince Calado come to the Old World? I have no interest in your disputes, and I won’t tell anyone about you being here with Laine.” Tygris was implying: I won’t trouble you, so don’t bother me.

Ollica still wanted to say something, but Laine wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her behind him, signaling her to stop talking. The Dark Elf wanted to utter another harsh word, but seeing Laine’s displeasure, she remained silent.

”Interesting, when you were exchanged for Yelian, the Great Mage of the Hos White Tower should have cursed and destroyed your soul, leaving you permanently unable to cast spells, but it seems you’ve recovered.” Under Ollica’s hateful gaze, Tygris looked at her as if observing an ant. ”But even at your peak, so what? The power of the Pale Queen has long faded, and even you have been forced to convert to Kaine.”

”To deal with you, it doesn’t need to be so troublesome, just a dagger or a cup of poison will do.” The Dark Elf wanted to continue talking, but Laine called out unhappily, ”Ollica!”

”Hmph~ for the master’s sake, I’ll let you go this time.” Ollica pouted and leaned on Laine’s back, ”Master~ I hate him.”

”Alright, Ollica, enough.” Laine pulled Ollica along, feeling the cold yet slightly angry gaze of Mogiana. The Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy attempted to change the subject: ”Prince Yelian? I don’t think I’ve heard of his name.”

”Prince Yelian, the son of Phoenix King Finuba,” Tygris led the way, explaining, ”Prince Yelian unfortunately got into trouble during an expedition, ending up all the way in Marinburg. The Asur envoy in Marinburg, Tymag-Den-Kaben, decided to exchange this Dark Elf for Prince Yelian, clearly Marinburg’s merchants would prefer a female Dark Elf.”

”Finuba’s son? Was he born by Eternal Queen Ailarielle?” Laine asked with interest.

”... No, he was born by His Majesty Finuba and a princess from the Ariel Kingdom. His Majesty Finuba and Her Majesty Ailarielle... seldom meet except for major events...” Speaking of this, Tygris, usually composed, was suddenly very awkward, a rare blush showing on his previously indifferent face.

Among the High Elves, everyone knew Tygris’ brother, Terion, and the Eternal Queen were partners and lovers. The two had been inseparable and had an intimate relationship long before Finuba ascended the throne.

However, according to the law of the High Elves, each Phoenix King and Eternal Queen must be legally wed, so Finuba and Ailarielle still held a wedding. After the wedding, Ailarielle continued to live with Terion and never spent the night at the Phoenix Royal Court.

Despite everyone being well-aware, speaking of it was still very embarrassing, quite so, and Tygris, as a brother, felt even more uncomfortable discussing it.

Tygris couldn’t lie, so he had to be vague: ”Prince Yelian grew up in the Phoenix Royal Court, but he’s always lived in Terion’s shadow. He openly challenged His Majesty Finuba’s diplomatic policies, believing the Asur were destined to conquer the world, not to engage in meaningless diplomacy with lower races. The court nobles considered this perspective likely influenced by the Dragon Princes from Calado; with high external expectations and radical views from the Dragon Princes, Yelian gradually turned gloomy and resentful.”

”Yelian is, after all, Finuba’s eldest son. He initially served in the Sea Guard of Lothern, studied under the Hos Sword Saint and Elder Calado, becoming an excellent naval general, and also formed a bond with a giant dragon within Calado Volcano, fighting together.”

”Dragon Princes are always so captivating, having a giant dragon mount is every warrior’s dream.” Laine smiled; he didn’t intend to ask further, knowing when to stop.

At this moment, they reached the Lake Fairy Tower. Lilith the Lake Fairy, wearing a hawthorn red evening gown tonight, had a bright smile: ”Dear Tygris, you’ve arrived? And Laine, Mogiana, Ollica, come in quickly, I’ve prepared a sumptuous dinner.”

”Praise to you, Lilith, may the light of the Moon God forever bless the Asur.” Tygris bowed respectfully, then paid homage to the Lake Fairy with a High Elf salute: ”My guide, my light.”

”Your words are so pleasant, Tygris, but they won’t help you form an orderly alliance or grant you greater power. Your praise can only bring more joy to this banquet; I hope you and Laine relish this moment, it will be a wonderful memory for you.” The Lake Fairy deliberately glanced at the silent, smiling Laine, noticing no change in his expression, then she turned to head inside the tower.
