Warhammer Divine Throne

In the dining room of the Lake Fairy Tower, a table full of dishes was ready, most of which were High Elf food, each a delicate small dish, with seven dishes and one soup, all appealing in color, aroma, and taste.

At the dining table, the Lake Fairy entertained the attendees and then said, ”It’s really rare, Tygris. I often meet with Laine in the Mortal World, but I seldom have the chance with you.”

”It wasn’t until I saw your figure that I completely understood why you made Laine your Divine Chosen Champion.” Tygris first looked at the Lake Fairy and then at Laine, feeling very surprised: ”Laine is the channel of communication with the Mortal World, and Divine Power transits through Laine, allowing your body to move freely between the Mortal World and the Divine Kingdom!”

”Exactly, with Laine, I can freely travel between the Prime Material World and the Divine Kingdom, no longer restrained by the Great Guardian and bound by the Great Vortex~” The Lake Fairy smiled charmingly, sharing this secret with Tygris.

Laine’s hands didn’t stop using the silver knife and fork, but in his mind, he contemplated the causes and consequences.

Undoubtedly, what the Lake Fairy most wanted to see was the harmony between him and Tygris, so she eagerly shared her secret of descending effortlessly with Tygris.

Mogiana, without a doubt, was also a confidante of the Lake Fairy. Although she was severely injured and lost the Potion Chalice due to an ambush, she was still Lilith’s ”Lake Fairy” as the First Divine Chosen, and in some sense, Mogiana had already been ”given” to Laine by the Lake Fairy, so her presence was also quite normal.

Then why was the Dark Elf Ollica also allowed by the Lake Fairy to be present?

The High Elves were indeed very proud, and under such thorough arrogance, High Elves rarely deceive humans. So what could High Elves trade Ollica, who was used in exchange for the Phoenix King’s eldest son...

”Master?” Ollica noticed Laine looking at her, and she smiled strangely: ”What’s up?”

”Nothing.” Laine smiled mysteriously. Ollica had voluntarily accepted the Spirit Rune Imprint, making it unlikely for the Dark Elf to betray him. Everyone has their secrets, and it was obvious that Ollica might have reached some agreement with the Lake Fairy, who was trying to draw her into her small circle.

Silver tableware clanged, and bright candlelight and the light from the Magic Lamp illuminated the dining room. The dinner personally prepared by the Lake Fairy was, of course, delicious. More importantly, Laine could feel the Lake Fairy’s sincerity and genuine approach towards him and Tygris.

As for Laine himself, he wouldn’t be where he was now, from a White Wolf Knight to the Count Glamorgan, without the help of the Lake Fairy. The Empire’s promotion system was too difficult to climb. Laine might have had to spend another twenty years of experience to reach the core of the White Wolf Knight Order, becoming a Great Noble with Viscount status or higher on military merit.

If that were to happen, everything would be too late.

Tygris was equally honored with the Lake Fairy’s genuine care. Back then, Tygris was a chronically ill, emaciated, frail person who relied on drinking various potions to sustain his life. Even though he had amazing Magic Talent, the Elf’s God of Wisdom, Hos, did not favor him. It was the Lake Fairy who intervened to shelter Tygris and even offered her Magic Staff for Tygris’ use.

This indicates two points: First, the Lake Fairy had always been sincere towards her capable subordinates.

Second, the Lake Fairy had limited options and could only choose those left over by others or take others’ assets.

”Laine? I feel like you are thinking about rather inappropriate things.” At this moment, the conversation at the table paused, and the Lake Fairy, with a face marred by dark energy, spoke to Laine: ”Are you listening?”

”My Lady, I was pondering, since both Tygris and I are here, where is the ’Heroic’ Alaros? He was once your favored Champion.” Laine quickly shifted the conversation.

The Lake Fairy, with her enchanting, stunning appearance, looked somewhat taken aback. She wondered why Laine would mention Alaros at this moment.

”... Alaros has become the Divine Chosen Champion of the Wood Elf Queen Airel. He obviously did not understand my intentions and demands. What’s the point of me seeing him in this situation?” The Lake Fairy took a few seconds to ponder, finally giving a relatively conventional answer.

Alaros was once chosen by the Lake Fairy as her future companion because Alaros’ bloodline held the potential to become a god. Unfortunately, Alaros was excessively enchanted by her beauty, completely misunderstanding her intentions and demands, resulting in a missed connection with the Goddess and becoming the Divine Chosen Champion of Airel.

Now, the Lake Fairy had long shifted her focus. If Alaros had the potential to become a god, then Laine’s essence was that of a god, and he had already grown to the extent of being a contender against the Chaos Four Gods as a Divine Chosen Champion. The power behind him was merely a fraction revealed, which already satisfied the Lake Fairy. This was what she wanted, this was who she was interested in, so she did not wish to upset Laine over anything related to Alaros, especially during this sensitive time.

Before Laine could speak, Tygris raised an objection: ”Lilith, we can’t think like that. Alaros has become Airel’s Divine Chosen Champion, but as soon as you meet him, Alaros would certainly be willing to give everything for you. The ’Heroic’ Alaros is an excellent warrior who once defeated the Holy Sanctuary Beast King ’Shadow Demon’ Mogul; he controls an elite Wood Elf Legion! We need such an ally.”
