Warhammer Divine Throne

Being advised by Clark the Harsh, this is the supreme honor for a Rune Artisan!

It’s well known that the number of Dwarf Rune Craftsmen is already few, these living priceless treasures bridge the present and the last rune knowledge of the deceased Golden Era of the Dwarves. Many powerful war runes and enchanting runes have been lost, simply because those Rune Artisans felt there was no one worthy of teaching.

These rune knowledge and techniques have thus gradually dwindled until completely forgotten. People can only find fragments of strong runes from those scroll records. Rune Artisans never can and won’t be forced. Over the long years, the power of rune magic has made them increasingly stubborn, only those whom they deem qualified can learn this profound knowledge of rune magic.

Now, the President of the Dwarf Rune Craftsmen Association, Clark the Harsh, is actually willing to give some pointers to him, how could this not make Delong Feinson ecstatic?

”Leave, humans, give me three days, I will naturally craft the weapon you desire.” Clark the Harsh, seeing Laine and Angerong still standing at the door not leaving, said impatiently: ”Leave now, immediately, or this deal is off!”

”Alright, alright, we’re leaving.” Laine shrugged helplessly and straightforwardly pulled Angerong outside: ”Let’s go, brother.”

”Alright.” Angerong muttered: ”I was planning to see if the Dwarves would have some sort of ritual praising Omnesia before crafting weapons or something.”

”Isn’t that machinery, not blacksmithing? Dwarves should praise the Glarni Main God.”

”Close enough, close enough.”

In the end, Angerong was pulled out of the Blacksmith Workshop by Laine, the bright sunlight shone on Count Glamorgan’s domain. The summer atmosphere was surging higher and higher, the clear river water gurgled, and the two strolled leisurely by the Xinong River, chatting lightly.

”Brother, want a sip?” Angerong took off the water jug from his waist, which held Bagman Beer he bought from the Dwarves. This dark beer and Kislev Vodka were Angerong’s favorite types of alcohol; he also liked mead and Brittania Brandy.

”Smells great.” Laine took the jug and gulped it down, the rich, long-lasting flavor and refreshing stimulus of the Bagman Beer made him squint his eyes comfortably.

”Brother, you know Dwarves are vengeful, make sure you watch out. They’ll definitely jot down your actions in a little book and pull it out to look at when they’re idle, then get so angry their teeth itch.” After a sip of dark beer, Laine handed the jug back to Angerong, he said with a smile: ”Do you know the story of the two and a half Gold Coins?”

”Two and a half Gold Coins story?” Angerong took the jug and drank a big sip, burping contentedly: ”Never heard of it, what’s the story, is it related to the Dwarves?”

”About ninety-five years ago, the Prince-Elector of Ostmark and the Dwarf Kingdom reached an agreement,” Laine narrated a story: ”The Grand Duke of Ostmark and Prince-Elector of Beikafen planned to build a sufficiently strong castle in the Ostmark Province for guarding against potential invasions from the Northern Chaos Tribes. The Prince-Elector chose to entrust this grand project to the Dwarves, both sides agreed on a price, and the Dwarves began construction.”

”It took roughly two years; the Dwarves built an extremely defensive castle named Krieghoff. This castle guarded the main road between Beikafen and the Kislev Kingdom. After inspection, the Prince-Elector was very satisfied and began issuing the project funds.”

”The funds were packed into one hundred and forty-four small handcarts and sent to the Dwarves. Initially, this should have concluded the matter. However, when the Dwarves counted the money, they found it was short two Gold Coins and fifty Silver Coins from the agreed payment.” Laine recounted here with a mix of laughter and tears: ”The Dwarves were thus enraged; they personally sent someone to the Ostmark Province capital Beikafen, demanding the Prince-Elector provide an explanation.”

”Oh my.” Angerong already knew what happened, he covered his face with his hand, unable to face it directly.

”The Prince-Elector did not take the Dwarves’ inquiry seriously. He casually remarked that perhaps there was damage during transportation, insisting his payment was accurate and he bore no responsibility.” Laine continued to finish the story: ”Seeing the Prince-Elector refuse to provide an explanation, this angered the Dwarves. Hence, the Dwarves assembled an army from Karak Kadrin, which stormed the newly built Krieghoff castle. They razed the castle to the ground, furiously declaring this was the cost of deceiving the Dwarves!”

”Finally, facing the Dwarf Army’s siege, the Prince-Elector had to hand over the ’balance’ of two Gold Coins and fifty Silver Coins. Only then did the Dwarves withdraw their troops. The outcome was the castle was gone, the garrison lost, and the money vanished – it was truly a loss of both people and wealth.”

”Hahaha! I truly admire this, are these Dwarves really that vengeful?” Angerong laughed heartily, shaking his head repeatedly: ”Alright then, whatever the Dwarves say goes.”

”Hahaha~” The two walked along the road, continually laughing.

Soon after leaving, Laine’s Kingdom Knight Hex arrived on horseback: ”Count!”

”What’s wrong?” Laine raised his head, looking at the sweaty knight.

”A large group of High Elves has arrived in Gene Town, asking for you by name!” Hex’s forehead was sweaty.

”Alright, I’m on my way.” Laine thought Tygris had arrived and turned: ”Brother, want to come along and have a look?”
