Chapter 773: Chapter 342, Deals, Everywhere Deals (Part 1)_2

”Yes! Father, it’s indeed very vast here.” Laine rode on his pure-blooded Elf Warhorse, smiling at Norman.

Helunhilde is established at the source of the Xinong River, in the middle of the valley. During autumn, the refreshing autumn wind blew through the group, and the clear river water of Xinong River flowed with a pleasant sound. The majestic castle and the family shield on the tall city gate all narrated the ancient history of the Antre Family.

The ”Pure White Pegasus” family emblem wore the ducal crown, signifying the noble status of Laine’s future wife. The country bumpkin Norman from Nord felt somewhat abashed; the lord from Nord only had a small castle, dozens of attendants, and a small piece of territory. Now, Laine’s marriage partner was from such a glorious and historically rich family, making Norman quite uneasy.

The houses in the city were all built of bricks and stones, with white walls and red tops. The dense crowd and the vehicles coming and going made this city prosperous and vibrant with vitality. The season was autumn, and the city had its charm amidst the withered branches and fallen leaves.

Laine, along with his foster parents, Lake God Witch Mogiana, Steward Kasenberg, and Boris, came to Helunhilde. In addition, the King of Eight Peaks Belgar and Dwarf Engineer Dugen the Ironman also arrived. Belgar, who had long been reluctant to show himself, heard about Laine’s visit to Helunhilde and pretended that he wanted to meet Laine again. They could embark on a pleasant journey together, and the powerful King of Eight Peaks could ensure the safety of their party.

Laine simply laughed, agreeing decisively.

As for Tygris, he continued to stay in Laine’s territory to continue teaching Magic to the two witches, thus Veronica and Teresa also stayed behind. Little Maid Amelia was unwilling to follow Laine out, and Laine did not force her.

Laine had long heard about what Belgar did in his territory—this King of Eight Peaks constantly watched his army and knights train, endlessly taking notes with a small notebook, especially the knights and Knight’s Squires’ training. Belgar seldom missed a session and even made many plastic figures for simulations.

Dugen mentioned that Belgar was somewhat satisfied with the strength of Brittania Knights, originally saying, ”barely passable.”

The group gradually approached the castle, and Boris Prince-Elector observed Helunhilde, roughly saying, ”I have to say, White Wolf City remains the largest and most beautiful city in the Old World, but this city isn’t bad.”

The walls of the Duke’s castle, towering and imposing, along with numerous spired towers, formed the inner and outer three-layer structure of Helunhilde Castle. The square Main Castle was at the center, flanked by six gigantic conical corner towers. In front of the Main Castle was a thirty-meter-high Pure White Pegasus statue.

”Here↑” Laine raised an arm, introducing to everyone: ”Francois said we’ll enter through the main gate.”

”If you ask me, though this castle is built big and beautiful, its defensiveness is too weak compared to us Dwarves; it doesn’t look sturdy.” Belgar babbled: ”Too focused on aesthetics, like the Sharp Ears’ fault.”

”I think so too.” The Grand Master of the White Wolf Knight Order Axel echoed. This bearded Grand Master roughly said, ”I’ve heard Ivan has arrived too?”

”Not just Ivan, the Great Alchemist Biersaze Gaert has also arrived.” Laine said softly, ”In the afternoon, let’s have a good talk.”

”It should be so.”

Laine and Mogiana, Boris, and others naturally received Francois’s warm reception upon arrival. Laine also saw his godfather Ivan; the Griffin Duke patted his shoulder without saying much; Ivan was equally proud of his godson. But now was not the time for reminiscing; Laine was already a Brittania noble, while Ivan represented the Empire across the mountain.

Just settled in, a negotiation between both parties was held in the conference room of Helunhilde.

Participants from Brittania included Duke Fulcard of Montfort, Duke Casvan of Paragon, Duke Francois of Winford, Duke Bohemond of Bastogne, Count Glamorgan Lane, Lake God Witch Mogiana, and the belated Duke Boldro Bodrick.

From the Empire, there were Griffin Duke Ivan, Boris Prince-Elector, Grand Master Axel of the White Wolf Knight Order, and Great Alchemist Biersaze Gaert.

In addition, King Belgar of Eight Peaks participated in this meeting as the envoy of Breeze Castle.

The first subject of bargaining involved Dwarves. Sitting in the middle, Francois first said, ”After consulting Fulcard, Casvan, and Bohemond, we believe the Dwarf Kingdom’s history of thriving in the Gray Mountain Range is much older than that of humans. Therefore, we are willing to acknowledge the existence of Breeze Castle and its legitimacy as one Dwarf Kingdom, hoping to sit down jointly with Breeze Castle Dwarves and the Empire to negotiate, sign a ceasefire agreement, define boundaries, and restore peace.”

”The Empire is willing to be impartial.” Griffin Duke Ivan and Boris Prince-Elector both nodded.

”Agreed!” ”Agreed!”

The attendees raised their hands to vote.

This was a rare opportunity for Brittania to negotiate with the Breeze Castle Dwarves.
