Warhammer Divine Throne

”Surya... Madam, hello, congratulations on your wedding.” Teresa, dressed in a deep brown dress with dark leaf patterns and hollow designs, also stood up, somewhat dejected and disappointed, forcing a smile.

”I admire your courage. I’ve seen all you’ve done for Laine. You might not be great at expressing your feelings with words, but that’s okay. I acknowledge you. You can also choose one set from the nine sets of jewelry as my gift to you.”

”Thank you, thank you.” Despite a bit of reluctance, Teresa, the female sorcerer, had to admit that if she were in Surya’s place, she wouldn’t be as graceful and calm. Now that the matter is settled, and Surya has half-publicly recognized her position, it’s already quite good. She felt no more resentment and raised her glass, ”Let us drink this cup to the fullest.”

Next, Ollica and Amelia both received toasts from Surya and were also granted the right to choose a set of jewelry. As for Mogiana, Surya simply toasted her, and the Lake God Witch calmly responded in kind.

Meanwhile, Laine was toasting with his godfather, Griffin Duke Ivan, and his sworn brother Anton: ”Godfather, thank you for attending my wedding despite your busy schedule.”

”I really don’t know what kind of monster I’ve cultivated.” Ivan exclaimed with an ’oh,’ as he could feel that Laine’s current strength was not inferior to his, with his only advantage being experience.

Frankly speaking, Ivan knew that if he faced the King of Skalings, ”Red Eye” Egil, he wouldn’t immediately be defeated, but he also wasn’t confident of certain victory. Laine being able to defeat Egil was already a significant statement.

This left Ivan with mixed feelings. From a godfather’s perspective, he was certainly pleased with having such an outstanding godson. However, as a major noble of the Empire with military power, Ivan couldn’t help but be somewhat wary of Laine, an important figure in a neighboring allied nation, which made his expression quite complex: ”I hope there will never be a day where we become enemies. If that day comes, I will certainly give my all on the battlefield and then hang you from my griffin’s tail.”

”The same goes for me. I promise I will defeat you and then tie you to my saddle!” Laine retorted unabashedly.

”Hehehe, in any case, congratulations on your wedding.” The Griffin Duke nodded, privately pulling Laine aside, saying, ”I heard from Lord Tygris that you would be visiting the Empire around the Winter Festival?”

”I’ll set off after finishing my honeymoon,” Laine replied quietly.

”I’ll be waiting for you in Brunswick then.”

”Alright.”

After toasting at the small internal table, Mr. and Mrs. Laine slowly came out, toasting all the guests seated outside one by one.

The first to receive a toast was Tygris, who held the highest status, had the greatest reputation, and the most power. Laine and Surya proactively approached with their wine glasses raised: ”Supreme Grandmaster of the High Elves~”

”Welcome, Lord Tygris, we are greatly honored to have you at our wedding.” The female knight also added.

”Congratulations on your wedding, Laine Macado.” Tygris stood up with his glass, his expression impassive but with a hint of wariness in his gaze: ”I will be heading to the King’s Forest in Aisloron next, and once you’ve finished your honeymoon, we’ll prepare to set out for the Empire.”

”Certainly.”

Then came the Wood Elf and the Dwarf, who didn’t have much to talk about with Laine. They simply offered a brief congratulation, and after the toast, the Wood Elf quickly withdrew, while the Dwarfs began to eat and drink heartily.

”Count Laine Macado, on behalf of Emperor Karl Franz, I extend congratulations to you and Marchioness Surya on your wedding!” At this time, Biersaze Gaert, the Great Alchemist of the Imperial Royal Wizard Academy, actively toasted.

”Thank you very much, Great Alchemist, for gracing my wedding.” Laine was a little puzzled. He had intended to first seek out the representative of the Knight King, Duke Lorne, but since Gaert took the initiative, he couldn’t refuse.

”Without Him there is nothing, The Emperor knows, the Emperor is watching!” The Great Alchemist whispered to Laine with a strange metallic scraping sound.

Laine instinctively nodded, then realized something, widening his eyes: ”You’ve already met ’Him’?”

”His greatness is undeniable; only His existence is our sole salvation.” After saying this, Gaert turned and walked away, no longer engaging with Laine.

”What was he talking about? The Emperor of the Empire?” asked the exquisitely dressed Surya, curious about her husband: ”Or Charlemagne?”

”He said that we share the same position, fighting against all external enemies for humanity.” Laine replied.

”Why did he have to say that at our wedding?” The female knight was somewhat displeased, thinking this was their wedding; this Great Alchemist really had no sense of occasion, did he?

”It seems this was his only opportunity to talk to me.” Laine smiled and left it at that.

”Laine, in the name of the Lady, I wish you a happy wedding.” The Griffin Duke nodded and took Laine aside privately, saying, ”I heard from Lord Tygris that you will be going to the Empire around the Winter Festival?”

”I’ll head over after my honeymoon,” Laine replied softly.

”I’ll meet you in Brunswick then.”

”Sure.”

After toasting each table inside, Laine and his wife slowly came out and offered toasts to all the guests sitting outside, one by one.

The first to be toasted was the most esteemed, renowned, and powerful of all, Tygris. Laine and Surya approached with their wine glasses raised: ”Supreme Grandmaster of the High Elves~”

”Welcome, Lord Tygris; it is a great honor for us to have you at our wedding.” The Marchioness also extended her greeting.

”I wish you a happy marriage.” Tygris raised his glass, stood up, his face impassive, but there was a hint of wariness in his eyes. ”I will be heading to Aisloron next.”

”Are you going to Aisloron with His Majesty Richard?” Surya asked with interest.

”No...with Jules...it’s convenient for him...” Tygris replied cryptically and ordered his deputy to inquire about the details of the journey.

The couple continued their toasting rounds, extending their well-wishes to the guests seated outside, starting with those of the highest status, names renowned, strength at its finest, like Tygris, moving on to others in sequence.

The next to receive a toast were Grand Alchemist Biersaze and Duke Hagen of Jisoleox. The Great Alchemist declined a separate meeting, stating, ”The opportunity to speak with you came only because of this chance.”

”Lorne, are you joining the Empire again?” asked the Griffin Duke after quietly conversing with the bridegroom.

”I will embark after spending my honeymoon.” Laine nodded, ending the brief conversation.

The wedding celebration continued with the cutting of a large five-tiered cake that was shared among all. With this final ceremony, their grand wedding came to a close.
