Warhammer Divine Throne

The dessert’s making process was quite complicated; Laine didn’t expect the Lake Fairy to prepare it herself.

”Is it delicious?” The Lake Fairy’s smile was bright, with a hint of joy on her face.

”Very delicious.” The newlywed couple expressed their satisfaction.

”That’s good.” Seeing Laine and Surya enjoying it, the Lake Fairy was very happy.

Right by the fireplace, the three of them finished the apple pie together. Laine felt a bit awkward, but the female knight was delighted by the Lake Fairy’s presence. To her, the Lake Fairy was a deity she worshipped, and she had arranged such a good marriage for her, so she was especially grateful, harboring reverence... and a bit of shyness.

The Lake Fairy was also very warm towards the female knight, pulling her aside to chat. It seemed, at first glance, that the atmosphere inside the tower was harmoniously warm, with the three of them together being very amicable, without any sense of strangeness.

Only Laine’s face was not looking too good; he had started to understand what the Lake Fairy intended.

After simply finishing breakfast, the Lake Fairy stood up: ”Come with me; I have something to give Surya.”

On the way upstairs, the clacking sound of the Lake Fairy’s and Surya’s heels echoed. The tower was luxuriously decorated; even the corners of the stairs were meticulously refurbished. High Elf styled large lights and red carpets covered the floor. Looking at the paintings on the walls, Laine suddenly asked, ”My Lady, have they all left?”

”They have all left, your brothers, your foster parents, and even your godfather.” Walking in front, the Lake Fairy’s full form was bouncing playfully, reflecting light: ”Tygris has also set out for the King’s Forest, preparing to meet the King of the Forest Olein and Queen Airel, with ’Heroic’ Alaros and Female Prophet Lifer leading the way.”

”In such a hurry?” Laine pondered how likely Tygris’s success might be, but whichever way he thought, it shouldn’t be high.

”It’s inconvenient to delay any further; it’s already deep autumn, and winter is about to set in.” The Lake Fairy led Laine and Surya through the corridor: ”Once winter comes, Olein and Airel will walk into the fire and turn into ash. If Tygris doesn’t set off now, he would have to wait until next summer to meet them.”

Surya, newly wed, was in a state of shyness and still harbored some longing for a beautiful future. She didn’t pay much attention to the Lake Fairy’s casual mention of Tygris. Curious, she asked: ”My Lady, what is Lord Tygris, the Supreme Grandmaster and an excellent diplomat, going to Aisloron for?”

”He hopes to ally with the Wood Elves and gain their assistance... In my opinion, the chances are slim, but attempting it doesn’t harm.” The Lake Fairy wanted to discuss this further with Laine, but considering her true identity, which was inconvenient for Surya to know, she glossed over: ”The Wood Elves are too reclusive, but their power truly is formidable.”

”Father always warned me not to approach the Wood Elf’s forest; once, a Duke saw a vision and entered the Aisloron Forest during the Winter Festival, only to disappear for seven hundred years. When he came out, he claimed only a few days had passed, and then rapidly aged to dust within three hours.” Surya was thoughtful, the female knight said to Laine: ”Laine, you must not enter the forest lightly.”

”I understand.” Laine and Surya followed behind the Lake Fairy as they entered a large room.

This room, unlike others in the tower, was exceedingly spacious, with not much furniture inside. Instead, a large open space was left in the center, where a Knight’s Sword emitting light was suspended on a rack in the middle of the room.

That was the gift the Lake Fairy intended to give to Surya—the Leonais Sword.

”Laine’s father has already given you a full set of armor and several sets of jewelry... so I will give you this sword.” The Lake Fairy reached out and took this sword from the stand, holding the hilt with her sleeve rolled up.

”Clang~!” The sharp sword was unsheathed, surrounded by golden flames, radiating divine light from the Lake God, filling the entire room. The Lake Fairy gestured for Surya to step forward to receive the sword: ”This is the Leonais Sword, once the sword of Duchess Huameisi of Leonais. Now, I present it to you, Surya, hoping you will make good use of it.”

”Yes! My Lady!” Surya did not refuse; she accepted the sword and then wanted to kneel on one knee to show obedience. However, the Lake Fairy took her arm proactively, whispering in her ear: ”No need to kneel, no need, Surya. I really like you, you won’t have to kneel in front of me in the future, after all, we are already...”

”Hmm...” The female knight suddenly recalled last night’s events, her face turning completely red, nearly fainting on the spot. Laine quickly held his lovely wife in his arms, giving the Lake Fairy a displeased look.

The Lake Fairy turned away unconcerned: ”Come, Laine, Surya, let’s prepare lunch.”

......

At noon, the three gathered around a small table, ordering a hotpot. In such snowy weather, watching snow by the fireside had its unique charm. Against the white snow outside, the Lake Fairy recounted the story of Duchess Huameisi of Leonais.

About five hundred years ago, Brittania, like a few months ago, suffered a great wave of Chaos invasion. The Knight King led a Knight Army to battle and fell, the capital Crona was besieged, and Chaos Raiders plundered everywhere, burning everything.
