Chapter 2606: Chapter 2607: Return to Tianyun (173)

In his heart, her status was extraordinary. Now that the muddle-headed one had already made mistakes and was gone, it was indeed deserved. He could accept this, but his heart was still truly pained.

The day Taoming Hai was beheaded, Tao Chengyin fell ill. It was a heart illness, and after being sick for several days, not feeling as bad, Tao Chengyin slowly recovered and resumed his duties at the Ministry of Rites.

Ever since Taoming Hai was captured by the Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Cao fell ill. Now that Taoming Hai was beheaded, Mrs. Cao’s condition worsened, but with the resolve to avenge her son, she slowly regained her spirit.

She was determined to kill Su Xing and Taoming Ye, letting them accompany her son to the grave!

...

Since Taoming Ye had awoken, the remaining treatment was just applying medicine and recovering, Su Yixing visited the Tao Mansion twice in a row and then no longer visited daily, but rather came every few days.

This day, the second day of November, the wound on Taoming Ye’s back had healed, and he could stand without the wound tearing. Only then did Su Xing allow Taoming Ye to walk and sit around.

Not having to lie down and maintain the same posture every day was quite relieving for Taoming Ye.

While eating lunch, the two sat next to each other. Taoming Ye picked quite a bit of fish for Su Xing, but just as Su Xing was about to eat, before the fish even reached her mouth, she felt nauseous and rushed out of the room to retch.

Frightened, Taoming Ye hurriedly called someone to fetch the Imperial Physician.

Seeing a guard riding a fast horse to fetch the Imperial Physician, but Su Xing was still retching non-stop, Hong Ye anxiously said: ”I just saw a doctor going to the Fourth Miss’s courtyard, saying the Fourth Miss caught a cold and he was asked to treat it. Why don’t we call him over first to have a look at the Princess?”

Upon hearing this, Taoming Ye immediately said: ”Then go quickly to Mingxiang’s place and call the doctor over.”

Hong Ye left at once.

Soon, the doctor arrived respectfully. Although Su Xing was no longer retching, her face was frighteningly pale because of the retching.

The doctor, trembling with fear, took Su Xing’s pulse thoroughly. Once he determined the cause, he stood up, knelt down, and congratulated: ”Congratulations, Prince Consort, congratulations, Prince Consort, the Princess is with child, already two months pregnant.”

”Really?!” Taoming Ye couldn’t believe it. His treasured wife was pregnant?

Su Xing also couldn’t believe it. Did they truly have a child now, when they had longed for one?

The doctor said: ”Absolutely true. I have taken pulses for so many years, I wouldn’t misdiagnose, this is indeed a pregnancy pulse, the Princess is with child.”

Taoming Ye was overjoyed and quickly instructed someone to reward the doctor.

The doctor kowtowed to receive the reward. Since Su Xing’s was pregnancy nausea, a normal reaction, he didn’t prescribe any medicine for Su Xing.

Hong Ye escorted the doctor out.

Ru Song and the others were also very happy. They knew a bit about this; their masters all wished for a child.

Su Xing was lying in bed at that moment. Taoming Ye was so happy that he sat on the bed and held Su Xing’s hand: ”Xin’er, you are pregnant, we are going to have a child.”

”Yes, yes.” Su Xing was overjoyed too. She had always hoped to have a child, and now her wish had finally come true.

Unconsciously, her hand moved to her still flat belly. There, a new life had already begun to grow, a child of her and her husband. It was truly wonderful, truly wonderful.

When the Imperial Physician arrived, he also diagnosed that Su Xing was with child.

Taoming Ye rewarded the Imperial Physician as well.

The Imperial Physician also advised on some precautions to take during pregnancy, admonishing carefully, and Taoming Ye remembered every detail meticulously before allowing the Imperial Physician to leave.
