Chapter 2617: Chapter 2618: Return to Tianyun (184)

Might as well accompany her to the underworld, at least there’s company, at least we’re still together.

That’s what Taoming Ye thought.

Su Xing looked up, crying as she scolded him, ”You say you’re not persuading me, but you’re forcing me, worse than my parents and second brother! You know how much I treasure you, and yet you’re like this!”

Taoming Ye said nothing, just gently helped her wipe away her tears.

Su Xing also stopped speaking, crying for a while longer before finally, exhausted from crying, she fell asleep in his arms.

Taoming Ye didn’t sleep. He just kept his head down, watching her tear-stained sleeping face. His slender fingers touched her face without really touching, gently tracing the tracks of her tears.

His eyes were deep and profound.

In his heart he murmured, ”I’m not forcing you. That is truly what I think.” I’ve decided that if something happens to you, I’ll accompany you in death.

...

On the other side, Mrs. Cao learned from Tao Chengyin that the child in Su Xing’s belly couldn’t be kept and would have to be aborted, and she was quite gleeful.

When she was alone in the room, she chuckled softly, ”Haier, their child is soon going to accompany you, I’ll also send them down to accompany you as soon as possible, rest assured.”

...

The next day, Su Xing woke up with eyes swollen like walnuts. She didn’t bother to reduce the swelling and after having breakfast with Taoming Ye, she silently went back to bed.

Taoming Ye didn’t join her on the bed, but sat on a chair by the bed, keeping her company.

Tao Mingsheng, Tao Mingxiang, Tao Mingqing, Tao Mingfang, and the three concubines of Tao Chengyin all heard about it and came to visit Su Xing.

But Su Xing, feeling unwell, didn’t see them and instead let Taoming Ye receive them.

Hong Ye and Ru Song tried to persuade Su Xing to abort the child, but Su Xing drove them out, not allowing them to serve in the room.

Taoming Ye did not try to persuade Su Xing further, he just sat by the bed, accompanying her.

Two days passed like this.

Taoming Ye could sit quietly on this side, but over at the Royal Palace, An Jing and the others couldn’t sit still. Seeing that there was no news from Taoming Ye’s side, An Jing and the others came to the Tao Mansion to persuade Su Xing again.

When Su Xing saw them coming, she asked Taoming Ye to go entertain them, locking herself inside the room, not letting them in.

Seeing Su Xing lock the door from inside, Taoming Ye first gave An Jing and the others an apologetic look, and then said, ”Please don’t persuade her anymore, anyone who tries makes her cry, and it was so hard to get her to stop crying.”

An Yiqing immediately showed his displeasure, ”How can we not persuade her, it’s a matter of life and death! We can’t just stop persuading because she cries! Why is she so stubborn about a child that can’t survive, not considering herself, not considering you, and not considering all of us!”

An Jing pulled An Yiqing, ”Qinger, calm down, Míngyè is also doing this for Xin’er’s sake.”

An Yiqing said, ”If he really cared for Xin’er, he should persuade her to take the abortion medicine as early as possible! If anything happens because she didn’t abort, see if I’ll let him off!”

Inside the room, Su Xing heard An Yiqing speaking about her husband this way and was unhappy. She got up and came down, opened the door and stood protectively in front of her husband, shouting at An Yiqing, ”It’s I who don’t want to abort the child, if something happens blame me, why be hard on my husband! Don’t think I won’t hold it against you just because you’re my brother, and don’t think you can do this just because you claim it’s for my own good, it’s not you carrying the child, aborting doesn’t make your heart ache, does it? Huh?!”
